10) Delilah

The dressed-up lady started to walk towards Peter and he slowly backed away. "Mam, call the police and get to a safe place ok?" he instructed. The lady nodded taking the phone out of her bag and speed walking away.

"I can't let you do that. It would look bad if I failed this contract out of everything. I have a reputation you know?" the woman spoke and then began to sprint towards Peter. She tried to punch Peter head-on, it was quick, but Peter and his spidey sense were quicker. He dodged and the fist grazed his mask and Peter quickly punched her below the chest and backed away a little.

The woman let out a quiet groan. "You have quite the strength despite your skinny look" she replied and entered a fighting stance before closing in again. She did a faint with her left causing Peter to dodge before being kicked right in his hip. Peter gushed saliva as the power she held was no joke his enter body got rattled and he felt his organs slightly move from the force. He could easily take a hit from a crowbar, yet this woman's punch hurt him beyond belief.

Before he could recover and even acknowledge the pain he was hit with another straight in the face causing him to move backwards with a bleeding nose.

"Is that all you have? How disappointing" she taunted before closing the distance again. Peter was now fearful of what she would do and decided to web up her eyes. She couldn't react in time and her vision was blocked. She tried to rip the web off, but to no avail "WHAT DID YOU DO!" she screamed before getting slugged in the face by Peter causing her to take a step back also bleeding from the nose.

"YOU BASTARD" She yelled and scraped the web from her eyes and saw Peter's fist right in front of her face before she got slammed again. She stepped back but quickly countered and bashed Peter's side with her left hand causing him to groan and his legs to wobble. She went in for a skin kick but Peter jumped 3 meters into the air and swung himself to the wall holding one and recovering.

He had searing pain all across his face and hip. Not even getting beat by Flash could compare to the damage the mystery woman caused to him, he would take Flash any day. Peter was scared. 'Can I really do this? Can I be a superhero? Please stop the pain' was going through his mind. He wasn't sure he was cut out to be a hero anymore, but he didn't have time to think anymore.

The woman had picked up a large bin from the ground and held it above her with relative ease. 'How can she do that?' questioned Peter, no normal human can do that. Not long after the object was thrown towards him and Peter webbed the other wall and swung towards it, with the metal bin crashing into the wall, breaking through, and left slightly hanging.

Screams could be heard from the hole in the wall and the woman spat out blood and glared at Peter once more. "I've fought worse. Tell me your name freak" she demanded.

After hearing the shouts of the people in the building opposite he recomposed himself and hyped himself back up, getting ready to fight once more. "Kinda rude to ask a name and not state yours first and freak? really. Last time I checked no normal guy can throw garbage as elegantly as you" replied Peter back in his talkative self.

"Fine, I guess I can tell you. Delilah." she replied

"I think you're very adept as a bin-lady if I may just recommend, but lovely name Delilah. I'm Spider-Man by the way. I think we've really bonded you know?" Quipped Peter.

"How funny. How much longer will you be able to crack jokes before I break your skull" she replied in a joking manner and started walking towards yet another bin.

'That's terrifying' thought Peter and replied with "Sorry, but we just don't know each other well enough for that yet. I appreciate the offer though". Another large bin was thrown his way but this time he jumped over it and slung it over himself, slamming back down towards Delilah who placed her arms in a block. The sound of the metal slamming into her was loud followed by it crashing into the ground. Peter landed back onto the floor slightly panting.

'I didn't kill her right?' Peter questioned as he started jogging towards the bin worried he accidentally just killed her. The Bin creaked as it was slowly lifted and Delilah emerged with blood dripping from her forehead.

She rubbed her nose, stretched her arms, and cracked her neck. "You're dead Spider-Man" she cursed while reaching for something. She pulled out a throwing knife and flung it towards Peter who dodged by bending backwards.

'She's alive alright' thought Peter before shooting some web towards her eyes again. This time Delilah blocked them with her arms tying them together. Peter rushed forward and hooked her hips, but she quickly ripped apart the webs that held her arms together and then ear-clapped Peter with great speed and force.

Peter felt immense pain in his ears and he held onto them while stumbling from being so dizzy. Delilah punched the gunshot wound and then went for another knife.

Peter was still recovering from the ear clap when another searing pain roared across his body from his shoulder. He yelled in agony and his dizziness quickly faded due to the immense pain he was feeling. The tingle screamed across his body once more as a knife was slowly being thrust towards his throat. He dodged just in time and the blade slightly nicked the side of his neck.

He webbed Delilah's feet to the ground and backed away. He then webbed the bin that was still behind her and wrapped the web around his hands before pulling as quickly and as forcefully as he could. While Delilah was trying to break free she got slammed in the back and fell to her knees.

Police sirens could heard closing in, 'Finally!' Peter thought and smiled. He managed to survive the wait for the police and prepared to leave and let them handle it.

Delilah heard the sirens as well and like a savage beast tore through the web that encased her feet and began to sprint away, vaulting over the bin.

"No you don't" Peter exclaimed and slung himself into the air to see Delilah making a run for it. He webbed her back, but she turned around quickly twisted the web around her hand, and pulled Peter in. He was in mid-air and couldn't stop himself from being slammed into the ground.

"It's been fun Spider-Man, but I'm afraid it's time we depart," she said starting to sprint away. Peter stood on one knee and kept his grip on the web stopping her from escaping and he eventually got back onto his feet.

Delilah turned around and ran towards Peter who fell on his ass as his rope could no longer pull her because she closed the distance. He tried to get back up and fight but was swiftly handled with a kick to the sternum causing him to fall in pain and releasing the rope from his hand.

Delilah ran out of the alley and the sound of a car door opening and shutting with the sirens as loud as they could be while Peter lay flat on the concrete floor.

"FREEZE" Shouted an officer.

Peter was shaken and quickly rose back up to his feet and swung himself to the rooftop with the police trying to shoot him.

He continued to run away across the rooftops of the tall building for a while before stopping and collapsing on the ground from exhaustion. He was panting and sweating, so he decided to take off his mask which was now mostly covered with blood. Peter's face was bloody and bruised. Small drops fell from his ears. He laid on his back and closed his eyes, falling unconscious.
