1 Chapter 1: Beginning of everything

The story begins at the dawn of time. God of fire and lightning, Liu Kang has defeated Kronika, the keeper of time, who was threatening the long lasting peace between the realms. Now it was up to him to resculpt the sands of time, to reshape history itself and create a perfect, peaceful timeline. Everybody thought that Shang Tsung, the soul sorcerer would betray them. Fearing for the safety of the realms, Liu Kang, Raiden, Fujin and the Elder Gods exiled him to Nertherrealm, where he would burn for eternity, but they were wrong about his intensions.

Time itself was restarted safely. For a thousand years Shang Tsung was in bondage, tortured by hellfire. Then one day he senced something familiar, something powerful. He focused his magic to find out what was disturbing him so much and he found a young boy who didn't look much from the outside. He was the most ordinary person the sorcerer met, but he was suprised to find an incredible amount of power surging inside him. In fact it was so powerful, it was capable of erasing the realms in a snap. Shang Tsung knew if that power grew uncontrolable all realms would be doomed, and he spent the next 7 years attempting to break out of The Netherrealm.

When Peter was 12, he got bit by a radiactive spider, which granted him incredible strength, agility, perception, and spider-like abilities. After some time of experimenting with his powers, he appeared to New York as The Amazing Spider-Man. People rejoiced at the site of him stopping robberies, accidents and murder. At first the police was feeling threatened by Spider-Man and thought of him as a threat to national security, but then they changed.

One evening, when he was walking home he saw a lot of people crowded near his block of flats. He went to see what had happened, worrying it might be Uncle Ben. He shoved that thought aside, but it immedietly came back when he saw Ben's almost lifeless body lying on the ground, with severe blood loss. He rushed to him.

"Stay Back!" An officer told Peter.

"HE'S MY UNCLE!" Peter cried. The officer let him pass and he crouched near Uncle Ben.

"What's happened here?"

"A car jacker has shot him. Don't worry, paramedics are on their way."

"Uncle Ben? Uncle Ben?" Peter called for him calmly.

"Peter..." Ben said with a shaky voice. He raised his hand and Peter took it.

"Peter..." Ben said as he drifted off upwards to a better world. His hand dropped on his body. Peter was in tears, he looked down at his hand closing his eyes... but suddenly a voice called out to him and he slowly looked up.

"You have the power to avenge him, why are you still standing here?" The voice asked.

Peter stood up and ran to an alleyway changing to his spandex suit. He swung as high as he could to get a better view of the city and he found Uncle Ben's car being chased by police. He went into action by landing on the vinil roof of the car, ripping it open and grabbing the wheel steering it to right and making it crash into an old abandoned hotel. Some police cars stopped by the crash site but Denice, the killer of his uncle, was already out of the car. He rose his gun and went around the building, scared for his life and from what had attacked him on the road. Suddenly he looked up to the wall to see a person web him up on the roof, wrapping his arms and legs and making him hang upside down.

"Please, please don't hurt me." Denice said in fear.

Suddenly Peter heard a snicker, which had him look around to see a man standing in the shadows. He got out of the shadows.

"I can see that you have succeded in catching your first pray" The old man said.

"Who are you?" Peter said, his face filled with anger.

"My name is Shang Tsung, I am a soul sorcerer. I have come to mentor you." The old man revealed himself.

"Why would I need you as my mentor?" Peter asked, webbing Denice's mouth.

"The power that you have discovered is only a fraction of your full capabilities. I saw you at that moment, I felt your heart fill with anger, hatred. If you do not control your emotions, your power will grow out of control, the consequences will be disastrous. I came to prevent that." The sorcerer explained to the young boy.

"But what does this power give me? Almost everyone I loved is now dead. DEAD! ALL OF THAT FOR... FOR THIS?!" Peter shouted.

"Do not let your anger cloud your mind and consume your soul, young one. Instead let the souls of others feast on it" Shang Tsung said. He put his hand on Peter's shoulder and looked at Dennice, so did Peter.

"Focus on your emotions. Let your hands guide his soul to you." Shang Tsung educated.

Something green started to glow around Dennice as his soul was starting to slowly come out of his body. As more Peter drained he became more... stable. Upon fully draining the soul out of the burglar, his body dropped to the floor, his face looked like everything has been sucked out of him. Peter looked at his hands, which still had been glowing green. He was calming down, all the fear, anger, hate... gone.

"Come, you have much to learn, young one..." The sorcerer opened a portal leading to his island.

They both went through the portal. Peter was scared. The island was dark, corpses of shaolin monks were everywhere and there was a tall temple, towering over the island. The entered into that building, it was brighter, unlike anything on that island, there was a small tea table. Shang Tsung sat near the table and extended his hand, asking Peter to sit. He obliged, watching as the sorcerer poured some tea in two tiny tea cups.

"The reason why I brought you here is because I learnt soul sorcery here. Here you will learn to use your power solely relying on skill, but for now you must forget all the anger, fear, hatred." Shang Tsung explained.

"What will I learn exactly?" Peter asked.

"Many things, most importantly how to use souls to either increase your power, collect knowledge or to heal your wounds recieved in battle. But be cautious, if anyone sees you using your power, Liu Kang will discover your presence. We cannot allow that to happen, at least not now, but when it happens you must be ready" Shang Tsung said.

After some training and consuming more souls, Peter was as swift in close range combat as he was fluent in Spanish. Although he still had much more to learn, he was feeling somewhat confident.

Next Morning Peter woke up, brushed his teeth, dressed up and went to school. He met up with his best friend Ned and they started talking about Star Wars and Legos, which I don't know if you know is what they basically do every single day. Ned also expressed his condolences to Peter's uncle. Two days ago Peter wasn't really that exited about a Judo coach coming to their school to have a martial arts classes instead of P.E. for the rest of the year, but now he was keen to test his abilities. They changed into their P.E. uniforms, and went to the room they were told to. After meeting the coach and discussing some questions, they began practice. Only several in the class were familiar to martial arts, and only a few have fully mastered them, unfortunately one of them was Eugene Thompson, otherwise known as Flash. Flash is a dumb, arrogant, overconfident jerk, who doesn't like not getting what he wants. Over the course of several years he has been bullying mostly Peter, who always restrained himself. Now he had the chance for revenge. The coach lined up several classmates for a match. Flash downed every single one of his opponents. Then Michelle Jones stood up, wanting to teach a lesson to Flash. At first she was successful in parrying his attacks and even landed a hit, but she was no match for Flash. As he was about to hit a final blow, Peter stepped in and kicked Flash. He helped Michelle up and looked back at Flash. Uncle Ben's teachings came into play at that moment.

"Enough!" He said, pointing at Flash.

"Stay out of this, Parker!"

Flash was having none of it. He jumped in the air to kick Peter in the head only to be thrown back by him. No matter how hard he hit Peter, Flash couldn't get him to budge from his position, instead being heavily pounded by fast fists, eventually succumbing to his injuries, he surrendered. Everybody was dumbfounded, even the coach, who personnaly taught Flash Judo. After the classes Ned was keen to investigate.

"DUDE?! WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO FIGHT LIKE THAT?!" Ned asked.

"Long Story, anyway, I'm hungry, let's go have some lunch." Peter evaded the question.

Everyone was already asking how did a nerd like Peter beat the crap out of Flash, to them it felt impossible. Michelle on the other hand felt something was wrong with Peter, she was also keen to investigate.

After lunch, Peter and Ned went to their lockers, talking about Star Wars and Legos, as usual. As he was putting his books in the locker, Flash approached him. He tried to hit him but Peter closed the locker and moved out of the way, so the only thing Flash hit was the locker. It bended.

"Thought I was just gonna let you kick my ass and walk away, Parker?" Flash said.

But Peter didn't move, what Flash didn't notice was the principal, Mr. Morita walking by.

"FLASH!" The principal exclaimed.

Flash stopped just as his hand was 1 centimeter away from Peter's face.

"To my office." The principal ordered.

And just like that Flash was flashing no more. Chatter flooded the halls, mostly about Flash's appalling demise. Peter went back to putting his books in the locker. Suddenly a popular and very much valued girl approached him. It was Liz Toomes.

"Not gonna lie, you got some beef, Parker. Not like that loser Michelle-" She was interupted.

"Your ignorance and incompetence is stunning Liz, she held better than the rest. Oh and I shall think about joining the decathlon practice." The rest were stunned. Nobody dared give the cold shoulder to Liz, but Peter was having none of it. In his eyes MJ wasn't a loser. Maybe she didn't have friends, but she was beautiful, stunning. She stood up to Flash not to protect her honor, but her followers.

After classes ended, Peter rushed home. All the way through classes, Peter consealed his sorrow. It was Uncle Ben's funeral day. He tried not to think about it much. He arrived home with time to spare.

"Hey Peter." Aunt May greeted.

Aunt May was the only one left from Peter's family. Their Parents died 7 years ago in a plane crash, his uncle died just yesterday. Peter didn't say anything and went straight to his room. May didn't say anything to that as well. Peter sat on his bed and started thinking about Uncle Ben. He stood up and started changing to the suit that was rented.

Only Peter, May, and some other close friends were at the funeral. Everybody, except Peter left, Aunt May was waiting at the cemetary gate for him. He just stood there. Suddenly a mysterious man approached him.

"The first time I met you, you had an impression that sorcerer once had, but now I see your true self. Maybe I was wrong to banish him to the Netherreal."

It was Liu Kang. Then Shang Tsung came, much to the god's suprise.

"Liu Kang... How-" Shang Tsung was interupted.

"Tracking you was hard, but I was just lucky to find you on your island I presume." Liu Kang said, turning around and walking away.

"Remember, sorcerer, I am watching." He warned.

Shang Tsung didn't say anything, he just left, so did Peter. He and May took a taxi home. Peter spent the rest of the day fighting crime.

~3 YEARS LATER~

Peter was now a skilled master of soul sorcery, like the sorcerer himself. After defeating Shao Kahn, who tried merging Earthrealm with Outworld, he gained trust and respect from Kitana Kahn, the new Kahn of Outworld. He has been offered from Liu Kang to be another protector of Earthrealm, which is an honorable mantle, but he declined.

As the moon's darkness dominated the skies, Peter traveled to Shang Tsungs island. He entered the temple and found the sorcerer in the armory, a room he has never been to before.

"Ah. You're here, good. I have a suprise for you." Shang Tsung said.

They both walked to a set of armour with weapons displayed on the center of the round room. The armor was painted red and black, decorated with gold accents.

"For a thousand years, the Japanese Empire was being protected by the Kensei, ruthless wariors and masters of the sword, my father was one of them. This armor belonged to him. Then it was passed to me. Now I pass it to you" Shang Tsung took the massive sword and gave it to Peter, who started to get aquainted with it.

"Thank you, master." Peter said. They both bowed to each other.

"You can use your powers to summon this armour and this weapon anywhere at anytime." Shang Tsung said.
