PETER PARKER/SPIDER-MAN must contend with his normal relationship with MARY JANE, as well as his superhero relationship with newcomer FELICIA HARDY/BLACK CAT. Meanwhile, OTTO OCTAVIUS/DR. OCTOPUS'S old protege CAROLYN TRAINER managed to locate her old mentor, and has been resucitating him after his last battle with Spider-Man and plotting his revenge by organizing 5 of Spider-Man's incarcerated foes.
