12 Slightly Important News

Hello readers, these past fews days I've been having a problem with this story in my head. That problem mainly lies with the beginning of the past, mostly the before Peter is stuck in a coma.

Most might have forgot considering that I've wiped a lot of peter's memories, only keeping some important reminders that Peter is actually a self insert. For those unaware it basically meant that someone else was put into Peter's body, like a different soul or mind.

At first it sounded cool in my mind, till I realized now that it was just being lazy with my story. I mean I'm basically creating an alternate universe so the point of having a self insert really didn't needed to be added into it.

Maybe if this story was just 616 or MCU it would have been okay to have a self insert.

Anyway the point being is that the beginning of this story has been bothering me for days. So I thought why not just rewrite most of the beginning stuff.

Now don't go groaning about having to reread because in fact you won't have to. Because the story wouldn't be affected at all because of the rewriting of the first 3-4 chapters. There is things that will be the exact same and things that will be different.

The things that will stay the same are.

Mary is still friends with the Osborn's. Peter still gets into a car crash. Peter having knowledge of Spider-Man, but with a twist.

Things that are different.

Peter is not a self insert or reincarnate. He is the original Peter of this universe, not someone stuck in a baby's body or child's body. Just himself. Peter and Harry have been friends slightly earlier than five.

Here is the biggest one. Why does Peter still know about Spider-Man if he is just the normal Peter of this universe? Well that's because I decided to take the concept of Doctor Strange 2, with how Stephen was capable of seeing his other selfs life while asleep in the beginning of the movie

The implication is that Peter was, before the car crash, capable of dreaming into the lives of Peter Parkers across the multiverse. Thus retaining slight bits of knowledge from them. It explains why he feels like he knows the name Parker and Thompson without ever actually meeting people with those last names.

I'm sorry that I keep changing crap, but at the end of the day I want to be happy with my own story, even if I'm publishing it for others to read and judge.

Those chapters aren't out yet, but I'll let people know when if they want to read. Remember that it's entirely voluntary, no need to go back to read it because it does not affect the current story. This is just to settle down the turmoil in my own mind.

I would also like to point out that Romita Sr. has died, very unfortunate news. That guy drew some of the most iconic moments in early Spider-Man after Ditko (The good days of Spider-Man before we had to deal with shit from current times).
