74 Chapter 74

[Third Person's PoV]

Seeing doc ock unable to move, Gwen went back into swinging catching up with the others.

Peter B and Gwen then started glitching causing them to fall from the skies.

"PETER!" Miles yelled out.

As they fell, Peni swooped down on her Mecha catching Gwen on time, while Spider-Noir caught Peter B as Miles wasn't quick enough to catch him.

Spider-Ham then appeared underneath the computer that Peter B accidently released and started running around in circles with his arms out.

"I got it, I got it, I got" he kept repeating as the computer fell into his hands.

"Thanks" Gwen stayed towards Peni. While Peter B said the same towards Noir.

Spider-Ham looked at the computer in his hand and made a shushing motion, "shhh, There's no need to say anything, I accept your gratitude"

Meanwhile Doc ock's tentacle hands started spinning around rapidly inside the ice that held them in place and cut her way through them.

As she got out, she sent her tentacle, which now appeared to have a saw at the end of it, towards Spider-Ham as he was the one with the computer.

His spidey-sense warned him of the danger, which caused him to jump up, avoiding the saw, "sorry I don't want to become pork chops!"

That surprised the others and turned towards where the tentacle came from and were surprised to see her. Which made Gwen let out a loud sigh, "I should have knocked her out"

"Throw it over here!" Peni shouted towards Spider-Ham who did as he was told without hesitation.

As he threw it Doc ock saw her chance and shot her tentacle to intercept it. Peni opened the hatch to her spider Mecha and shot a web towards the computer, getting to it before doc ock and pulling it inside her console and pulling the hatch down, closing it.

Doc ock clicked her tongue, "Worry not, although I was only planning on capture you all, I could afford to kill at least one or two of you"

Her tentacles whipped all over the place destroying some of the trees, she picked them up and threw them all towards them.

They all jumped out of the way, letting their spidey-senses guide them. As doc ock threw one of the logs in front of her, Gwen2 appeared jumping over it and kicking doc ock in her chest which sent her flying back.

She stopped herself with her tentacles before she heard Peter's voice from above as shot his web towards the tentacles making them stick towards the trees,

"Sorry lady but these hands are rated E, for Everyone"

Peter appeared from the sky landing his fist across her face which sent her body flying back.

But due to her tentacles being held in place by the webs she acted like a slingshot and came flying back from where she flew. She swung back and forth, before slowly losing momentum and stopping with her head down, with blood dripping down her mouth and eyes rolled to the back of her head.

He turned towards the others, who were looking at him with their mouths open and gave them a thumbs up, "And that's what I call teamwork! Great job everyone!"

"Wasn't that a little much?" Gwen2 asked with concern in her voice, watching the blood drop onto the snow covered ground.

"Oh that's nothing to worry about" Peter waved her off, "Might I inform you she was trying to kill us, so being a little rough is okay in my book. Anyways let's leave, we completed our mission and who knows if Kingpin will sent reinforcements, so let's skedaddle"

With that Peter shot his web towards the trees and swung away, the others looked at each and swung after Peter.

As they were leaving Peter B turned towards Miles and said, "And that's what not to do when dealing with your villains, you got it kid?" Miles nodded his head following behind them.

Soon after the spiders were a few miles ahead, the scientists weren't able to catch up, so they helped Dr. Olivia unties her from the tree and helps her up by putting her hand over their shoulders, dragging her back towards Alchemax where Kingpin was watching from the Terrace looking annoyed and holding a broken Pen.

Dr. Olivia appeared before Kingpin with blood covering her front,

"I killed Spider-Man! So explain to me why I see a bunch of them swinging about" Kingpin said angrily.

She just smiled exposing her bloody gums and teeth, "No, No, No, this is good, this is actually very good!" Her voice trembled with excitement. "Do you have any idea what this means?"

Seeing that Kingpin wasn't getting She sighed before she explained, "This just means my collider works, those spiders are living proof that there exist multiple universes out there. We would be able to get your family back, all we have to do is kill a couple of spiders. It shouldn't be that hard right? You've done it before."

Kingpin didn't say anything else and turned around walking away, "The deadline still stands, I want my collider up and running by Tomorrow"

"Our collider" she said but Kingpin ignores her.

Kingpin turned towards Tombstone that was next to him, "I need you to make some calls, some who have a common interest and were dissatisfied by how things ended previously"

"How many?" Tombstone asked

The last thing Olivia Octavius hears is Kingpin saying, "As many as you can, we have a spider infestation after all"

They all stood beside each other as they rang the doorbell at Aunt May's house. As she opened the door she smiled warmly at them, "I see, it looks like your mission was a success"

Miles looked down afraid to look at Aunt May feeling guilty.

She then notices two other additions and pauses, looking at Peter B in shock, she slowly walks towards him and puts a hand on his as she mutters, "Peter…"

"Sorry I'm…" before he could correct her, she interrupted him,

"A different Peter I know, I wasn't born yesterday" she rebutted with a smile while shaking her head.

"Sorry" He said with an awkward smile.

She just continued to hold his face smiling, "Life hasn't been treating you well has it? You look tire Peter"

He sighed and shook her head, "I am tired" he chuckled with self-deprecation.

Aunt May looks him over and teases, "And older and much thicker too"

"I know, I know"

Seeing that they were finishing, Miles took the courage to step up, "I was there when it happened…"

But Aunt May stood him too and just gave him a hug, "I know. You're just a kid, this isn't something you should be worrying about."

"Do you mind if we used the shed once more?" Peter asked after realizing they were finished.

She just threw him the keys to the shed which he easily caught with one hand, "You don't need me to lead the way again do you?" She asked with a raised brow.

Peter smirked, "Nah I got it, thanks"

She headed and headed back inside while the others made their way towards the shed, where they took the elevator down towards the bottom floor.

Peter connected the computer with and started extracting the information of the override key with Aria's help.

And while that happened the others turned towards Miles.

"Surprise Attack!" Noir yelled out of the Nowhere taking Miles by surprise as Noir swept his leg causing him to fall.

"Ow! What was that for!?" Miles said standing up.

"The plan was to have you send us home but are you up for it?" Noir asked in a serious tone.

"What? Of course I am this was a mission entrusted to me"

"It may have been entrusted to you but how would we be able to put OUR trust on you. We were watching how you handled yourself out there and it wasn't a pretty site you were just running for your life.

You didn't fight or anything, Kingpin will most likely send me after us, so you have to be ready, Surprise Attack!" Noir shouted once more, knocking Miles down once again.

"Have you ever been in a fight?" He asked

"well no…"

They all then started to overwhelm Miles with a multitude of questions about his skills and worthiness.

"Guys stop it already" Peter B said, taking a stand to defend Miles.

"He may not be able to do some of the things you've said but he has other great skills, he can turn invisible like That Peter and Gwen, show them Miles"

Miles looked at his hands and grunted, "I can't do it on command"

"He can also do the Zappy hand thing, show Miles"

Once more he grunted with his hands out but Nothing happened…

"I bet he has other great skills…"

"Those are the only ones…"

There was a heavy silence and just as Miles was about to disappear he heard Peter's voice.

"You're supposed to blend into your surroundings, not simply disappear, you're not turning invisible just camouflaging. And you're supposed to let the electricity flow through your body.

Electricity/Lightning is too chaotic to be controlled properly and precisely, so you must direct it where you want it to go, kinda like how wires transfer/direct power from one place to another."

They all turned towards Peter who was still typing away, getting access to all the files, not even looking at any of them.

Miles didn't say anything but nodded his head before closing his eyes and disappearing from their view.

And leaving the place, Peter B looked at the others in frustration, "Was that really necessary?" He asked as he saw the elevator start rising up and disappear.

"It was" Peter said, finally looking at them, "Miles doesn't have any real confidence in himself at the moment. So they tore down his fake confidence and left him naked so he could discover it himself"

"You could have been nicer about it, and helped him find the confidence he needed not just jump him like that" Peter B retorted.

"That's the thing, the confidence he needs isn't something others can give him, this is the type of confidence only you yourself can find" Peter said, still not looking at them.

Peter B sighed before shaking his head, meanwhile Peni looked at the large monitor,

"Hey, do you mind if I do it? If I do, it should be done fairly easily with my bestie's help, plus it's time I should give you guys a view of my expertise," she patted the mecha spider.

"Sure go ahead" Peter said before turning back towards Aria and asking her, "Are her inventions there? Cause if they are I just thought of a really good idea"

Aria paused before pulling up a file of a blueprint of 4 tentacles causing Peter to grin widely,

"Here you go daddy" Aria's cute voice announced

Peter turned towards the others and asked, "Are you guys in need of a suit upgrade?"

"No not really" They all said, satisfied with what they had and saw no need to change.

Peter nodded and turned towards Gwen, "Let's go and change, I think it's time we have a suit upgrade"

Gwen looked at the screen and then at Peter before an idea of what Peter was planning formed in her head causing her to smile and nod her head, "Let's go then"
