3 What Lie Beyond The Misty Forest
In the mainland existed 4 kingdoms, Kingdom of Graycastle is the biggest, in its east is Kingdom of Dawn, the furthest west is Kingdom of Everwinter, and located between Kingdom of Everwinter and Kingdom of Dawn is the Kingdom of Wolfheart.
In the west of Kingdom of Graycastle is the Misty Forest where the demons lived in the past. The border between the Misty forest and the territory of Kingdom of Graycastle is the City of Neverwinter where the great war between humans and demons concluded with the demon king was defeated and almost all demons were annihilated.
But no one know what exist in the west of the Misty Forest. During the time Roland reigned as a king, he was too busy with the kingdom politics and developing industries so that he haven't completely explore this matter yet. But from Lightning and Maggie's adventure, he has known that there are also other kingdom civilizatons out there.
After travelling for several months through the forest, Roland's party is finally able to see a town from afar. But before entering the town, it seems Roland must pass the closed wooden gate guarded by two soldiers wearing leather armor. One of the soldiers looks little bit young around 25 years old, the other looks older around 40.
Roland stops the carriage in front of the gate, then get down to ask the guards.
"Excuse me, may our carriage pass through this gate?"
The soldiers are still surprise watching a carriage suddenly appear out from the forest. The young soldier dares himself asking a queston.
"May I ask who are you, Sir? Where do you come from?"
Roland isn't surprise with the guards reaction.
"My name is Roland, I am just a mere peddler from the town in the east of the forest"
The two soldiers are somewhat surprise with the answer. The old soldier then ask sceptically.
"There is another town in the other side of the forest? Why do you come here then? And how are you able to pass through the forests? Even if we never see any demons anymore, there are still so many dangerous beasts such as wolfand tiger out there."
Fortunately, Roland was already preparing adequate answers for many questions that may appear.
"Yes in other side of the forest there is a city called Neverwinter City. We come here to fulfill the task from our chief to expand the trading of our company. We enter the forests with ten bodyguards, but after experiencing several attack from the wild beasts only me, my wife and one body guard that arrive here safely"
The soldiers half believe the story. But then got surprised seeing two figures get down from the carriage. One is a a beautiful lady with blue-eyes and flaxen hair, the other one is wearing a steel armor and full face mask. Even the guards can't recognize whether the figure is a male or a female. After several seconds passed, the older guard finally cuts to the case.
"Okay, let us check all the goods you are carrying first."
The guards then enter the back side of the carriage
"There are furs, spices, books, and several tools that we never seen before. Also are these liquors?"
The old guard points at several barrels. Then roland begins to explain.
"Yes, those tools are my company original creation. One is used for cooking and the other one is for cooling the drinks. And yes those barrels are filled with liquors, also one of the speciality of my trading company. Oh, and let me give you guys good taste of our liquor."
Rolands opens the small refrigerator powered by magic stones and take one bottle of liquor from it. Then pour it into two small glasses.
"Here, just try one sip."
The guards receive the glasses and smell the drinks first. After confirming it does smell like a fruit liquor they begin to drink.
"Wow, this is the truly the best thing i ever drink."
"I have lived for 42 years and i never drink any liquor this good. The combination of the taste and the coolness is matchless."
The young soldier exclaimed. And the old soldiers added.
Roland isn't surprise at all with the guards' reaction, as the liquor they just drink is a recreation of Chaos Drink made by Evelyn. After the two emptied the glasses, Roland begins to ask.
"So you guys have done with the inspection. Do our carriage may pass then?"
The old guard puts down the glass and answers.
"Well usually we ask 2 silvers for the toll, but you probably don't even have our country currency. Just give us one bottle of that liquor and we will let you pass."
Roland gives the bottle and the guards open the closed gate. Roland felt relieved finally able to enter the town. But before the carriage fully enter the gate, Roland hears the young guard shouted.
"Welcome to the Borneo Town."
