9 Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Chapter 8

We walk towards the inside the campus of the St. Claire Academy just like we always do every morning before attending the class we spending a half-hour in front of the campus library, sitting on the long chair were in a maple tree standing beside it. Mandy has always a pack of breakfast for the three of us that her mother prepared.

My eyes are looking for Liam because I want to know if the love magic spell that Aunt Salina did will work.

I said goodbye to them for a while to call Mia because I needed her help. I went to a parking lot and I whisper Mia's name.

I call Mia many times, but after minutes of waiting, Mia doesn't show to me. I wonder what happen to her. I decided to go back where Mia and Andy was, I have fifteen minutes to find Liam.

It took me surprise when I see Liam is talking to Mandy right now and Mia is on their side. Crazy Mia, she makes me feel worried actually. I raise my eyebrow at her and suddenly she comes over me.

"I never know you are here, I call you many times."

"It would be nice that I help you to solve your mission now?"

"Yeah, I thank you." I glance at her and walks back to Mandy and Andy. "

" What I have missed? I asked of them.

"Oh, my god Thana, you never believe this…."

"What?" Mandy is still in the clouds while saying those words to me.

"Liam asked me to be his date for the Prom." Mandy's smile can't be faded on her lips.

"Oh, great I am so happy for you."

"I'm sorry. Mandy, Thana…but I don't believe that guy. Is he really serious?"

Mandy just stared at Andy and took her belongings and pulled me away from him.

"Hey, I'm just saying that…. He is just…

" Shut up Andy!!!" Mandy shouted Andy.

Mandy and I walked quickly away from him. We went to the locker room to get some books that we needed for our class.

Just like the day before Victoria is still ruining Mandy's life, we just pass on them and ignored everything that they said. This is like ordinary school days. I am so thankful that right now my life is peaceful and live like a normal teenager's life.

On our way back to our room, I bumped again to Lucas just like as he did before he just looks at me and smiled then said nothing. Mandy helps me to pick up all the books that throw on the ground.

"That guy is so arrogant, he made me this to me twice."

"Hmm… Really?

" Do you want me to teach him a lesson? "

" No, it's okay. " I just look at Lucas walking away from the crowd of students.

" No, it's not. " Mandy looks at me so weird. I wonder what she is thinking now.

" Don't worry, I have an idea."

We took again a long exam, all professors give an exam before the weekend and other than that the school and all of the students of the St. Claire Academy will be busy in preparation for the Prom.

It will not too hard for me to answer my exams, I was being fair to the others and I study my lessons and luckily I will pass my exams without the help of my magic.

After the exam, Mandy invited me to join her and together with us is Andy. I don't have any idea where she will take us, she never told so we just walk along the street and she's busy reading Liam's messages. She's head over heels to Liam that I am afraid of, Andy gets tired of walking and stops for a while.

"Mandy, I'm tired… Can you please tell us where are we going?"

Mandy just smiled at Andy to further annoy him.

"Ask Thana."

"What? Why me? As I confessed to Mandy.

" Tomorrow is a night Prom, so we will go to your house and make it over. " Mandy smiled in her crazy face.

" I agreed with her, and I ask your mom for permission to be my date for the Prom. " Andy said seriously.

I just breathe heavily there is nothing I could do now our house is just two blocks away, so this is the place,n Mandy, to my surprise, even though I have never let other people into our house.

What will my grandmother and mother say? Aunt Salina will not be a problem, she will understand me.

I hope Mandy and Andy were not scared my Grandmother and mother's stares were sharp on them, while Aunt Salina greeted them happily. Craft comes over me and jumps over to Andy. I guess she likes Andy.

After we had a meal that my mother prepared for us, we went to my bedroom and Andy is enjoying playing with Craft.

Mandy looks around in my bedroom and she opens my closet, she suddenly pulled me and made me sit in front of the mirror.

"What will you do? I asked her.

" Hmm. A makeover. " She slightly brought her face closer to my cheek and smiled in front of the mirror.

Mandy pulls the tie off my hair and brushes it, she handed a scissors and to my surprise, Mandy cut my long hair that I took care of for many years

" What did you do? " I shout at her that startle me from cutting off my hair.

"Oh, I'm cutting your hair you need a total makeover."

"No, I don't need this." I stand in my seat and walk away from her.

"You need that, common….believe me, I am your friend."

I sit back and there is nothing I can do now, Mandy cut my hair. It is short to shoulder length, she dyes my hair too with a blonde colour different from the natural colour of my hair, she also fixed my eyebrow and put a nail polished.

Andy just stared at us and seemed bored with what we were doing maybe, he gets tired of playing with Craft.

After a long hour of Mandy's making a makeover with me, she brings me to the front of the mirror to look at my reflection.

I was too amazed by what I saw, I can't believe that the girl in the mirror is me, to my great delight I hugged her tightly.

Even, Andy looks so amazed with me when he sees me in my new look.

"See, I told you… You will love it."

I smiled at her and glance again at the mirror.

"Oh. Mirror. Mirror on the wall who is the girl looks so beautiful." Mandy said and we both laugh aloud.

Andy just keeps silent, I can see in his eyes that he is too bored. Mandy came into my closet and rummaged by my clothes.

"Oh, look at this Thana… This is too beautiful, for you." Mandy found my one long purple dress half sleeves, a sheet with elegant embroidery on it.

"You will look beautiful tomorrow night." Mandy smiled and she tries to fit my dress for me.

"Oh, not just me… You should look too beautiful, too and Liam is your Prom date."

She almost tore her face in a smile when she heard Liam's name.

We went out of my room and went to the living room where my mother stood up with astonishment when she sees my new look.

Aunt Salina was amazed too by me in changed by my appearance.

"Oh, Thana is that you?"

"Yes, Aunt Salina.."

"Mandy you are too gifted… How you do that?"

Aunt Salina was almost amazed at Mandy.

"Well, I did nothing, I just makeover Thana. She's beautiful in many ways,

Mandy smiled when she says these words to Aunt Salina.

My mother just stared at me and there's a moment she glanced to Mandy and then to Andy.

" We have a night Prom tomorrow night and Andy is my date." I bluntly say to my mother and my Aunt Salina.

"A date?" My mother almost screamed from what she heard.

I am hoping that I can attend the Prom. Being a witch is not too helpful at all times.
