1 Chapter 0: Prologue

The world was overcome by chaos. In a blink of an eye monsters of all kinds began entering the world through anomalies.

It was a catastrophe.

In those split seconds the world began to develop a system where the "chosen" would become players to defeat said monsters. It was as though it was a defense mechanism that was activated in fear of the human race thinning.

On the results of this happening the world began to look less modern and dungeons began to form for players to receive rewards of all kinds. From the uncommon of items to things like cash, armor, weapons, and many more.

Guilds started forming, those that were evil and those that were good. Even PVP against stronger or weaker players have become a thing.

I wasn't a player, but I wanted to be.

I was too shy and people always found me creepy and hard to handle. But I was born with the mind of a genius, ever since I was young I was always a little more intelligent than the average human.

I loved video games the most, ones that include RPGS or MMORPGs, if it meant I could level up and become someone amazing I wanted to be involved.

So when the world became a game itself and people started rising as players, I was the most stoked.

But why? Why wasn't I "Chosen!?"

Was it because I was too weak?

I'm not too sure, as an eighteen year old who have already graduated college it was not something I could comprehend.

If I could become a player, if I too can meet people who will stay beside me that enough would make me happy. To become strong, to get noticed, to change. I would like that very much.

So after stumbling upon a hidden dungeon in my own basement, you could imagine my reaction.

Is this it? Is this my chance to become great?

Was the last words I remembered before the bright light and then as if it was all a dream I woke up again in my bed.
