Who Needs A Dragon To Kidnap A Princess When We Have Spear Boy

(Cao Cao POV)

"So, Disciple, while I am not one to question your decisions. Why are we in Romanina exactly?" Scathach asks as we stand on a cliff overlooking Tepes Castle. Scylla, meanwhile, was enjoying having her human form back and, after giving her some money and a bag of holding, asked if she wanted to spoil herself, and she was gone faster than the wind.

"Well, when I accessed the balance breaker, I felt the presence of another holy Longinus, but what alarmed me was how weak the spirit was, and I wanted to investigate. And worst case scenario, decide whether or not to end the wielder's misery or try to help them." My response made her nod as she used runes on her eyes to try and scan the castle and its defenses.

"For an old castle, it is decently well-defended, but no one there is above ultimate class and Power other than that Longinus user; multiple wards are blocking her signature, and if I poke further, every bloodsucker in the nation will bear down on us." I came to the same conclusion as using my yes. I could see the wards and enchantments along the walls.

"So, Master, do you wish to do this stealthy or go in loud?" I ask as she takes out her spear and says.

"Disciple, this will be my first battle after leaving the Land of Shadows, so allow a woman to have her fun." I give her a nod, and she jumps down off the cliff and lands in the classic superhero landing pose. As I float behind her, I give her a ten/ten sigh using human magic, and she shakes her head in amusement.

Walking towards the gate to the castle, the two guards, noticing us, yell out, "Halt! Identify yourselves, intruders, lest you both become tonight's meal!" Scathach doesn't even flinch as she just keeps walking forward, and I, using concealment, walk behind her.

More guards then appear out of the gate wielding lances and swords as I wonder where the shadow magic and blood arts are, but then I remember that they are DXD vampires and not Vampires from shows like Hellsing or books like My Wives Are Three Beautiful Vampires. Considering that almost all of them are males, it seems that the war against the Carmilla faction is still ongoing.

Scathach then stops in front of them, and using telepathy, I ask, "So you feel like keeping these guys busy while I kidnap a princess?"

Scathach, with a questioning tone, asks, "Don't you mean rescue a princess disciple?"

"No, I am basically kidnapping her but semantics. Have fun, Master." I then walk right past them and enter the castle.

(Scathach POV)

Chuckling at his lackadaisical answer, I grab my spear from my pocket space and say, "Anyone who is willing to die, come attack me!"

"Who are you to order us fresh blood!" One of them asks as I use fire runes to turn him to ash, which causes a large number of them to back away in fear.

Truly, these leeches are an embarrassment to vampires. I remember when the first families of Carmilla, Tepes, and even Dracula rose to power, and I witnessed the true power of a primordial vampire. It took nearly everything I had to kill that thing, but now look what has become of them.

"I am embarrassed to have respected your ancestor, seeing what his descendants have become leeches hiding in the dark whose stories only managed to scare small children. This won't even be considered a warm-up now. If any of you consider yourselves somewhat brave, then come die in honorable combat against my spear."

This sets them off as they rush me in their arrogance, and as I summon my runes around me, light appears before me before rolling in waves against them.

The first group of leeches disintegrates instantly as I rush through the light wave and stab one through the heart. As he disintegrates, I swing his body around and slam it against multiple other vampires, and as they are thrown away, many more attempt to encircle me, to which I scoff and jump into the air using a rune of the earth to lessen gravity on my body. I then slammed into the ground, causing a massive ripple effect to course through the nearby yard.

"Who are you!" One yells as they continue struggling against me. I feel the warmth of their blood upon my body and feel the familiar thrill of combat coursing through my veins.

"You are not worthy enough to know my name, and the fact that it has been so long that my very presence does not inspire fear is sad. Truly, time is the greatest adversary. How can a race forget the very being that slayed their ancestor all those centuries ago." This news then causes a majority of them to pause.

"It can't be. You cannot be her! She is dead and gone! That Witch is rotting in her land of shadows forever!" I then smile at them with my eyes glowing brightly in the night as I spin my spear in the air.

They then sadly begin to panic and use their Shadow Magics to try to ensnare me in Shadow Vines, to which I simply cut all of them apart with a couple of swipes of my spear, yet most continue to try and bind me to which I simply use my own shadow runes to counteract their attacks and capture their own shadows.

And upon pulling their Shadows away and cutting them down, their bodies become lifeless and fall as if their strings had been cut. Such futile combat makes me miss those early spars with my Disciple.

For when you slay a shadow, you slay that person's history and presence in the world; as such, they have no place in it and are rejected. I see dozens of them fall to the ground and utter, "Stagnation and pride have cost you all your strength. Existence has defeated you all. So consider this a courtesy for me to end your lives at my hand. "

Most of them are now too afraid to even move, with some throwing the lesser vampires into the fray, and as I see them frothing at the mouth for my blood, I almost feel pity for them as lesser vampires have little to no will at all. The humanity had been stripped from them and remained but blood bags for the higher vampires to feats on.

"For what it is worth, I am sorry for what has become of all of you. Now rest and be at peace." I say to them all as I then rush into the horde of flesh-eating beasts.

I wonder how my troublesome Disciple is doing?

(Cao Cao POV)

The feeling of power is a liberating one. As knowing that no one could touch you was something both foreign and comforting to me. And I was now in a position to mess with some plans.

I walk through multiple patrols, running towards the main gate to stop Scathach, but I know she will be fine.

Based on the amount of screams and energy coming off the battlefield, the local vampire population will definitely be seeing a decline in the current time. And so I walk through the castle and admire how boring it is. It's nothing but a normal medieval castle but somehow more morose and dull.

The only colors you will see are red, gray, and maybe some gold accents on some of the paintings and rugs. Even the paintings are mostly just self-portraits of their ancestors, and I wonder how much they desire to jerk themselves off to what they used to be.

But I did not come here to admire vampire architecture but to see if there was something worth saving here, and as I arrived at a tower and felt the wards coalesce here, I simply placed one finger on the wards and added myself to them and gave myself admin access.

The wards themselves were hiding in a room within Valerie's normal quarters. And while at first glance you would believe that they were taking care of her given the nice bed and decent conditions, you would be wrong.

It would not take too meticulous of an eye to notice how little everything has been moved or even used, especially the beds. You would find indentations or even a semblance of use, and the fact that there's dust on the mattress is a dead giveaway. This was a room for show only, and when I looked into the secret room, I admitted to feeling very much annoyed.

Blood coated the room, as all there was in this prison cell was a hay bed, expired food, and many experimentation materials from chairs, scalpels, knives, injectors, and other unsavory devices. What made it worse was that whoever was using them didn't even clean them or replace them, which only increased the possibility of infection.

It seemed like Gasper was already gone, so Rias's peerage is complete, which is sad as that means that Rias got Akeno in 2000 while she then got Koneko and Kiba between 2003 and 2004, and since it is Late March in 2005, Gasper must have run away very recently.

And from the signature I'm sensing from Valerie's Longinus, it is very much recently awakened, so they must have used psychological manipulation to make her believe that they either killed him or he ran away from her to awaken it.

Luckily, she hasn't manifested the three Grails yet, but her soul is still a mess; a normal being is not meant to have power over life and death. And the pure esoteric lore within those cups would overwhelm her being. Thankfully, none of the cups had been taken from her yet, as she had not managed to manifest her subspecies balance breaker.

As I see her failure of a brother, Marius Tepes flicks a needle, preparing to inject her with some type of chemical. I walk through the door and tap him on the shoulder.

As he turned around and saw me, he tried to scream, but I grabbed him by the mouth and placed a finger over my lips. Soon enough, he tried to use magic to trigger the wards, but I simply negated it using my human magic and holy affinity. And decided to be a bit extra, I summoned my spear and let him bathe in a percent of its light.

I condensed the aura around just us so that it wouldn't hit Valerie, but I saw his skin begin to burn and his eyes water in agony as I pulled him closer.

"So, does this feel nice? The hopelessness? The fear? The uncertainty? No, it does not. I could say many words to you on how much of a failure you are, but I am just going to show you how much of a failure you vampires are."

I then proceeded to use my telepathy to send him images of various vampires across the Omniverse, and as he saw the greatness that vampires could become and how shafted they are in this world, he stopped struggling as the life left his eyes, and I let him go.

"So this is my fate? To die like a rat in the dark? Forgotten as a side character?" I nodded and erased his memories of this conversation and then used my Longinus to cut his body and soul into pieces. But I did it slowly enough so that he felt every part of himself be cut away, and as he screamed in agony, Valerie, who had been sitting nearby, watched with not one emotion on her face.

The sight brought me a small bit of sadness as I often took care of cousins when they did not have the time, and she reminded me of them. So after disintegrating his being into nothing, I kneeled down and said softly, "Congratulations, toys are being kidnapped!"

My statement made her tilt her head in a questioning manner as I then used my human magic to analyze her being and find a way to heal her. Thankfully, Solomon's magic Crest comes with basic knowledge of soul surgery and soul healing, so I pick her up in a princess carry as she asks, "Will I be able to see the sun?"

"Yes, Valerie, you will, but I need you to close your eyes first." She then nodded and closed her eyes, completely trusting me, which was both nice and heartbreaking.

I then teleported us over the castle and saw Scathach finish up dealing with the vamps, and I said to her mentally, "Master, I have kidnapped the princess. Our work here is done. I hope you had fun."

"While it was nice to stretch these old bones, training that succubus octopus back home was more fun than this because at least she is able to dodge my moves. So what shall be done to the rest of them?" I then noticed the Carmilla faction arriving in force, notching the weakened Tepes response. I simply took out my Longinus and threw it into the center of the castle.

"I shall end their misery, so let us return. I will thank you in food." I can feel her perk up at this as she enters the portal I made for her, albeit a bit faster than normal, which brings a smile to my face. As I opened my own portal, the charged-up spear I threw then exploded, leaving a castle-sized hole in the ground in the shape of the Brotherhood symbol.

I left that symbol on the battlefield with Zeus and Ares, so they should recognize it, but it matters not.

'What is this place?" Valerie asks as she stares wide eyes at the throne, and as I sit down with her next to me, I explain.

"This is your new home, Valerie; everything the light touches is your home, and no one can hurt you here." She then turns to me and hugs me tightly.

"I hope this isn't a dream; it was so lonely there. It felt like the walls were angry at me, and Brother Marius always did things to me." I wish I had the torture longer.

"You don't have to worry about that now. All you need to worry about is enjoying life because that is your new mission." As I tell her this, she tiredly salutes me as I summon an entire house for her that faces the sun and moon each time and allows her to leave at any point.

"I'm surprised you were so gentle with her Disciple. I did not know you could handle things with such softness." I think my Master sees me as a delinquent.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, Master. For I am the master of subtlety." Her questioning gaze says more than a thousand words, and I wonder how Indra is reacting to this. Well, let him seethe and cope over his desired war against Shiva as I am going to take all his plans and flip the damn table.

"By the way, disciple, you did make sure to grab Scylla, right?" I turn away as Scathach begins to laugh while I may have forgotten about Scylla in Romania. I can already feel the beatdown I am going to get soon enough.

I may need to harem protagonist durability soon.
