54 Sniper Wars

Captain Rex and the eleven other clones made their way through the tunnels. The clones felt pretty lucky the small battle with the turrets didn't set off any alarms. The rest of the trip was relatively quiet. With only a couple small patrols here and there. Each patrol was taken out quickly and as silently as possible. At this point they wanted to keep everything under wraps.

The small group neared the exit noticing they are on the opposite side of the base from the shield generator. This slightly demoralizes the clones realizing the job just became that much harder and the risk of losing another man or men from the 300th greatly increased.

"It's too far without a distraction. We will never make it to the generator. Captain what do you think we should do."

"I'll make a distraction over there. When I do that I want the rest of you to escort Captain Titan to the generator and make sure it's finished."

"No Captain, leave it to us. You are the future of the clones, there is no need for you to die."

At this point both Jack and Lantern sprint off towards what would look to be a communications array tower. Before anyone else could argue with them. Captain Rex resigned and lead the rest slowly towards the generator before stopping to wait for the distraction to take place,

"Can't believe you volunteered us for a suicide mission what were you thinking Jack."

"Well to be honest with you I was thinking what was best for the rest of our brothers. I believe keeping Captain Rex alive is better than us." Lantern only stared towards Jack grimly before moving on.

Shortly after leaving they arrived at the vehicle depot the two scouts began setting up detonators. Luckily other than some patrols most of the droids seemed to be deactivated. They would easily dispatch them and quickly move to the next.

"Jack look! I believe that is a supply room at the back. We should take a look."

"I agree let's get inside."

They enter into the back room of the vehicle depot full of supplies. Ammo, replacement parts, anything one could think of to keep the vehicles running.

"Lantern! Detonite Barrels! We can use these and cripple the vehicles!" Walking over, placing his hand on his brother's shoulder he looks over.

"I think we have our distraction and a good one at that. Let's get going they are waiting."

Rex and the other tens clones patiently waited for them to give them the signal of starting the distraction. One of the clones was getting pretty impatient. It's been ten minutes since the scouts left to create a distraction but still nothing has happened.

"What the hell are they doing! Should we just start Captain?" Titan started to become somewhat squirmy waiting. He was the type to fight head first against multiple people and hold his own which earned him the name of Titan.

It was right about now that Jack and Lantern finished setting up the armory to explode and made their way towards the Com Array again. They kept dodging large formations of droids. To them it felt like a miracle they ran into like no resistance so far. If they didn't know better they would have believed they were walking into a trap.

As soon as they arrived at the bottom of the tower they started showing why they were considered the best scouts in the Grand Army of the Republic. They both set split and found suitable locations to begin their ambush. Getting settled in Jack told Lantern he would begin their operation. That was when three Neimoidian exited the tower. At this point only Jack could tell only one was a HVT(1).

Noticing he had a huge opportunity here Jack took this chance and pulled at HP(2) round and edited the setting on his Sonic Rifle that the Ruray made for him and Lantern. He waited for the three of them to move and line up. When they reached a position to kill he fired, killing the front most Neimoidian, however because he used the HP round it pierced right through him killing the second one also. Hearing the signal to fire, Lantern fired, killing the third one with his own Sonic Rifle.
