Master chief Ryan Bradley and Natasha Shepard backstory/prologue

Ryan's early childhood till 10 year old was great. He spent all his time hanging out with family and his childhood best friend Natasha Shepard who is 10 just like Ryan. Only he calls her Nat. Their families were all close friends. They became such when Nat and Ryan first met at at school. One day at a barbecue at the Shepards ranch slavers attacked Mindior. Hearing how close the bullets and explosions were, the families of the two push them into basement and tell them to stay there they will be back and close the door. Both families went to barricade the house and block the door but they were too late.

Batarians broke through the front door. Hearing the noise the scared kids open the door of the basement slightly just too see two Batarians just finished killing their parents. Yelling in anger and sadness Ryan's eyes and body glow blue and he biotic charges right through the Batarian that shot his parent's. Said Batarian spin and bones break killing him on the spot. Surprised and angry that a human child killed his partner the other Batarian takes aim about to fire his weapon when Natasha seeing this yells no and she also starts to glow blue and and gains a blue aura around her hand and aims it at the Batarian who yells as he is thrown into the wall braking his neck and dying. Natasha then gains a massive headache and lightly falls into the ground. Ryan seeing this runs to her and piggy back carries her back to the basement while still crying over his parents death and Nat's fainting. As they hide there for hours coming in to terms with what happened Natasha and Ryan just hugs each other wondering when it will end. After another hour the two kids leave the basement when they hear no more explosions.

Seeing all the bodies gone the look at they opened front door and see an alliance solder shocked to see them and run to them. After hearing their story he takes them to the alliance ship docked on planet. A couple days go by, Ryan and Natasha have gone through a couple of test at a research center on planet earth. Apparently Ryan is the first human Biotic that can use his at a high level with no consequences. Natasha on the other hand has strong bitoics that all implants currently used by humans wont help here so the need to develop one by the time her puberties hits so she can get her implanted. Head scientist Dr. Catherine Elizabeth Halsey has been studying these kids and started to make Natasha's future implant that in her world will be years over any other. Catherine told the kids to call her Cath and after a couple weeks of getting to know them she decides to make them her wards where she basically adopts them. Many asked her why not just adopt them for real and she responds in a cheeky tone that in many trauma cases she has seen with two kids in the future those kids usually get together now who would want to date their sister.

Ryan and Nat accept and became her wards. By the time they turned 15 Ryan asked Nat to be his girlfriends in 9th grade. She obviously accepted blushing as Cath got her credits when she told the rest of her coworkers the news. Nat also got a custom implant just for her that gives her a 10 to 15% increase of power with no side effects like L3 users. When the turned 18 both told Cath they were going to enlist in the alliance which wasn't a surprise to anyone that knew them. Cath already knew this was coming up, she has grown to love these kids as if they were her own so to give them an extra boost and to help them survive she tells them the idea she was preparing the Spartan II super soldier experiment. She tells years ago during the first contact war she made the Spartan I experiment and it tragically failed and killed everyone who tried it but seeing them and there abelites she got inspired to try again and she thinks it will work, she said the benefits but also the the high possibility of dying. Ryan and Natasha thought it over and decided to go through with the procedure the stronger they are the more chance of surviving in this galaxy.

Cath slowly nods and in the next few weeks gets in touch the alliance leaders telling them her idea. The leaders look uncomfortable trying this again especially with the death toll from last time but they believe Cath wouldn't send her own wards into this with out a higher chance plus if it works humanity has just gained a hidden card against its enemies. Now with funding Cath starts the program. After 8 months of work and comparing notes to the Spartan I the Spartan II augments were ready for the two. Going through the painful experiment Ryan and Natasha survived and changed into Spartans. They went through several test with Alliance leaders watching. With just pure body speed capable of running at 35 to 40 mph, they weigh about a half ton and can lift up to three times there body weight so more specifically Natasha can lift 3100 pounds while Ryan can lift 3300 pounds. They brought in a korgan fighter and one on one both can defeat a krogan while they wear no armor with slight bruising on the knuckles. Ryan is now 6'' while Natasha is 5.10''. (did not want them to be too tall like normal spartans.) When all tests Admiral Hackett asked if they wanted to join N7 which shocked them but they agreed. After Ryan and Natasha become Spartans the alliance immediately tell Cath to create more unfortunately none of the others survive. After her 10 attempt she shuts down the Spartan II program.

At age 20 both of them graduate N7 at the top of their classes with Ryan being number 1 since he's slightly stronger than Nat. They were put in the same platoon which confused them since alliance members who is in a relationship with each others can not work together or be on the same mission. When Natasha asked their commanding officer he smiles and said the Higher ups let you guy stay together as a reward for being the top of your class along with being experimented on as children and surviving it. As long as you are not distracted and focusing on the mission you should be fine. Happy with the result the go and meet Cath wo said she has a surprising for them at the lab. At the Lab Cath Gives them armor she calls Mjolnir Mark I power armor. (search it up if you want to see what it looks like and what it can do.) Painted black with with N7 symbol on the left chest and red and white painted on the right arm. To which both hug her and thank her for everything.

2 years later a legend is formed for humanity that reaches even the other races of the galaxy's ears. A huge band of pirates, slavers, and batarian warlords, partly funded by batarian financiers, launched an attack into the Skyllian Verge, intending to destroy Elysium. The attack was partly a batarian reprisal for humanity's expansion in the Verge, and partly the result of tensions from the Alliance's pirate suppression campaigns. The people of Elysium and the Alliance rallied to defend the colony. Small ground teams made up of Alliance Marines on leave and Elysium's civilians managed to hold off the pirates, while the Alliance Navy, engaged their vessels overhead, massacring the weaker and less-effectively trained pirate ships. The ground teams have pretty much all died except our resident Spartans. With Natasha rallying any troops left alive while Ryan already in the battle field clearing squads of Batarians. When Natasha arrives after giving orders she immediately jumps into the fray to help her man. With the left over Alliance marines barley surviving they witness what enemy's call a massacre while Humanity call it a miracle. Ryan and Natasha clearing out waves at Batarians at first it was with guns and biotics but they ran out of ammo so Natasha was biotically throwing enemy's away while pulling their weapons to her to use than started to throw singularities left and right. Ryan was sprinting through Batarian after Batarian with two omni-blades at his side throwing biotic energy slashes that literally cut through them and there shields. At one point he Biotic charges into one of them with both omni-blades going through his chest. Catching a rifle thrown at him he kills them making his way back to Natasha. Back to back they start firing biotic shockwaves. Reinforcements arrive to see almost every Batarian dead and two blood soaked Spartans standing tall not showing their exhaustion awaiting orders. There were holo vids taken and shown to leaders of every race and thus the legendary Master chief and Commander Shepard was born.

After that Battle at the age of 23 Ryan proposes to Natasha at their apartment on earth to which she cries and screams yes kissing him. They get married at 24 when they finally got shore leave. Mission after mission finally led up to now at 28 both joining an their captain and old friend Capitan Anderson on the experimental ship the Normandy.
