9 Chapter 9: Heading up

A day had passed since Max had been recovering from his injuries, he could tell because unlike his room the hospital had a wall clock which read 3:45.

His body was no long held down by restaints he was free to move.

Max had already healed his wounds, the only one that was still in the process of healing was his arm, the one that shot by Davis.

He was contemplating on a lot of things, one being if he should even talk to Bella. She had offered to him but he wasn't sure if it was a good idea.

'I could ask her to let me talk to my family...'

'Should i ask for another HUE? He was handy to have, i never really got lonely.'

'May be i should just let HUE go, he's gone now anyway...'

Another thought that kept bothering him was how Davis had mopped the floor with him. If all blues were the same then why was there such a big difference in strength between them.

'Ugh, what did i do to deserve this god?'

As a child Max had great belief in god but now over the years that belief had turned into dust.

After a while of thinking Max had given up he decided that he would go and talk to Bella, it was the only thing he could do right now.

He got up, his arm was still in a cast, and there were a few IV drips that were injected into him. He swiftly took out all the needles and looked for someone who could take him to Bella.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" The room was empty there was no one around him.

'I wonder why they left me unguarded'

He contined to walk to the metal door before he could get to the metal door. his eye caught the relection of something strange.

He immediatly looked towards his right, infront of him was a 7ft tall mirror

"W-what th-THATS ME?" Max was stunned he looked completely different, everything about him had changed

Max walked closer towards the mirror and looked at himself

He wore a green hospital gown, His eyes were still blue and his hair was a light shade of brown but that was about it, everything else had changed, His facial features looked much more refined.

He was only about a foot shorter than the mirror itself which meant he was now 6ft tall he didn't know his orginal height but he knew that he definitely wasn't 6ft tall.

His body was much more muscular now, he also seemed quite pale, it was scary how pale he looked.

'So this is what i am now huh?' He thought while touching his face, making sure it was his.

'Mom wouldn't even recognize me anymore, heh'

This wasn't what Max wanted. But he had to accept it.

After taking it all in Max finally walked towards the door. The door opened right away, it didnt even scan him.

He was in the old white hallway again, as he walked forward he tried to find his old room, but he couldn't find it, they all looked the same and it seemed as if his room had already been repaired.

"Bye HUE" Max said as he walked towards the exit door.

When he was in his white prison he always thought of how happy he would be when he left. Now that he was outside he still felt sad. Nothing had changed.

The door was guarded by two men wearing some sort of armor.

"Please state your code or badge number"

"Omega" Max simply stated

"Miss Bella has asked to see you, please, follow me."

The guard said as he walked out of the hallway, Max was a few feet behind him.

They were now in the same gray dome that Max had come in through 4 years ago. The guard didn't head to the northen door instead they headed towards the same elevator Max came down here from.

'Wait, he's taking me back up?' Max wondered his hope had been crushed so many times, but he still wanted to go back home.

They both stood on the elevator platform. Max's heart was pounding loudly, he had never thought that he would ever see the light of day again.

The guard pressed a button and the platform started to ascend.

'Alright, i can do this, i can still go home' Max prepared himself to give it his all to escape. Even though he didn't know where home was he was willing go running blindly

A hatch above the platform had started to open and bright sun light came shining down on Max, it was the first time in 4 years that he had felt the warmth of real sun light.

The platform finally stopped and Max was now outside, it was the exact same field.

Max who was ready to rush forward with everything he had was startled by a familier voice that came from behind him.

"Leaving so soon?" Bella asked

Her voice had caused Max to freeze in his tracks, he wanted to run but something inside of him wanted to listen to what she had to say

"What?" Max he didn't look back he was ready to run

"Listen, Max" she used his real name which also came as a suprise

"You can go if you want to, I or Davis won't stop you"

Upon hearing Bella's words Max was shocked. He never in a million years thought he would be allowed to leave.

"What? You'll let me leave?" Max turned around to face bella

"If you want to, yes, but hear us out Max." She pleaded, it wasn't normal for a person like Bella to plead, it was so out of character

Max walked over to bella "Well? What is it?"

"It's not me that wants to talk, its Davis" she responded

Max didn't like the sound of it, but he knew that if Davis was around, he probably wouldn't be able to runaway

"Alright..."

Bella started walking in the opposite direction and Max soon followed he was scared, but, if everything went welm he could leave.

In the distance Max could see a massive SUV a person was sitting on it's roof, the person was obviously Davis.
