15 Chapter 15: Bloodlust

Max was planning on how he was going to hide his ability from Davis, while at the same time showing him something that he could pass off as an "ability"

'I can't just say things like, I now have a talking computer in my head'

While thinking about that his mind drifted, and he began to remember how Lore had told him that Davis had sacrificed his child and wife in exchange for powers.

Max couldn't imagine anyone doing something like that, it made him sick to his stomach.

While Max was busy thinking about Davis the door suddenly slid open, revealing none other than Davis.

"Hey, kid!" Davis smiled as he walked in

The sudden message scared Max to the point where he went pale.

"What's wrong kid? Ya, look like ya saw a ghost. I ain't that old" Davis joked

"N-nothing" Max replied trying to keep his composure

'That smile was fake!? How? It looked so genuine' Max's brain had kicked into overdrive a hundred questions were racing through his mind

"Ya listening kid?" Davis asked

Unknowingly Max had entered a trance like state and had been ignoring everything Davis had said

"No sorry, my, my head is still a bit wobbly" Max held his head with both hands trying to make his excuse look as realistic as possible.

"Eh, that's normal, I guess, I dunno didn't happen to me" Davis pondered trying to remember if something similar had happened to him

"Anyways, kid what ability did ya get?" Davis asked right off the bat. His facial expressions were so normal yet Max could still see the system giving him warnings

"I, I don't really know yet, Davis," Max responded, there was no need for him to try and act confused because he was just that, confused.

"WHAT?" Davis's happy expression turned sour

"I don't know, Davis" Max tried calming Davis down

"The hell..." Davis forced his expression back to his normal carefree expression.

"Well, I mean maybe you haven't tried using it, Davis concluded

"Yeah, you're right Davis. I didn't try yet" Max let Davis stick to his own conclusions.

'The man is crazy' Max thought

"Well, Ya know you try finding out what it is"

"I will, Don't worry" Max assured Davis

Davis paused for a second, not saying a word.

"Kid let's get you introduced to everyone shall we?" Davis got up and started to head towards the door

"Uh, right, let's go" Max followed. In all honesty, Max was glad that he managed to dodge that bullet and managed to keep his powers hidden from Davis.

As they left the bedroom, Max could finally see where he would be staying. His new place was much bigger and lively when compared to his old white box.

Right now max was on the second floor of his Mansion like an apartment. The interior of his apartment was mostly made of wood and was decorated to look like a modern castle.

The floor was decorated with red and white carpets —cleaning which would be a pain— The ceiling had fancy chandeliers hanging from it. And the white walls were decorated with different paintings making them colourful.

They walked down the stairwell which was in the centre of his apartment.

Max was truly living the life of a king. Yet all of this didn't matter to him.

"Oh, by the way, Davis, you said you let me talk to my family," Max asked

"Sure kid, let's just get this over with first" Davis cheerfully replied

'Nothing this man says is true... He's been lying to me' The realization had finally hit Max, Hard in the face.

If Max didn't have the system, there would be no way he would be able to tell if Davis was lying.

The two exited Max's apartment via an elevator which was outside the main exit.

The elevator itself was the same as before.

"Hey cutie" a familiar voice seductively spoke

Max's cheeks went red, he still wasn't used to women

"Courteney, you do know that Max is still legally a minor, right?" Davis smirked

"W-what?" That was the last thing Courteney had said.

They finally arrived at their destination The elevator doors slid open and a vast room filled with the seem of metal and sweat greeted them

"Alright everyone line up" Davis declared and within a second 4 people had appeared out of nowhere

"I'd like you all to meet the newest edition of the Blues, Omega!" Davis announced with patting Max on the back

All five of them looked at omega with a piercing gaze, scanning every inch of him"

"My name is Alpha" a boy around the same height as Max greeted him, he had short blond hair, wore a tank top and was currently drenched in sweat. Apart from his blond hair nothing stood out about him, he just seemed normal.

"I'm delta" another boy with curly brown hair spoke up, his voice was very gentle and he honestly looked very feminine to Max

"In Gamma" a girl introduced herself, she too was wearing a tank top and was drenched in sweat. Much to Max's surprise she had a shaved head. Although what really stood out about her were her dark green eyes

"Sigma, it's a pleasure to meet you" Another boy with spiky red hair grabbed Max's hand and shook it up and down violently.

Everyone was exactly as tall as Max, and they all had extremely refined facial features.

Max's system didn't detect any bloodlust so that was a good thing.

[Quest: Make an ally]

[Reward: instant level up]

[Punishment: Nothing]

A sudden quest had popped up. Max found it odd how the system wanted him to make friends but it didn't bother him too much, having an ally would be helpful.

"Everyone, listen up, Max here has recently made a deal with the demon, but he doesn't exactly know what ability got"

"Could you all show him your abilities, Maybe he got something similar" Davis requested
