☯First Killing Spree☯

*Year: 3042 Day:330*

*World: Great Green Cliff: Central Continent: Southeast Region*

...

Here on the southeast region of the central continent, it is a vast green land full of countless trees that stretch out on the horizon. This region is a complete forest, home of many types of beasts and an absolute danger zone to people who don't cultivate unique energies.

Now, hundred thousands of children had been dropped off to this region for them to survive for five years while they gather or fight off for points for them to obtain great treasures by the end of the event.

...

Near the eastern border, there's a huge waterfall, just below it is a great lake connected to a wide river. From here, there are three small figures can be seen by the side of the lake.

Two boys and one blonde girl, these two boys were standing behind the girl expressing with annoyance.

"Geez, I'm soaked wet right now." The girl, apparently named Kate, complained while removing her boots.

She flipped her boots and water gushed out along with small pebbles and dirt.

Seeing this, Ray shook his head, "There's nothing we can do about it, the activation of the Rok's feather is slower than to what I've had to imagine. If we didn't land on the water, we'd be a meat paste."

Ray looked on Kate, soon, he got distracted on her wet clothes revealing her body, he stared on it for a long time.

Noticing this, Mark nudged Ray's shoulder with a frown on his face and Ray couldn't help to dryly laugh, giving a sorry look on Mark before turning around to check the surrounding.

"Whatever, we'll spend a lot of time here on the wilderness. My family has spoiled me on cleanliness and neatness, sorry guys." After cleaning her boots, she wears it again before apologising to her friends.

She stood up then looked at the two, "So what are we going to do now?" She asked.

The moon is high up on the skies, and the only light source they had is the silver moon itself, and now their cultivation is on a complete halt they were no different to an ordinary being, as such cold breeze is already affecting them.

Ray turned to look at her directly to her eyes, afraid that his eyes might draw itself to her soaked clothes.

"Although we need to find some hideout and heat, this time is a perfect moment to explore around because everyone will probably find a place to stay and protect themselves," Ray said while giving a smile, "We will split up to survey the surroundings and collect useful items that we can probably use in terms of surviving."

"That's a good plan, indeed, however, how can we assure the safety of us if we will go deep in the forest?" Mark puts his hand on his jaw as he asked.

"No, we don't need to go deep in the forest, and we will return by the time when the sunrises up here."

"Okay, got it."

"Well then, let's separate, and be careful."

...

Ray, Mark, and Kate split up and took different paths to survey and find things along the way. Although the three of them are amateurs, their combat experience cannot be compared to typical amateurs as they lived life on constant training for the future they will hold.

As such, they had an advantage in sensing the surrounding, combat, and situational analysis.

And the three believed that they don't need protection if they are dealing with a single or even three amateur youths, and the three of them trusts each other that they will return alive with a smile on their faces.

...

Ray looked around the surroundings as he slowly walks on the dark forest; he will stop for a moment to check and listen to the surrounding before moving forward.

"I need to climb a tree, a tree tall enough to see a greater view on the surrounding." Deciding to do that, he quickly found a tree that suits him then climbed up slowly with the help of growing thick vines.

He sat on the trunk of the tree, and here the cold breeze wind is strong yet refreshing at the same time.

The moon is high up on the starry sky. Thus, the tree shadows cover Ray's figure.

After looking on the surrounding, using the moss on the tree trunk, he draws a small map using his fingers. From there, he created his current location and the lake.

*Rustle*

Ray quickly stopped his action as he slowly lowered his body on the trunk almost hugging it, he then took a peek on the direction where the sound came from.

Two small figures came out from the bushes, one boy and one girl. These two weren't familiar to Ray. However, their action triggered him to the point of almost falling directly to the two fo them.

These two are clinging to each other, and the boy apparently wields a sword on his hand while the girl on his other arm had a bag filled with items.

Ray's eyes lit up after seeing this. However, he didn't take action as he watched the two below.

"Mike, I'm scared." The girl tightly hugged the boy by the neck.

"Don't worry sunshine, and I'll definitely protect you." The boy, with his third leg rising assured while giving a serious look on the eyes of the girl named sunshine.

"Oh, my dear prince, such a man. I'm afraid no man will ever be compared to you." Sunshine hugged Mike tightly even more, and the more they make physical contact, the boy excitement rose even further.

"Hehe, of course!"

Ray, had his eyes full wide open after seeing this, "Holy sh*t, this two are definitely mad. They had just got here a few hours ago, and the attachment of this two is unbelievable." he muttered in absurdness before looking at the girl... However, That girl, I smell danger from her...

The two disappeared as bushes and thick leaves have covered their figures. Ray didn't pursue the two despite they have a loot because he was sure that these two would go down the river where he and his friends will meet up. As such, he would be able to reencounter the two of them later on.

Ray sighed before scouting around once again.

*Swoosh*

A strong gale of wind blew past the entire forest, as the wind shook the trees on the surrounding, Ray's eyes caught something ahead of him.

A silver blinking light ahead of him, although it was quite far away, he could see a tiny object dangling on a tree trunk far away.

Ray focused on that direction; soon, his excitement grew.

"Finally, a loot bag and a weapon too!" He excitedly determined the location of the loot bag to his current position and calculated the time he will spend on going on that direction.

"There's enough time... I can probably get this." Ray didn't hesitate before quickly leaping down then went straight ahead to the location where he found the loot bag.

Despite the excitement, he still carefully travelled and avoid potential dangers. However, while cautiously walking forward, he heard a faint shriek rang out from the forest.

"Ahh!"

Ray quickly halted before looking in the direction where the sound came from.

"I should later investigate this..." He turned around then continued to walk carefully towards the tree where he found a loot bag, and he didn't risk to take a look where the painful shriek came from, for two reasons.

One, being gearless, whatever might had happened to that person. He will only end up getting killed next if he goes there without protection. Second, for being, why should he care its none of his business, and definitely it's not his close friends.

Ray arrived below the tree, and when he looked up, the loot bag is still dangling on the trunk.

He quickly retrieved the bag after climbing up, and he didn't climb down because he wanted to check the items first.

The loot bag is black and made out of cheap leather materials, behind it, there's a sharp short sword tucked in the loot bag.

He opened the loot bag, and what he quickly found is essential items to survive, foods, ranging from dried meat to hard bread, and necessary equipment for surviving such as flintstone, clothes and wooden bottle made out of bamboo. There are even leather bracers.

After checking the items inside the bag, Ray shook his head and sighed, "This is probably the most common loot bag, there's even no medicine inside."

Before he could go down, he wears his leather bracers and temporarily put the sword behind his back before climbing down the tree and head back towards the lake where they should meet up with Kate and Mark.

"Heh, I bet Mark will cry when he sees this!" Ray chuckled, although he doesn't doubt Mark's luck, he still hopes to see Mark's dumb reaction.

As time passed by, the moon will sink in a few hours before the sun rises.

Because he finally had a weapon, his pace went a lot quicker as danger this time is definitely not worrisome than before.

"Hey, did you see his terrified face earlier, that was wholesome!" A faint voice rang out along with laughter was quickly heard by Ray as he stopped his pace and hid behind a boulder covered in moss.

Soon, he quickly heard multiple footsteps and voices approaching his direction.

Ray took his sword out as he wields it tightly.

"Yeah, never did I expect that traitor to obtain three loot bags! He really deserved to die like that."

"Yeah man, seeing him getting stabbed somehow made me excited."

"Dude, you're just crazy. It's good to feel that it means luck and you will be a fantastic warrior in the future."

"Hahaha thanks, man, but are you sure that those three arrogant pricks dropped here?"

Hearing this, Ray's figure tightened as he carefully listened to the conversation.

"Huh? Ah, you mean those two jerks and one beauty?"

"You call that beauty? She can cut off your third leg with that gaze of hers."

"No dude, it even made me rock hard, to be honest, a crazy cold chick like her had always been my type."

"True... But those two jerks are really an eyesore... We should offer ourself to her with these loots we had obtained and say, "Our luck must be good to see a goddess here.""

"Pfft, we've already outnumbered them, we can eliminate those two one by one."

"Also, their cultivation is on a complete halt and don't have access to their cultivation to support their strength. The two of them aren't even worth sh*t to take as danger with many of us here, and if that girl really doesn't want us, we can also force her... Down." His maniac smile soon halted, when something happened.

*Swish~!*

Soon after his voice stopped a silver streak of light flew past directly towards them. These group of people are five in total and were shocked to see one of their companion been struck by silver light.

The poor fellow didn't even have a chance to utter a sound as his body dropped down with a sword impaled on his head while a puddle of blood quickly covered the ground.

The four of them stared on the dead comrade before quickly realising they were being attacked!

"W-what the!" Fear enveloped the four as they run away, although they had seen killing one person, they've never experienced being attacked!

"I-idiots, don't get separat- argh!" Seeing his comrades scattered, he shouted because he knew such action was plain stupid, but him being witty isn't allowed to survive as a broken stick stabbed his eyes when a person leapt on the boulder.

Ray was enraged when he heard the conversation earlier, and out of anger, he threw his sword towards the person who said such words on how he will force his friends to demise and even death!

After he threw the sword and saw the chance when the three people ran away leaving one person behind, he quickly leapt towards him and took a dried, broken stick on the ground and fearlessly stabbed the guy on the eye.

The guy fell on the ground while screaming in pain as blood oozes out from his eye.

Ray leapt above him and sat above his body and took a stone beside and directly smashed his head using the rock multiple times, "Die!"

After being smashed multiple times, the body twitched before getting limp. Thus two died by his hand.

However, Ray didn't stop as he took his sword that impaled the first person he killed and took the weapon of that person, another small sword.

"None of you are getting any chance to escape!" Ray's voice was deep, and his body was actually covered already with blood, even his face had blood splattered on it.

Soon, the area was filled with cries one after another. None of them escaped because of their stupidity, thinking that they had escaped, so they lowered their speed to take a rest.

...

*Thud*

Carrying a dead body on his shoulder, Ray coldly threw the bloody corpse to the ground and looked at the dead bodies.

He gathered their bodies on a single spot. Ray looked to his dirty and bloody hands before looking on the five dead bodies as he stared at them with dead cold eyes.

One died being impaled on the head, one died with his head crushed, one died with his muscles on knees severed making him unable to move and stabbed in the heart, one died with a deep neck wound on his nape, and lastly, one died with his left arm severed and a wide cut on his torso down to his chest, he apparently tried to block his sword using his own body.

Such a scene replayed to Ray's mind, and pain struck his mind.

He held his head as he muttered, "Is this the purpose of this event? To drive us insane?"

The abrupt action he had displayed earlier wouldn't usually occur if he hadn't cultivated 'Mad qi' however, he cultivated it, and a large amount had already been absorbed by him.

The normal him wouldn't take action and probably endured to listen and properly plan out before taking action.

However, his emotions swelled up and were consumed by anger. Thus the control over his mad qi affected his mind, driving him insane. He hasn't cultivated spiritual energy and now, he definitely knows how vital spiritual energy.

His actions earlier weren't his forte and disliked it.

Although he killed them ruthlessly, he still felt a little bad about it when he knew he could solve this peacefully or kill them without ruthlessness.

"My path is still a long way ahead..." Ray sighed as he shook his head and observed the dead bodies and kneeled down and started looting these guys out.

...

Oh, by the way, Ray is older than his two friends. Ray is 14 years old, while Mark and Kate are 13 years old.
