Walking onto the shore of the mysterious island, Eclipse heard the system's voice ring through his head once again. "You can rest easy as countless adventurers have thoroughly scoured the island countless times and never found any sort of living creature on the island besides the natural vegetation growing here." The system told Eclipse, alleviating his worries.

Looking around the area He saw trees around 20 feet tall with pink leaves growing everywhere on the island's shore. Countless flowers of one specific type grew on the lush fields of grass the looked almost as if they had been recently cut. The flowers had white petals inlaid with golden colored lines, forming the shape of a seven pointed star.

'System I decided on making my Abyss's entrance here, is there anything I should know about the terrain before deciding on a location?' Eclipse asked.

"At the middle of the island there is a pond with a single tree growing out at the center. Once per year this tree grows a single fruit that has amazing benefits for those that consume it." The system replied.

"I see so I should go over there and build my entrance there and take the tree for myself to reap all the benefits! Brilliant!!" Eclipse shouted in excitement as he started walking towards the center of the island.

He didn't make it far however when the system interrupted his triumphant journey. "If the host wishes to die a most painful and quick death, build your entrance there. Otherwise, if you wish to have the most optimal location, build your entrance on the far west side of the island underneath the elder plum blossom tree that grows on the cliff overlooking the lake." The system told a confused Eclipse. Stopping in his tracks, Eclipse confusedly asked the system why.

"Once a year when the fruit grows, the most powerful people from all the nations nearby will come to fight over who gets to consume the fruit. As you are now you would only be killed. On top of that you can't take the tree as for some unknown reason it can't be moved or stolen by anyone, countless have tried and failed. There are also the guardians of the tree that naturally spawn around it protecting it from those who wish to harm it or steal its fruit making it the less ideal spot to build your entrance."

"I see…" Eclipse said, pondering over the situation. "Then is there a reason to build the entrance under the elder plum blossom tree?"

"It is the further east possible point from the mythical fruit tree making it the least likely spot to be involved in the yearly slaughter. On top of that, it is a nice peaceful area with an amazing view of the lake that lots of adventurers frequent . This makes it an ideal spot to farm Abyssal Tokens so long as you can defend your abyss from the invaders." The system replied.

"Well what are we waiting for, let's go see this tourist attraction!" Eclipse shouted with a fist raised in the air walking towards the west side of the island. While making his way there, the suns finally finished setting and in their place rose 12 moons. The forest became dark from the night sky, but a faint glow that quickly spread through the forest allowed Eclipse to better see his terrain while making his trek.

Looking towards the new source of light he noticed the white and gold flowers gave off a faint glow that came from the gold colored lines. This effect made the star shaped flowers seem as if they were floating miniature golden stars lighting up the lonely forest for weary travelers.

Continuing through the forest with only the light of countless stars to guide his way, Eclipse soon reached a clearing where the plum blossom trees stopped growing creating a clearing of a few hundred feet. Soft green grass was the only thing that grew here as the clearing slowly went upwards forming a small little hill. At the top of the hill stood a single plum blossom tree different from the rest.

It stood 50 feet tall towering over all the other trees. Its pink, gold, and white leaves glowed bright luminescent colors. Glowing and sparkling dust similar to fairy dust fell from the leaves in a slow but consistent show giving the tree's surroundings a subtle pink glow. A strong scent of various fruits overpowered eclipse's senses as he walked towards the tree in a daze.

Behind the tree, the hill continued for a few more feet before ending and dropping off a short cliff 30 feet down towards the water. From atop the hill a person could look out and see the crystal surface of the frozen-like lake covered in a faint mist. The sky, covered in countless stars and auroras along with the planet's 12 moons creating a masterful piece of art.

"Beautiful." Was all Eclipse could say, but no words could do this sight justice. After going up the edge of the cliff and just looking out for a little bit at the amazing sight in a sort of trance, Eclipse started to feel better. It was as if his injuries and fatigue had all just vanished.

Looking down at his body he quickly realized that all his cuts and bruises he had from his earlier adventure were almost all gone and healing at a quick pace. "System what's going on?"

"Adventurers come here often for the amazing sights and views at night. But they also come here to rest and heal. This is because at night the elder plum blossom tree has healing properties for anyone who rests underneath its branches where the pollen from its branches fall." The system replied.

"System before I create my entrance what does an entrance usually look like? Because if it will ruin this sight then I will place the entrance at the foot of the hill so as to not ruin something so beautiful." Eclipse asked.

"For demons, their dungeon entrances usually are giant structures of grand sizes and shapes ranging from various things like villas, to castles, to caves, to other things. However, for your abyss the entrance will be similar to a rift in reality. The design will seem to be related to the look of outer space but I don't even know exactly how it will form."

"Hmmmmmm." Debating about what to do Eclipse was lost in thought for a solid few minutes. Holding his hand to his chin and tapping his foot up and down repeatedly.

"I've decided." Eclipse said walking over towards the base of the elder plum blossom tree. "I don't want to ruin the view out over the lake, but I can't give up such a prime spot over it. I mean come on, it's free real estate!" Eclipse told the system, trying to justify his actions.

"If it were me I would just place the entrance on the side of the cliff blocking the view. This way it would make adventurers want to clear the abyss even more so they can regain their beautiful view. This in turn means more tokens as a profit at the cost of a mere nighttime view." The system said in an emotionless and calculative voice.

Ignoring the system's remark, Eclipse walked up to the trunk of the tree and said two words. "Abyssal Creation."

"Please confirm that this is your desired location. Once created, the location can't be changed and removal of the entrance is only possible with the host's death." Upon the system saying this a screen appeared floating in front of Eclipse with those exact words on it. Below the text there was a green box with the word yes, and a red box with the words no.

Reaching out his hand, Eclipse clicked on the confirm button. Instantly the box disappeared. In its place a tear started to appear inside the trunk of the tree, blinding light spilling out from the crack. Slowly it started to expand in all directions until the crack in reality was shining a light that encompassed everything on the entire island.

Slowly the blinding light started to dim more and more until it was all gone. In its place stood something similar to a portal that seemed to fuse with the trunk of the elder plum blossom tree. The portal stood 8 feet tall and 3 feet wide. The portal had a black background akin to space with something that looked like a rainbow colored glowing cosmos spread across the entire portal. The sight was so beautiful it could be said to even rival the view of the night sky from the cliff under the branches of the tree.

"Congratulations on creating the entrance to your new home, the Abyss!" The system said with excitement in its voice for the first time.

"It's time." Eclipse said walking forward towards the portal. Upon reaching it he felt a vast emptiness that held endless possibilities. This feeling felt oddly comforting to him as if he was walking into his home after a long day of work and being greeted by his loving companion with a wag of her tail.

"I'm home." Eclipse said in a whispered voice like he always did whenever he saw a cute, smiling, and fuzzy orange face looking up at him when he opened the door. And with that he stepped through the portal.

What do you consider home? A place? The people who live there? The memories made there? Something else? I personally feel like there isb't one way to specifically define home... But hey thats just me and my opinion.
