9 CHAPTER 9

Sofia's POV

"What's going on here?" Alfonso's voice boomed in the room and we all froze.This can't be good.

All our heads turned to the entrance, where Alfonso stood. His dark hair was messy like he ran his hand through it several times and the locks were scattered all over. His eyes were dark and he was staring directly at me.

I heard some movement behind him and looked over his shoulder to see dark red hair and smoldering green eyes that were glaring at me. Vivian.

"Um sir. Sofia had a little accident and we were just helping -" Miguel started only to be interrupted.

"Leave us alone" he ordered his eyes not leaving mine. And I paled. considerably.

I had vowed to myself never to stay alone with that man again and I wasn't about to break that.

I stood up and was ready to defend for myself when Vivian suddenly push past Alfonso and ushered the three brothers out all the while smirking evily at me.

"What do you want " I spat as soon as all of them were out.

"Me! But nothing love. " he answered and I resisted the urge to shiver in disgust at his use of the word 'love'.

He started moving closer until he was at arms length. He pulled me to sit up roughly knowing I was hurt. Just proves what kind of a man he truly is.

His face is now a breath away from mine and that's when I get it.

Alcohol. The stench always made me wanna gag. Don't ask me why.

And God. His mouth sure did smell. What a horrible stench. I tried to warn him as the familiar feeling started in my stomach.

He just kept holding me and blabbering like a woman. Gosh didn't he brush his teeth or something.

I tried to free myself from his hold but it just caused me more pain. The increasing need to vomit was just making my face greener.

Suddenly, when he stopped blabbering and realized how green my face was, it was too late. I couldn't hold it anymore and he didn't get away in time.

I puked on him.

When I was done, he stood there frozen. Like he still didn't register what just happened. As if reading my thoughts, he asked

"What. What the hell just happened? " he stated a look of incredulity on his face.

I just puked on you. Duh.

"VIVIAN " he roared making me jump a bit.

Soon enough, the woman came running in and I'd lie if I say I wasn't disappointed when Aar- I mean when the three brothers weren't with her. I mean they all helped me right.

Yeah. Keep telling yourself that.

Ignoring the voice in the back of my head, I made a mental note to thank them later.

As my mind wandered back here, I noticed Vivian glaring swords and daggers at me then pulling a still stunned Alfonso and moving away silently.

Hmm. Is that woman bipolar or something. I thought she'll launch at me but I'm not complaining.

As soon as they're out, the three brothers enter. Upon noticing my situation, they scowl immediately. Well, except for Aaron who is wearing a smirk that made my insides swirl.

Why does everything this man does make me feel..... weird.

After taking a bath and cleaning myself, I went to work. Aaron had given me some medicine and it worked like a miracle.

I feel like nothing happened.

But seriously, I wouldn't blame them if they thought I was a weirdo. Like seriously, who the hell has a car accident at his job site.

You. duh. The annoying little voice in my head says.

Wait a minute. Car accident. Car, car, car. Oh my God. Diego's car, his baby. His Rebla (which I think is a really weird name but that's besides the point).

I practically ran to the car or I think I did.

To my surprise, the car was beaming when I arrived. Not even a single scratch. On the contrary, it looked like it was just bought.

O-okaaay. That's not weird at all. In fact I should be glad.

I returned to work and did my daily routine.

As the day ended, I sighed in relief and walked back to my car until I remembered I was yet to thank the three brothers.

As I neared them, I saw they were getting into their pickup too.

I smiled and walked over to them.

"Thank you guys for saving my life. "

I said and they gave me toothy grins. One in particular making my insides swirl.

"And so, I decided to invite you all this Saturday to our restaurant. Its an offer from the house."

Aaron's expression became immediately serious and he was about to say something when his brother beat him to it

" We'll be glad to. " Miguel announced making my smile widen and his brothers glaring daggers at him.

I bid them good night and rushed to my car, then back home.

As soon as I opened the door, I announce,

"Mom, we have guests this Saturday "

Diego's POV

I didn't wait for her reaction as my mouth descended on hers with an earth shattering kiss.

Sweet, so so sweet. Her lips reminded me of peaches.

I love peaches.

When we both began to feel the need of oxygen again, we pulled away.

I stared

She smirked.

Wait. Smirked?

She pulled away, still smirking and went round her table swaying her tempting hips seductively while I was left dumbfounded.

Is she bipolar or something. Wasn't she yelling at me some few moments ago.

I quickly pulled on my shirt and went to sit infront of her, my smirk now mirroring hers.

She hands me a piece of paper with a card.

I realized it was hers. It was written

Veronica De la Cruz.

Wait a minute. De la Cruz. As in De la Cruz.

No as in Dominguez you moron. My Inner voice said.

The woman who made my family suffer.

I smiled at her then said. "I'll pick you up on Saturday, 6pm" I stated as her address was on the card.

I spotted an evil smirk as I walked out of her office.

Time for some revenge.
