5 CHAPTER 5

"I have meant to tell you this since

the first time I landed my eye on you. I like you very much Sofia and I want you to become my girlfriend. " he said straight with no emotion in his eyes or whatsoever.

I on the other hand was having a heart attack.

What the hell. Do all men usually sleep with girls before asking other girls out?

I came to one conclusion. He is a playboy.

So I said what any sane person would say.

"No sir. No. I can never be your girlfriend. "

He looked at me like I had grown two heads. Then he chuckled.

"Tsk, tsk. Sofia. You know I always get what I want. By hook or by crook"

All my senses suddenly hightened. What did he mean by that?

"Um. Sir. Are you threatening me? "

He smirked.

"Absolutely not Sofia. Just saying I'll do everything to have you as mine. " he said emphasizing on everything.

OK. This man is officially a creep. Either that or he doesn't know how to talk to women.

"Okaaaay... I'll be going now. " I said not wanting to continue that conversation.

"Wait. I'm not finished yet. " he said in his most authoritative voice.

Oh no. Why me...

When I turned around, everything happened in the blink of an eye.

He kissed me. Mr Alfonso Guttierez the man that repulses me the most but is every other young girl's dream man freaking kissed me.

Anna's POV

I was so sad leaving my family. But it was necessary.

This is a one in a life time opportunity. I mean, I got so lucky to be offered this one year internship in the biggest bank in the world.

And as if it wasn't sufficient, we get paid at the end of the internship.

I stopped my reverie when I felt something wet on my shoulder. I turned and noticed with utter horror that it was because the old woman sitting to my right was drooling on me in her sleep. Oh no. Now I got drool all over my shirt.

I looked over to Daniella on the other side who was happily playing candy crush on her phone while listening music. Hmph.

Actually we were in a commercial plane and it was three seater per row on each colon.

One hour later, we landed at the Houston International Airport. We got out and hired a cab directly to the employee hotel.

Yes. You heard it well. Employees who aren't married yet or who don't have a family to take care of here, live in the hotel which is fully paid.

See. What could possibly go wrong. I got so lucky right. I can send money to my family and take care of Dani.

I just couldn't stop grinning. I mean. What could possibly go wrong?

We got out of the cab and thanked the driver and soon enough we were on our way to the hotel.

When, I entered, I was greeted with the sight of gorgeous decorations. The beige yellow colours of the walls matched the blood red carpet. A beautiful diamond chandelier hung above, illuminating the entrance hall brightly.

I stopped my reverie when I saw that the receptionist was looking weirdly at me.

When I gave her a questioning look, she exchanged amused glances with Daniella who was standing behind me.

"Anna dreamer, the miss here has been calling you for like two minutes, but seems you were too busy staring at the wall"

I glared at her for calling me 'Anna dreamer'. She always had this attitude of adding extermely characteristic suffixes on people's names. But my cheeks immediately heated up when I realized I didn't hear the receptionist calling me

"Um sorry miss... " I asked.

"Rose" the receptionist said.

"I kinda didn't hear you. Please would you mind repeating. "

She smiled. A genuine smile that was inevitably contagious and that had me showing my 42-10.

"I asked the reason for your presence. "

"Ah yes. Um. Actually I got a one year internship in this company and I was told I was to stay here.... "

"Hmm. Let me check. Which faculty?"

"Management "

"Oh. Anna Dolores Locke right? and you requested to live with miss Rosa Daniella Dominguez "

"Yep".

"Okay. Just give me your IDs " we gave her our IDs then she gave them back to us and handed us keys.

"Room 340. Its the last before the penthouse. " she said giving me a pitiful look.

Hmm. What difference does that make? She wasted no time in explaining herself.

"Look. The boss sometimes comes over during the weekend and setting aside the fact that he's super super super hot, he has the temper of Tiger. "

I rose my brow questioningly?. Tiger? Who's Tiger?

She groaned in frustration when she saw my questioning look.

"Tiger. You know, Juliet Capulet's cousin in the play Romeo and Juliet. "

"Ahh. You mean Tybalt? " Dani said from behind me.

Rose's cheeks reddened immediately.

"Umm, Yeah. Umm- welcome to the hotel and enjoy your stay" she said and smiled suddenly.

I smiled back. "Thanks Rose".

As we walked, I snickered when I heard Dani saying she'll start calling her 'Rose Tiger'.

And just like that, I went up to my room like I owned the world. But little did I know...

"Wow. Just wow. Um. Anna are you sure this is our room. You know, we could still go and ask Rose..."

"Dani. Dani. This is our room okay. Stop acting like a freak . "

I understand why she's not so convinced. Infact, I wasn't really convinced too when we came in here at first but I had to call Rose twice.

Actually, now we just finished unpacking our bags and I was getting some food ready for dinner while Dani was trying to video call our family back there in Mexico.

I had just finished setting the table when Dani called me from the living room telling me that the whole family was already connected. We chatted for a while then said our goodbyes and went to eat.

Tomorrow I'm going to the mall with Dani to buy office clothes. I sighed. This is going to be great.
