Recap

"The boss wants to meet you" the bartender told me.

"Well, tell golden boy I don't wanna meet him" I said turning to look at the golden boy again.

The guy sent me a smile to which I just rolled my eyes, took my glass from the bartender and gulped it away, never turning back to look at golden boy.

I took one more shot after that then opened my phone to browse. I couldn't afford to be drunk tonight because I was driving us home.

Suddenly, the until the unimaginable happened.

A picture of Mai and Gina unconscious and bound with ropes popped up on my screen.

You know, I've felt fear in my life, but the kind of fear I felt when I read the adjoining message was a whole new level.

Come alone behind the house, or your little friends shall never ever be seeing the sunrise again. You have 10minutes.

Your golden boy.

I was paralysed, frozen in fear and disbelief. I slowly turned to look at the golden boy who was smirking at me from his throne at the top.

What the?

Another notification popped up.

You have 8 minutes

But... but, HOW? He was looking at me the whole time, he can't possibly be the one.

This must be a nightmare.

Seven minutes.

There's no time to waste. I quickly ran to the hallway and to the kitchen of course not without bumping into a good number of people making out, then to the backyard.

It was dark there and I couldn't see a thing, so I decided to on my light torch before walking around.

Suddenly, I felt like I was being watched and I stopped in my tracks.

"You can come out of your hiding place now" I said in a cold voice, my Indian accent thick.

The person I saw coming was the last person I ever expected to see, and I mean the last.

Nikolai Barnes, a creepy perverted nerd who got kicked out of school after several reports about him on sexual harassment and being caught red handed spying on the girls' dressing room with the school computer.

Guess who had caught him?

Ding ding ding. You got that right.

Me.

That was two years ago.

And the look in his eyes and something in my heart told me that he was here for payback and that this wasn't gonna be ending very well for me.

"Nick?" I said very surprised to see him here.

"Well, hello there, Kritika" Kritika was my middle name, and despite the number of times I told him not to call me that because I kinda don't really like the name, he insisted just to annoy me.

"W-what are you doing here? Where is the golden boy?" I asked in cursing myself for my shaky voice.

He smirked in response, a sinister smirk which I would have found extremely attractive because hey, time did him favour. He was extremely hot and much more handsome with a well built physique and a beautifully chiseled face, his hair was tied in a man bun and his skin was a beautiful tan, as compared to two years ago when he wore braces and nerdy glasses with horrible pimples all over his face and messy sandy blonde hair with red irritated skin.

The only reason I recognized him immediately, was because of his striking purple eyes. You heard me well, purple eyes.

Suddenly, my heart beat accelerated.

What the hell?

"You are thirty seconds late, Kritika" he said in a deep voice that sent shivers down my spine.

I suddenly regained my senses.

"What the hell? Where are my friends? What do you mean, thirty seconds late? What are you even doing here?" I yelled getting closer to him with each step until we were only a few feet apart.

Suddenly, he took me by the waist and closed the distance between us taking me by surprise.

"That's too many questions" he whispered in my ears making a delicious shiver run down my spine.

"Where,- h-how is , w-where are Mai and Gina?" I said as my brain was suddenly turned off.

"Sorry. You were late" , he whispered.

Then I heard it. The horrible sound that made my heart shatter. It was an explosion, and something told me it had something to do with my car. The sound of panicky voices shouting slowly faded into the background.

"NOOOO!!!!" I shouted as I quickly ran towards it, more like tried to but Nick was holding me captive.

"NO, LET ME GO!!!" I shouted frantically, shaking with all my might but Nick was much more stronger than me.

"Shhh, I warned you to come on time but you didn't. Sorry babe, but your friends won't be seeing the sunrise tomorrow after all." he said and suddenly, I felt a sting in my neck and my whole body became heavy all of a sudden.

I fell to the floor as my legs couldn't stand my weight any more and Nick gently placed me on the floor in a sitting position. I heard a faint sound of my phone notification and the image that popped up will surely be impregnated in my mind forever.

It was two carcinated bodies, I tried to reassure myself that it wasn't them, that this wasn't real, but the friendship braces we got was very present on both their arms.

"No, no, no, NO, NO, NOOOOOOOOO" I shouted as shook my head in disbelief as my voice grew louder.

"Shhh, babe, don't cry " Nicolai said as he squatted behind me taking me in a hug.

"No" I said, trying to get out of his grip but I was too weak.

I had to call the police.

"Nick?" I said when I had finally calmed down.

"Can you please leave me alone for a minute?" I said even though a part of me didn't want to leave his warm embrace.

TRAITOR BODY!!! HE KILLED OUR FRIENDS!!!! my brain shouted

I turned to look him in the eye and he smirked and gave me some distance. He knew I couldn't run away even if I was given a chance.

I smiled and turned to my phone with a blank look making as if I was mourning over my friends' loss.

I dialed the police but the voice that came out certainly wasn't that of a police officer.

"Tsk, tsk. Bad, bad girl. You will be punished but first let's take you home."

Before I could understand what he meant by that, everything went blank...

And then I woke up in that underground wh*re house.

Present day

"And that's what happened." Lavanya said finally letting out the tears she's been holding.

"Awww, my girl, Maria said taking the girl into her warm embrace."

Sofia was dumbfounded. She did know the girl was in a wh*re house but never in a million years could she imagine such a sad story.

She was broke out of her trance when suddenly, Lava fainted.

Panicked, Diego carried her to her room, while Ember rushed into the kitchen to make her a strong traditional tisane with strong healing properties. The old even said it could heal emotional pain.

"Wow" Daniella whispered dumbfounded, through the video call while Anna was at her 6th napkin, and the tears kept coming.

Sofia then and there swore to find the person who did this and to make him pay, she smiled knowing Aaron will definitely help her once he knew the whole story as she had only told him the part where there was a wh*re house somewhere in the ranch.

Unknown POV

"ONE MONTH!!! ONE FUCKING MONTH AND YOU STILL HAVEN'T FOUND HER." I shouted as I was so enraged with these useless people.

Couldn't they find a single woman? ONE FUCKING WOMAN

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

"WHAT?" I shouted. I had specifically asked no one disturb me.

The door suddenly opened and I was ready to annihilate whosoever was at the other side of the door when suddenly Alfonso, one of my most trusted friends walked in.

"Well, hello there, is that a way to welcome your friend?" He said smirking.

"What do you want?" I sneered not really in the mood for his sarcastic taunts.

He smirked knowingly before saying the most pleasant sentence I had listened to this month.

"I know where your cookie is"
