15 CHAPTER 15
Anna stared nervously at the door, probably waiting for her boss to waltz in any time and finally fire her.
Her heart almost stopped when the door opened but rapidly regained it's pace when Daniella came in smiling like a cheshire cat.
"Hey sis how-" Daniella stopped mid sentence as she stared at Anna's extremely red lips meaning she had been biting them due to anxiousness.
"Hmmm" she said putting her finger on her chin to fake a thoughtful expression while moving closer to where her sister was nervously sitting and fidgeting with her fingers while staring at the door.... like she has been for the past two weeks.
"So, Anna dreamer, tell me what's happening to you these days, I really wish to know the reason for your nervousness "
"Its noth-"
"If you say that word one more time... I'm taking you... on a shopping spree "
Daniella threatened and all the colour drained from Anna's face.
"Okay,Okay" Anna said partly not wanting to carry the burden anymore and mostly not wanting to be dragged in for a shopping spree.
So she told Daniella everything about the encounter with the boss and by the end Daniella's mouth was hanging open, so wide a fly could easily come an cozy there.
She suddenly squealed so loud that Anna didn't have time to block her ears to prevent the obnoxious sound.
Daniella then hugged her sister really. tight, squeezing air out of her.
"OMG. Do you know that that means?" Daniella asked holding her sister's face in her hands.
"That I'm getting fired?" Anna replied quietly.
Dani rolled her eyes.
"No. That he's attracted to you "
Anna stared at her sister's face dumbstruck then suddenly burst out laughing.
"Wow. Dani, you really have a gift to lift up people's moods." she said still laughing but stopped when she stared at her sister's serious face.
"You're not kidding?" Anna asked dumbstruck.
"Do I look like I'm kidding?" Dani deadpanned.
"Anna. That man likes you and by the looks of it, you like him too "
"Tch... stop making stupid assumptions Daniella. You know it will never be possible anyway"
"Aaaah, so you like him " Daniella said wiggling her brows suggestively.
Anna just shot her a disapproving look.
"Tell me Anna-" she said cupping her sister's face in the hands.
"Do you like your boss?"
"Yes" Anna whispered but it didn't escape the ears of the person standing at the door whose voice boomed in the hall seconds later.
"Ah, so you like me."
(Anna's POV)
Someone kill me now.

Sofia's POV
I'm the happiest woman on earth.
Aaron and I had gone to the reserve park for sight seeing and then we went for a rodeo and right now we're at the beach.
I'm on a horse while Aaron walks holding the ropes of its saddle.
When the test results of the food and water came out, there were trace amounts of a toxic substance which enhanced the functionality of the reproductive system to the detriment of the rest of the body.
Surprisingly, when I told Alfonso about it, he just shrugged it off as if it was no big deal.
I thought of telling the police about it but Aaron talked me out of it. I remember being angry about it and I blushed also remembering the heated make out session that followed.
I beckoned at him to stop and I got down the horse standing to face him in the eye.
"I love you Aaron." He looked startled by my sudden confession.
I know it was out of the blue and I only just realised it when he almost died today trying to ride a wild bull and almost fell off the bull. My heart stopped beating for a moment.
I know it's only been one month but I decided I was going to tell him because life is too short, something I realised when I lost dad.
Suddenly, I was engulfed in a toe-curling kiss.
"Sofia, you can't imagine the joy I feel hearing you say that. Sometimes, I'm under the impression I'm breaking my rules by being here with you but all that went out the window a long time ago." He said taking a pause.
"I can't live without you anymore, Sofia " He said staring at me in the eye.
I initiated the kiss this time.
"Take me Aaron" I whispered in his ears.
"Make me yours."
He tensed visibly.
"Sofia, there'll be no turning back "
"I know" I said breaking the kiss to look at him in the eye.
"I want to become yours" I said and he smiled.
And that is how that night, under the bright moon and the roaring sea, we made love.
But little did I know that shit was about to go down.

Irina battered furiously the paste putting in all her energy, like she did when she was upset.
Her moms entered the kitchen and gasped loudly at the huge mountains of cakes in there. They hadn't received any huge command as such so there could only be one other explanation.
Irina was very angry, so they quietly moved out of the kitchen.
When her fit was over, Irina calmed down and looked at what had come out of her cooking rampage.
Two hundred cupcakes. Good. The children at the orphanage will be more than happy to have extra desserts.
Just as she was about to clean up, the reason for her anger showed up.
"You ditched me again" he said his voice sounding strained like he had been crying.
She felt a tad bit guilty but then it wiped away when she remembered the day she was almost rap*d.
She remember the next day he had come reprimanded her for her reckless attitude and then kissed her without her permission and asked her to be his girlfriend.
She accepted in a moment of haze and even accepted to go out with him.
But once his overwhelming presence was gone, she came back to her senses and her anger returned with full force, both directed towards her traitorous body and towards Miguel.
"I never accepted to go out with you" she said raising her head arrogantly like she usually did.
"Yes you did" he said harshly coming to stand right infront of her, his eyes bloodshot red making him look scary.
"No, I didn't. You tried to seduce me into it. I'm never going out with you, okay" She said glaring at him and then looking away unable to hold his gaze.
"Okay" His response startled her as she half-expected him to insist.
Why? To satisfy your sick ego?
Her annoying inner-self stepped in.
"Okay?" The question slipped out of her mouth on its own accord.
"So, you're giving up on me already?, just like that?"
"Just like how Irina? Do you want me to do magic?" He said in exasperation.
"N-no. I-I just thought you'll insist a little more, that's all" Irina said fidgeting with her fingers.
Miguel broke into a smile and moved to capture her mouth in a toe-curling kiss.
Lavanya entered the kitchen and almost fell over at the sight of Irina and Miguel kissing.
She quietly placed the groceries on the counter and moved out.
In the month she's been here, she learned to trust these people. The makeup transformation done on her was incredible.
She really looked different with red hair and blue eyes and the way her curves were enhanced due to the weight she put on.
She was unrecognizable the way she was but still scared out of her mind to go anywhere out of the house.
Though she already has an identity card and a passport with her new name on it.
Miranda Sally Locke.
The kind Ms. Amber she had learned to trust as her own mother had given her a new home and she couldn't be more glad.
Tonight, she'll tell everyone her story.
She thought as she went to her room prepare for dinner.
