11 CHAPTER 11

"Where is he?" Veronica thought as she looked around the empty underground parking lot of her apartment building.

Cling cling

She heard a sound coming from behind the pillar and her anxiousness grew.

What was that?

Suddenly, her mouth was clamped shut and the only thing she remembered were those familiar green orbs staring down at her before she surrendered to the darkness.

"ARGH" Veronica groaned as she sat up quickly flailing her arms around as someone had thrown water on her. She heard a deep chuckle and turned to see Diego staring back at her with a hint of amusement in his eyes.

Then it all came back crashing in her head with full force, together with a slight headache.

Diego had kidnapped her.

"What is this! are you crazy, what are we doing here." Veronica said looking around the small wooden cabin.

Diego didn't say anything but just got up from where he was sitting and went outside to what looked like a balcony.

"Wait. I'm not done yet-" Veronica's words got caught in her throat as she caught sight of the simple but yet beautiful dinner he had set up for them.

Y-you did this for me? "

He gave her a goofy smile.

"Nope. I did it for us" He said emphasizing on us.

"My lady" he said pulling the chair out for her and she sat down with a flushed and completely stunned face.

"What is it. You don't like it? " Diego asked with a slight frown and Veronica's eyes widened.

"N-no, no. Its just-, this. I- you. No one ever did this" she said looking around the place, and definitely not by kidnapping me.

"What? You thought I'll take you to a fancy restaurant with expensive menu. Is that really what you want?" Diego asked through gritted teeth.

Veronica's eyes widened. "N-no no that's not what I meant. I mean. This is the first time someone thought of setting up a dinner for us. Its so special to me and I love it. "

Diego's expression softened as he looked at her.

"Wine? " he asked with a smile and Veronica nodded, returning his smile.

"What am I getting myself into? " Diego thought as he stared at the beauty in front of him.

Could I ever hurt her?

Sofia gasped when she heard what he said and looked at his eyes, searching for any hint of lies or dishonesty.

"Y-you like me? " she asked still baffled as she never in a million years would have imagined that this man, whom she dreamt about since the day she first met him actually likes her back.

Hesitation appeared in Aaron's eyes as he wasn't so sure it was a good idea to tell her yet. He wasn't sure talking to her was a good idea alltogether. He was caught in the heat of the moment and it just slipped his mouth.

But damn! Never in a million years could he ever regret that kiss.

The taste of those lips were surely imprinted on his forever.

"Sofia. Sorry, I shouldn't -" he didn't have th chance to finish as he felt her soft addictive lips again.

"I like you too" she blurted and Aaron smiled.

He had never stopped thinking about this woman since he met her.

I'll just bed her and then surely get over it.

He thought as he smiled at her, a smile which she mirrored as she put his arms around his waist and he put a hand round her shoulder as they went for a walk.

WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! Anna thought as she stared into the dark eyes of her boss.

Suddenly, he smirked.

This seemed to break her out if her trance as she gathered all her forces and pushed him off her.

This smirk seemed to tick her off as it was mocking. How dare he mock her like that, she thought as she glared at him.

"Sorry babe, I needed a stress reliever, and those lips of yours seem to be working quite well" he stated still smirking and that was the last straw.

She slapped him.

"HOW DARE YOU?!! " She roared as she glared back at him in pure rage.

Stress reliever?!!

He didn't see that coming as he held his jaw.

However, Anna regreted what she did, when he stared back at her with amused eyes.

Hmm?!!. Amused? How can he be amused after that?!!

Suddenly, he laughed. It wasn't the ordinary joyful laugh. No. It was a humorless and cold laugh that gave Anna chills.

Oh no. What had she done?!!

His next words made the world stop rotating around her.

"You're fired" he stated and left the room with a smile still plastered on his lips.

Sofia had never been so happy to get up in the morning to go to work.

Last night had been the best in her life, after what happened.

She had talked with Aaron and in that moment, she felt like she knew him for a very long time.

"Wow! What is that smile? It's not everyday we see that" Irina asked as she flipped the last pancake in her pan.

"You know you can tell me everything" Irina whispered as she sat on one of the kitchen stools next to Sofia, wriggling her brows.

"I'll tell you at the right moment", Sofia whispered back as she didn't want to give herself any false hope.

After all, things were still dangling on a thin thread with Aaron.

"Hmmm" Diego said as he entered the kitchen with a big smile plastered on his face.

"Okaaaay" Irina stated looking continuously between the the two as the situation was actually becoming creepy. This two that almost never smiled were smiling today.

After they finished their breakfast, they went to work.

As she reached the stables, her mouth was suddenly muffled from behind and she was taken to a dark room, which she noticed was one of the old unused stables.

When the hand was removed from her mouth, she shouted with all her might.

"HELP, HELP".

"SHUT UP. Nobody will hear your voice from here. " Alfonso stated as he smirked evily. He placed one of his most trusted men so one one will disturb them while they were talking.

Sofia's eyes widened in fear as she crawled up on the wall wishing it could swallow her.

Suddenly, he was pressed up against her and groaning.

"Hmm. I've been waiting for this for so long. Don't you too, my love." he stated as he started unbuckling his belt. Sofia could smell the alcohol in his breath as a familiar feeling started in the pit of her stomach.

"NO. PLEASE HELP. NO-" She shouted as Alfonso slapped her, and this time, she could taste blood.

Tears streamed down her eyes due to the burn but Alfonso didn't seem to care as he continued his assault.

Suddenly, Alfonso went limp on her as she pushed his body off her and stared at the frame of the person who saved her life.

She was petite around 18years old with dark brown hair and chocolate brown skin.

"Thank you" Sofia said as she hugged the girl.

"You're welcome" the girl said and Sofia noticed her Indian accent.

"Arghh. " Alfonso groaned as he tried standing up but Sofia kicked him where the sun doesn't shine, which had him falling back on his knee.

But she didn't stop there.

"This is for taking my first kiss" she said kicking him in the stomach

"This is for trying to ra** me", she said kicking his thigh

"And this, is for even existing" she said kicking his face, making him go in an unconscious state.

"Let's get outta here" Sofia stated as she took the girl's arm and they walked out.
