7 Chapter Six: What?!

(Peter POV)

"You have a tail? What are you, some kind of siren?" I started backing up towards the door. My heart was racing. How could I let such a creature in my home? Or go on a date with her?!

"No, I'm a mermaid. Sirens are bird ladies that live on beaches, not in the ocean. And I don't eat people." She states with a smile as if this was normal. Well... I guess it was for her.

I backed up more and finally I felt the door frame. "Just let me have some time to think about this- I just- I need time."

I ran out the door, hearing her scream after me and water sloshing as if she were trying to get up.

(Camille POV)

I knew I shouldn't have told him. We were always supposed to keep it a secret. I crawled out of the tub and waited to dry off.

I watched my tail morph into legs and emptied the tub, Then walked to the bedroom to gather my things. "Oh, I should probably call my brother....and tell him I'm coming home".

I grabbed the phone and dialed the number. It picked up on the first ring and my brother's voice came through. It was like he was waiting by the phone....he probably was.

"Sister, are you alright? Are you hurt? Do you need help? What's wrong?"

"Hang on, calm down. I'm okay. I just.. I want to come home.... he knows about me and freaked out. He ran away."

My brother sighed and told me he'd make sure my room was ready.  I walked out and went to the beach, sad that I was leaving such happy memories behind.
