7 Chapter 5

Ara should stop thinking about that.

"You will never find your soulmate."

Ara.

"Never find your soulmate."

Ara, stop.

"You don't deserve a soulmate."

Ara!

Ara snaps out from her thoughts and froze for a second. When she realises what happened, her slightly widened eyes return back to normal but looking lifeless. Ara shakes her head, as if with the action, she could throw those memories away from her head.

Thanks.

Ara continues eating her food in peace, but she could not quite enjoy it like usual. The flashes of images in her mind are mix and jumble, somehow similar to those zombies she saw in television when they sense a human.

All of the images race to the front of her mind when the wall she laboriously build around her mind started to wobble.

She frowns disturbingly.

She shakes her head slightly, wishing those images to fly away as she continue to devor her meal like a body without soul.Blankly.

After finally she finished her lunch, she instantly get out of the cafe to go home after leaving some money on her table.

Buzz.

Something vibrates in her jeans pocket capture her attention. She rummages through her black backpack to find out that her brother is calling her. With elegance swiftness, she pulls her phone out and swipes to the green button, putting it near her ear.

She stays silent, waiting for the party on the other line to speak first like usual.

"Hello,Ara?"

Her brother's normally rich voice speaks up.

"Hmm."

"Have your classes done? I'm in front of your uni. Hurry up."

With that, she hung up. And carry on with her lone and boring walk.

__________

"Why were sticking your note on my forehead while sleeping again?" Those rich voice greet her the moment she climb the white Lamborghini car. "Couldn't you just stick it on the fridge or table or something?"

Ara turn her head to look at her big brother who is frowning with his mouth turn downwards, waiting for the answer to his question while resting his veiny, muscular arm on the car wheel. But then the unsatisfied expression turn into a concern one as his eyes roam over her face in worry, as if searching for something he dread to found on her.

Ara let out a tiny breath. Her brother always being the first person to notice when something amiss with her.

She gives a look to her brother, to which he understands instantly that there was nothing to worry about, as he nods once and turns his head to the front to drive home.

"Don't stick notes on my forehead again."

Ara raises a brow.

"You wouldn't see it if I stick on somewhere else. Remember two weeks ago I had to wait till night for you?" she glances sideways to her brother. "I won't experience that again."

He chuckles sheepishly, sounding awkward and maybe a little guilty.

He was tired that day that he fell asleep straight after returned from work, and that so soundly too that Ara have to find a cab to take her home.

A brother he is.

"I was tired."

Ara simply hums, resting her head against the window on her side as she closes her eyes, trying to find some peace in her mind. The silent atmosphere in the car is what something she loves having from time to time. She feels calm and sleepy, considering she usually don't get much sleep at night.

"Is Varo home?" She asked, eyes still close.

"Nope. At his friend's. On the way to pick him up now."

Immediately, the car pulled to a stop in front of a ranch style house, the color of the woods look a little damaged, a sign of the years since it was built. The brown door open as come running a purple head little boy with his small dark blue backpack on his back. He grins, a flash of white teeth.

He quickly pulls open the car door in the front, struggling with the weight. Maybe he didn't see Ara in the front.

She opens the door for him, too soft-hearted for her little brother to let him to continue struggling alone. Even though the sight is cute.

When Alvaro saw her sister in the car, his whole face brighten as his cute, small but plump lips stretch into a wider grin. Seeing the sight, Ara shot him her much gentler one.

"Ara!!"

"Hey."

He jumps into her arms and peck her cheek noisily. "Miss you!"

"Miss you too." She kisses his unresistable chubby cheek. "Let's go home." She pulls him to sit properly on her lap.

Alvaro loves to sit on his sister's lap whenever they are in the car. And because he don't have a mother to experience sitting on her lap, Ara tries her hard to give him as much love as a mother could give to her son even though she knows she could never replace a mother in their son's heart. Including Alvaro.

"Uh huh." He nods cutely.

It takes near half an hour to drive home. Along the way, Alvaro has already fallen asleep with his head resting on her chest and his arms around her neck. If anyone see this scene, they will squeal excitedly because of how cute it is, especially girls.

When they arrive, Ara climbs out of the car with Alvaro in her arms. But in the process to get out of the car, Ara accidentally knock her forehead against the car door, leaving the spot to swell.

Ara groans, rubbing her forehead with one hand while the other supporting her slepping brother.

Alaric who saw the small incident, winces with her in response to her pain.

Sigh, she really is a clumsy one.

"Give me Aro. I'll take him to his room."

She obediently passes her brother to him as she continues rubbing the bruise on her forehead.

She sighs. "What luck."

__________

The natural red headed guy brings his hand to the new bruise forming on his forehead as his mesmerising forest green eyes scan the damage seriously. His eyebrows twitch in worry as he tilts his face here and there to look at the bruise from different angles in the mirror.

The action alone can makes women, even men swoon. Literally.

"Did she run into doors again?"

Absentmindedly, his lips move upwards a little to carve into a charming smile as he looks down to the floor.

He shakes his head.

"Tch.Silly."
