1 Ch.1 Sweet Morning
The cold breeze hit against Jieun's cheeks as she walked down the path to her school. It was early in the morning and it was quiet with only the leaves rustling. Drinking out of her mug, she reached the gates of the school. Laughter could be heard from a distance catching Jieun's attention. "Jinnie! You're here~ come on, let's go to our spot." Sunny exclaimed dragging the girl along.
"Why must you be so loud?" Jieun asked and pouted earning a chuckle from Sunny. "Lighten up Jieun!" Sunny said to her. "Easy for you to say. You've already found your soulmate. My eyes are still gray." Jieun explained and frowned. Sunny pressed her lips making a thin line as she thought. "My eyes are only blue. There are sooooo many other people who have different eye colours. Remember that one girl in our class? She has orange eyes!" Sunny told her.
Before they could set foot into their cozy spot, the bell rang making both teens groan. They did their normal routine; sit down, take notes and then eat. It was normal that everyone had ash grey eyes. That was how everyone lived and Jieun was one of the gloomy ordinary person. She never invested herself in looking for a soulmate but yet she was jealous. Jealousy, sadness, anger, fear, boredom and arrogance are the emotions that the 'ordinary' people feel.
People who do find their soulmates like Sunny find the other emotions such as happiness and their eyes are coloured with a beautiful colour. A sigh escaped Jieun's lips as she closed her book. Packing up her things she stood up and left for break. "Guess what?" "AH! YOU SCARED ME!" Jieun shouted. Sunny rolled her eyes "Girl, are you serious? Come on let's go to Sushi roll! I heard that their sushi's are 50% off today." Sunny said and they both walked out of the school gates.
"Is that Kang Jieun? Ooh~ look at her pretty outfit." Someone mumbled from afar. Jieun rolled her eyes as she hears clicks of their phones. "She's so pretty." Another one whispered. Everyone admired her as they walked over to the restaurant. She wasn't popular but sisters with the popular girl Kang Sooji. "Look! Kang Jieun is here! Wow, so pretty~ the beauty runs in their veins." Jieun became more irritated.
"Hurry up Sunny. My patience is running out." She blurted and leaned on the counter. "Okay! Okay!" Sunny said and quickly ordered what they both wanted. Once they received their meal, Jieun grabbed Sunny's hand and sped out the door. Once they were half way gone, Jieun slowed her paced and started eating her food. "Slow down. The food isn't going anywhere." Sunny grasped her shoulder. "I'm hungry." Jieun said with her mouth full.
"Wow. You're so cute~" Sunny remarked and pinched Jieun's cheeks. As they entered the school grounds, Jieun was pushed by someone's shoulder making her food escaped her hands. It fell before she could save it and anger grew in her. "Oh I'm so sorry." The person said with no regret. Jieun could sense the sarcasm in his voice. "Hwang Hyunjin! Do you want my fist to meet your face again?"
