Taste. How important that element is to food. Without it one would never understand the full joy of the dish placed in front of them. Then what happens when that element has never been in the mix since birth? Being forced to eat 'food' that taste like nothing. Knowing you will never get to taste food's glory unless you find the one who is made for you only. It isn't the best of feelings.

Lee Yn, a popular singer who has dominated continents all over the globe, has yet to find her soulmate and taste the flavour of food. Despite this she has not given up hope and strives to find the one. Excelling in cooking to ensure her soulmate has the best first experience, she battles hard choreography's, schedules and more to ensure she is the best for her soulmate.

Yn has always been told that she is really optimistic about her future and it is one of her main trade point that makes people adore her. She was jolly as much as possible and appreciated life despite her health concerns due to her promise with her grandmother, who raised her, to always be happy and face challenges with a smile.

Yn had gained popularity quite rapidly after debuting under a small modelling company that wanted to expand its horizons. They were looking for someone new that was able to move the crowds with their songs and love, so when their scouting agent had found a girl in the countryside singing for money to help her grandmother, they couldn't resist the urge to help. She was a talented girl who didn't need much training and was very eager to do what she could to help her grandma.

Her songs touched many hearts as she sang about losing loved ones, break ups, love and most importantly soulmates. She was very open to her fans and wasn't afraid to tell anyone off for things that put everyone at risk, something a lot of people found surprising. Her love for her fans and even other fandom's were immeasurable. It was obvious how much she enjoyed singing. Something that started off being about money to help her grandmother ended being something she fell in love with. But not everything went perfectly. YN had fallen into deep depression after losing her grandmother, her only family a year after she dominated the music charts with her single 'Flavour bomb'.

It had been a hard time for YN and her fans saw that she was struggling too. It was a time where YN craved her soulmates help but they never showed up. And to make it worse, Yn was also diagnosed with cancer a few months later. It was truly a harsh battle with chemotherapy and depression counselling but she was able to battle through. Something that inspired many. She came out much stronger than ever.

Now 3 years after her grandma's passing, Yn is finally going on a reality TV show. Yn had always avoided these from the beginning but especially after she lost her Grandma. The day of her death happened to be the day Yn was on her first reality TV programme so it had hit her hard. Finally after 3 years, she accepted the chance seeing as her fans had always wanted to see her on one.

"Everyone get into place. We are starting in three, two"

The director started the count down as the shooting began. The shoot was a live cooking show where challengers were put head to head, in teams, to battle out who make the best food. Though Yn couldn't taste anything, she was pretty good at cooking, well that's what others told her, so she was quite confident in this.

"Welcome back to You cook, You eat! Today we have 8 special guest's that will go head to head in a battle of cooking! Before we start teaming people up, let's introduce all of the contestants! Let's welcome the biggest boy band in the world, who have yet to stop dominating the music charts, BTS!"

Cheers and applause from the audience that were sat in the studio, sounded loud and clear as the 7 talented boys walked on to the stage and took their seats opposite the presenter. As the cheers silenced the presenter had the boys introduce themselves. Each and everyone of them introduced themselves in a unique and funny way, making the audience scream in joy and comments flooded in with no decline in speed.

"Welcome BTS! It's an honour to have you here! But now I know that everyone is wondering who the 8th contestant is. As everyone can see, BTS has 7 member which means one more person will have to join to make this fair. As much as I want to, or anyone in this studio wants to, we already have our 8th contestant. "

The boys heads turned in wonder and confusion just like the crowds did. They hadn't met anyone backstage, so they were confused at the set up. They were not informed about someone else being on the show with them and were nervous for who it may be.

"She's beautiful. She's talented. And currently dominating our hearts, everyone put your hands together for YN!"

Yn stepped out from the backstage door as she made her way to the stage waving to the camera and audience who were surprised at her appearance. The boys all stood up and bowed whilst she too did in a form of respect. It was the first time either of them had met each other in real life, so they were nervous to say the least.

"I'm glad you could make it Yn! Thanks for joining us!" The presenter spoke.

"Thanks for having me. I look forward to kicking everyone's butts!"

The crowd went into a frenzy with laughter as the boys got pouty and competitive. Yn laughed too at the boys who smiled back at YN accepting the challenge. After the audience cheers decreased the 8 contestants stood in front of a different set that had the tables they were using to cook on. Before the start, they had to get into pairs.

The writer handed a can with 8 sticks in it which had 4 different colours on it. The one's with the same colour would be a pair. Yn was allowed to pick first so she pulled one out revealing the colour purple. After that the boys played rock, paper, scissors to decide who got which stick.

"Now with everyone having a stick in their hand lets reveal the pairs. The pairs are:

Jungkook and Suga!

Jin and Yn!

J-hope and Jimin!

RM and V!

Put your hands together for the 4 pairings!"

Yn could see how the boys all looked at the last pairing in worry and she couldn't help but laugh. She had heard about Namjoon's and Taehyung's cooking skills from multi's that she met at her fan meeting. She knew for a fact, if the multi's were correct, this was going to be an interesting battle.

Yn and Jin once again introduced themselves to each other before heading to their station. The two discussed what they were going to make and surprisingly they agreed on pretty much everything instantly. They had completed their menu in no time and started to get to know each other in the spare time hey had.

"Wait so no one laughs at your jokes? I don't believe you. The ones you just said where amazing!"

Yn question as she listened to Jin talking about his lack of reactions regarding his jokes. Yn had listened to some and she really liked a few of them and could tell that Jin was a really happy person. She envied his amazing spirit.

"You mean Ama-jin-g!"

Before the two could carry on talking the bell rang meaning cooking time had started and they could no longer sit and talk. As they had everything prepared beforehand they started straight away. The two had learned that neither had found their soulmate yet and couldn't taste anything which put them at a disadvantage but they had to trust in their skills.

They had an hour to make one dish of their choice and then if they had time they could make a dessert or drink. Jin and YN decided in making Bulgogi (marinated beef barbecue) and some some rice. As Jin started on the beef, Yn decided to start on the rice as both would take time to make. Unfortunately they were not allowed to use a rice cooker so they had to go the old fashion way which take about 20 minutes.

The two were too caught up in their cooking and occasional talks that they had forgotten about the camera and audience. Their laughter and jokes were recorded through the camera and were watched by millions who were very happily shipping them. Yn had also made an effort of talking to the other boys too, despite being in a food battle. The 8 of them continuously forgot this was a food battle and were helping each other out. Especially when it came to the seasoning for Yn and Jin's team. They asked the boys to taste test things to see if it needed more salt or seasoning, but in the end Jin decided it was better to have the audience members or the presenter do that instead as the boys could easily make a mess and sabotage them.

With everyone's cute interactions throughout the show, there was no surprise that comments like 'Eight member of BTS', 'YNJIN' or 'They are so cute together' were constantly popping up. A show that was supposed to be a battle turned into a family play day which a lot of people found funny.

Half way through the time everyone was slowly back in focus as Yn finished the rice and started to help Jin with the main dish. "YN-ssi, could you get me the salt from Jungkook's table?" Jin asked as YN headed towards him to help. With a nod, YN headed towards Jungkook's desk looking for the salt container.

"Jungkook-ah, can I borrow the salt please?" Yn questioned as she reached the counter. She looked up to see he was plating some syrup and potato concoction, which had Yn stumped. He nodded as he put the pan down and passed the salt. Out of curiosity, Yn watched as he tried to rearrange the sweet potatoes on the plate. They wouldn't budge.

"Are they suppose to stick like that?"

Jungkook quickly shook his head before picking the plate up. He flipped the plate over and the potatoes didn't move. The two looked at each other before bursting into laughter. Eye's turned to us as Jungkook called out to his hyung's.

Laughter erupted from all around the studio and in the comments laughing emojis were dominating the web. Jungkook continued to play with the plate even after Yn walked over to Jin to pass the salt.

With 5 minutes left on the clock, everyone started putting the last few steps into play. Yn started doing the plating whilst Jin poured a random drink into a glass. Yn asked him what it was but he just shrugged his shoulders saying that he found it 'lying on the side and the ingredients seem nice enough.' Shaking her head, Yn decided to trust Jin before walking over to the bell to stop their timer. They were finished!

As the timer hit zero, everyone put their hands up and moved back from their desks so no cheating took place. With everyone finished, the tasting began. It started with Yoongi and Jungkook's team.

The two had made Japchae (stir-fried noodles) with a side dish which had caused a lot of laughter. Putting their dish on the judging table they moved back as the taster's took a bite. Sound's of approval sounded as they tasted Yoongi's Japchae. Even Yn could tell it would taste like the best Japchae, though she never knew what an ordinary one tasted like.

Next was Jungkook's dish. Before the judges attempted the tasting, Jungkook was asked what the teams philosophy was. Yoongi answered with cleanliness whilst Jungkook answered with adhesive strength before doing his magic show again. The audience had once again burst into laughter at Jungkook's statement. And YN had trouble stopping.

Jin seeing this rubbed her back as she coughed through her giggles. "You okay? Want some water?" He didn't wait for a reply and passed Yn a glass of water. But seeing her shaking hands Jin decided to help her drink it. Holding it to her lips Yn drank the water before thanking Jin. What Yn had noticed was the water tasted different but it was water. Water tasted bland so she she didn't give it much thought and watched as the judges had trouble removing a potato.

After the Yoonkook team, J-hope and Jimin went forward with their dish. The two boys had made Ddukbokki (spicy rice cake). Gasps and grumbles of hunger filled the studio as the dish was revealed. Like Yoongi's dish, this one looked and tasted, according to the judges, like a piece of heaven. It was times like these that Yn wished she could taste things.

The next group was Yn and Jin. The two stepped forward with their dish and held their breaths praying it tasted nice. As the judge took a spoon full of rice into his mouth, YN and Jin looked at each other praying that it tasted decent. Their prayers had been answered as the judge's face lifted into a blissful smile as he took another bite. The two released a sigh of relief before giving each other a high five. Jin's group was the only group that had time to 'make' a drink, so the judge very happily took a sip of it after having tasted 2 dishes prior. Yn had no idea what was in it but hoped that it tasted okay. This time the judge had no reaction but he did take the drink with him so it must have taste okay, right?

The last group was Namjoon and Tae. These two had made Hoeddeok (sweet syrupy pancakes) which is arguably the easiest thing to make. However, the fact the two had made this together and not burnt down the kitchen, the boys were impressed. What no one excepted however was the squirrel sauce made by Tae. Everyone very happily laughed whilst questioning the decoration, whilst the judge dug in.

A sound of approval sounded from the mouth of the judge before he turned to the judging table to make a decision. Whilst the decision was being made everyone was told the categories that they were going to be awarded in. All will be scored out of 5

Promptly after being told the scoring plan, the judge returned infront of the groups as he started to grade the dishes. The first group to be graded was Yoonkook.

"All of your dishes were spectacular but sadly there can only be one winner. The first team, team orange, you dishes were out of this world, in more than one way. The Japchae was seasoned well and had an original twist to it. I can tell that you're the group who loves pushing boundaries. You made a lot of people laugh with your magic trick and also produced a meal worthy of these scores.

For taste out of 5 stars, we have awarded you 3.5. Look and appeal you have earned 3.5, creativity a solid 5 and is it food I would have again, I will award you 4 because yes i would. Team orange out of 20 points you have 16 point! "

Jungkook and Yoongi high fived as the crowds claps. Before anything else can be said or done, the judge announces everyone else's results. Going to each pair he complements each dish and then gives out the scores.

" With that I announce to you the winner of season 8 episode 11 of you eat you cook is Team black!!! RM and V have come out victorious!"

Shocked cheers and voices erupted as the two who were apparently the worst cookers in BTS won. The 2 boys froze before their faces lit up in happiness and the ran around the set taunting and laughing at the other boys. Who would have thought they would win!?

The celebration slowed and the group started digging into the food as the judges went to get the crown for the two winners. The camera's zoomed into to the boys and Yn trying to get some feedback, which they did though it was muffled as they all stuffed their faces with food.

"This taste really good Hyung and Noona. I honestly thought you guys would win." Jk complemented Jin and Yn. The two were eating too though they had no idea how anything tasted. The boys took turn feeding random dishes to each other as Yn went to the side of the set to get a glass of water. As she made her way back to the table Jin came over to her with a piece Bulgogi (marinated beef barbecue) within his chopsticks.

"Here. The boys were eating them all. There won't be any left." Jin held out the chopsticks to Yn.

"It's fine. I had some already. You can have it."

"We already had it all and you only had a bit so have it. And quickly because it might drop." Jin put the chopsticks closer to Yn's lip whilst using his other hand to stop the dropping pieces of rice.

"But I don't have any chopsticks on me and I just washed my hands..." Yn looked around for some chopsticks. She never liked constantly washing her hands without a small break in between. She didn't want to dirty them again.

"It's okay. Here. Just open your mouth." Jin's words surprised her. He was an idol too and knew that this would cause controversy and a lot of problems. But there would also be a problem if she ignored him and declined the offer. Either way they were bound to get in some sort of dilemma.

Quickly deciding it was better to eat it as they could deny any dating rumours that was bound to come up, YN opened her mouth for the beef. Jin smiled before carefully putting the piece of meat in her mouth, making sure it didn't spill everywhere.

Jin was expecting a thumbs up and a smile from YN as she started to chew but instead he was returned with a shocked face and teary eyes's. Thrown off with what had happen Jin raised his hand up to Yn's cheek rubbing the stray tears that rolled down her cheeks. The two hadn't noticed but the camera had zoomed in on what was going on and the boys had also turned around to watch.

"Hey. Are you okay? What happened? Did I do something?" Jin frantically questioned. He hadn't done anything that could make her cry, did he? Yn eye's focused on Jin as she swallowed the bite. Without answering Yn ran to the desk with all their food on it, dragging Jin by the arm along with her. Everyone was silent. No one knew what was happening as Yn looked around the desk frantically.

Yn reached for their dish before borrowing the chopsticks from Jin. Taking a small piece of their dish Yn held it up to Jin's lips. Jin was completely discombobulated and he couldn't hid it either. Seeing this YN opened her mouth for the first time since the beginning of this.

"Please. Please, just take a bite of it." Yn pleaded.

Hearing this Jin felt something turning in him and he opened his mouth without much thought. Shakily Yn placed the food in his mouth and watched in anticipations as he chewed. Slowly his face of confusion morphed into one of surprise and then mimicked Yn's face from before. His eye's held tears that wanted to be shed but he held back. Instead he stuttered out incoherent sentences.

"Y-you are... T-that... I-i didn't know."

Jin had no idea what to say or how to phrase what the words that spiralled in his head. He would have never believed he would have met her here of all places. He had always fantasied how they would meet, but this. This he would have never dreamed of.

And the thought that if she wasn't paired with him, or if he never fed her, they would have separated and never have known. The amount of fear he was feeling at that thought grounded him. It wasn't till he felt arms wrap around his neck, did he realise he didn't need to think of that. They had found each other and that was the only think that mattered.

Jin reciprocated the hug as the two forgot about the TV program and just cried in each others embrace. The two had so much to say to each other but right now nothing mattered. They wanted, no, they needed this time to just let everything sink in

"Jin Hyung and Yn-ssi. Are you both okay?" Yoongi approached the two as they slowly parted from their hug. Yn looked up only to smile before putting her face on Jin's chest again, basking in his present and cologne that she would now love.

"Yes. We're fine. More than fine." Jin finally answered after a silence. The group of boys looked confused. Something that everyone watching was. No one knew how to talk about what was happening so decided to just wait till one of them talked. Jin was the one to do so.

"The dish it tastes really good. You guys weren't lying."

"Why would we l-.. Wait. Did you just say it tastes good? You can taste it!?" Jungkook practically yelled. Everyone else started at Jin as what Jungkook said sank in.

"Yes I did. It taste's really good." Jin replied quickly still holding YN like his life depended on it.

"How ?" That was all that could come out of Namjoon's mouth. Though he knew the answer he had to hear it for himself.

"I found her.

We finally found each other.

I found my soulmate.

My beautiful Yn!"
