Chapter 1- Prologue

Percy walked a line along the camp, keeping a steady pace, deep in thought. She stopped by the large pine tree which created the boarder at the edge of camp which kept the monsters out. A bored and monotone expression present on her face.

3 years had passed since the second war things had calmed down since. In fact, things had become too calm. For that reason, Percy couldn't help but worry.

She twirled Riptide between his fingers in attempt to keep herself preoccupied by something However, his actions were quickly paused by a famine voice which seemed to come from outside of the boarder.

"We can talk about this...hey, I-I'll buy you a Big Mac if you-Ahh!"

Percy stared down the hill and saw a girl. The girl was a bit younger than her, and Percy had to admit, a definite beauty. There was a group of monsters around the person, Percy slowly walked over with Riptide at hand.

"Hey, I get that you're angry and all but isn't attacking a defenceless person too much?"

Percy made her way toward the group of monster, uncapping Riptide and began to smirk as she continued.

"I was hoping to slack off today..."

She charged at the the group of monsters, not bothering to use her full level of strength.

It was a light battle, it didn't take long until Percy stood in the middle of a pile of gold dust, staring towards the girl. Now that Percy was taking a good look at her, he could easily say that this person was indeed very pretty.

Her blonde hair extended to her waist and bright blue eyes as beautiful as currents in the ocean.

She capped her sword and slowly began to walk over to her

"What's your name?"

That was the first thing she decided to ask, not something like;

'Are you okay?'

or

'Do you need any help...'

No, Percy knew far too well by now that asking such things would be a waste of her breath.

"Atlanta Bythesea..."

"You can follow me, I'll show you to the big house."

"Are you also from..."

Her voice trailed off but Percy nodded her head to confirm the girl's thoughts

"Is it your mom or dad?"

"I'm Percy, Poseidon's kid."

Percy held his hand out to Atlanta who warily took it

"Follow me."

Percy led Atlanta up the hill and towards the big house. they passed some campers who gave greetings and smiles as the walked past. Very few times did Percy reply, unbothered by the attention which Atlanta seemed uncomfortable with.

She stared at the woman leading her towards what she had called the 'Big house'.

She was about "5'10" at height with Raven black hair with sea green eyes. The person in front of her hand a perfect sandy beige tan which even models would envy. It wouldn't be an exaggeration on her part to say that even a famous celebrity would look like a squid if compared to her.

Atlanta couldn't help the ting of envy which welled up in her chest.

"..."

Percy continued to walk despite feeling Atlanta's eyes on her since they had entered camp. Despite the burning gaze that seemed to be trying to bore holes into her back, she didn't care. She didn't want to fight against someone right now and even if she did, she could always have Clarisse spar with her.

"You said you were a daughter of Poseidon, right?"

"Yeah."

Percy answered shortly, keeping her gaze up front towards the porch which came into view. Chiron, the middle aged looking centaur was sitting in his wheel chair by the porch.

"Chiron."

Percy greeted as she walked up to him, gaining his attention.

"Percy, why aren't you on patrol duty?"

He asked as Percy gestured towards Atlanta who stepped out from behind her.

"This is Atlanta, she was chased by a group of monsters while coming. I need to head back to patrol duty so I'd appreciate if you could explain things to her."

Chiron nodded his head in understanding and watched as Percy turned and walked off towards the boarders once again to continue with her task of patrolling. He than turned towards Atlanta who seemed to have been doing the same.

"This way, child. I'm sure you must have quite a few questions at the moment."

Chiron turned his wheelchair and began wheeling off as Atlanta followed not far behind. Listening intently as the old centaur spoke and explained to her of her current situation as though it were a natural thing which happened within his daily life.
