Chapter 2

Sunny

The man who introduced himself as my beta carried me all the way inside the mansion. He continued to carry me protectively, determined to shield me from the other guys. When we entered the mansion, I immediately noticed a group of women lined up as they bow to us. I cannot see their expression though I'm sure they must be confused. Why the heck a girl soaked in pond water doing here?

Another man wearing a dark blue suit approached us and bow.

"The residence is prepared your highness," the man said.

"Bring her to the room. Such a disgrace should never be seen by servants," the man who was addressed as your highness answered harshly.

My beta continued to walk, pausing only when his highness told him,

"Be her babysitter Landon. You should know how to control that mutt," his highness said.

Okay, they are referring to me as a mutt and continued to call me names. I mean who is this Luna and why are they calling me that. Feeling dizzy, I can't help but to fall asleep as my beta, Landon carried me to the said residence.

The bed is so soft feeling comfortable as I twist and turn. I hear murmuring voices. Are they talking about me? Are they gossiping about me? I slowly opened my eyes, sat up, and look around me. The room that I am in is like a hotel. There is a hug chandelier on the ceiling. Walls are Victorian inspired with its dark and bright shades of blue. There is a chairs and a table in front of a fireplace. The room looks elegant with paintings of flowers on the wall. As I was staring at the room in awe, I didn't hear someone talked.

"Your highness, we brought you your food," said a girl as she put a tray of food on the bed. I stared at the food dumbfounded. Did they expect me to eat this? Grilled meat, porridge with lots of meat, and pasta with a lot of meat? In fact the pasta looked like a side dish because of how much meat there is. It's gross so I turned the the maids and tell them to change the foods.

"But your highness, these are your favorites and besides the kitchen is not available anymore so please eat this," the maid pleaded as she bowed her head. I almost took pity at her when I saw smirk a little. Did she just smirk? At me? I grabbed the tray and smashed it on the floor. The maids immediately flinched and stared at me.

"Oh I didn't know that kitchens around here are closed when they are supposed to make sure that their bosses are satisfied with their services. You're just a maid but how dare you tell what and what not to do," I scoffed at her. I won't back down. The hotel staff didn't call me perfectionist princess for nothing. "Go back to the kitchen and bring a different food. I prefer vegetables over meat so that will give you an idea. If you didn't do this, I will punish you for disrespecting a Luna," I told them determinedly. No hotel staff of mine defies me whenever I use this tone of voice. I figured a Luna is some kind of a ruler here so I'll try to use my authority to protect myself from these kinds of bullies.

On the doorway, I saw Landon, my beta, carrying a tray of what I can smell as food, mouth opened and staring at me like I'm some kind of a ghost.

"What do you want?" I asked him as I tried to stand up. I looked at him sternly.

"Who are you? You're not Luna,"he gently said.

Oh crap, what should I say? I continued to think of a way to convince him that I'm his Luna or something.
