Author's Point Of View
The bright glowing soul looked around in confusion before her eyes settled on Anastasia
"Tessie?" A voice like tinkling bells broke the silence, startling Anastasia into reality
"Nikki?" Anastasia whispered as tears slid down her face and her face contorted in shock and surprise
"What is going in here?" The soul asked as her flickered to the boy holding a deadly looking knife in his hands
"I... don't know" Anastasia whispered, her eyes clouded in confusion as she looked at the dark haired guy who was already staring at her with a dark, unfathomable expression
Suddenly a gasp emitted from the bright soul which broke their stare and made both Anastasia and Azrail turn towards the glowing soul
"Anastasia.. is he your boyfriend?" Nikki asked her voice accusing with a note of mock hurt
Anastasia's cheeks burned red as she looked away from the dark haired guy's piercing stare
Trust Nikki to make things awkward even after death- Anastasia trail of thought broke as a realisation swam its way up
Anastasia looked at Nikki with confusion and a question to find her already staring at her with fear in her eyes
"Tessie.. why cant I move? And... why am I glowing?" She asked her voice unstable with a note of almost negligible fear
"You are dead and you are glowing for this is your soul" The dark haired speaks up suddenly
Nikki looks at him with confusion in her eyes "What are you-" then her blue eyes widen and a bewildered expression settles on her face
"I am... dead.?" She whispers her eyes blank and her lips parted "I died...I remember...."
Then her eyes flickers to Anastasia who is still looking at her with a thousand question in her eyes and a lump in her throat
"I am sorry Tessie..." Nikki whispers "I didn't believe you when you told me that I was gonna die"
Azrails gaze snaps to the multicoloured eye girl.. Tessie
'She knew about Nora's death but thats..... impossible' Azrail stares at her in shock and surprise 'She can't be a level duo..'
He opens his mouth to say something.. to ask something.. when a memory flashes in his head

FLASHBACK (Azrail's Point Of View)

"I didn't mean to" I whisper as I stare at the blood stricken bodies of so many humans
All because of one....
"I know you didn't but look at the lives lost" Livia says her tone expressionless
"She- She told me it was for the greater good" I whisper my heart tearing open at the expression of so many
"Curiosity kills kid... curiosity kills" Livia says placing a hand on his shoulder
"What will happen now?" I ask my voice hoarse and quivering
"You didn't know?" Livia asks surprise evident in her voice
"Know what?" I ask looking at her surprised stricken expression
She fixes her eyes on a blank point on a wall
"Your parents...." She trails off
An unsettling fear arises in my gut as I look at her imagining the worst and yet curosity burns its way to the front and makes me probe her
"My parents?" Are they alright?
"They are throw off the council and.." she hesitates "They have been sentenced to death..."
All the air gets sucked out of my system..
Death for humans is a chance for rebirth but..
Death for Angels means destroying the essence of life
Death for Angels means never waking up
Death for Angels means silence.... forever
"Why?" I croak with a huge lump in my throat
This couldn't happen.. I was only 9 Aevums old

I was just a kid.. only a kid..and yet-
Yet.. I am the sole cause of their death.. all because I trusted her.. I trusted that stinking, lying mundane
Its all because of her
"Why? Are they being sentenced to death?" I ask my tone a lot harsher making Livia flinch
"Mortui vivos docent" She whispers in her flawless Latin accent
The dead teach the living....
A reminder.. a warning
My parents were dead due to the unforgiving and unexceptionable laws of the Council and the Elites
From that moment I started hating the mundanes, the Elites and and the Council
I begin hating myself for being so Naive

Anastasia's Point Of View
I looked at the dark haired guy who stared into the space with a blank look in his eyes
"Tessie?" Nikki whispered
"Yeah?" I asked turning towards her
"He is going to take me away" She says her voice full of grief
"Wh- What do you mean?" I ask baffled
Nikki looks at me with a sorrowful expression "I am dead Tess.. You didn't think that I would stay here.. did you?"
She is going to leave me alone... again
Before I can say anything she speaks "Tell Brian I am sorry..'kay?"
Brian? The high school quarterback? Why would-
Before I can put my thoughts into words a strange whirring sound grabs my attention. I turn and gasp
A huge black hole appears out of nowhere and all of a sudden I feel my body pull itself towards it. Horrified, I grab a large willow tree and hold onto it
A piercing scream makes me look up and gasp
"Nikki" I scream as I look her soul shatter into a thousand pieces and disappear into the abyss
I look at hole horrified as it starts disappearing taking Nikki with it
No.... Not Again...
