6 Chapter 6

Azrail's Point Of View

The one thing that I just realised is that.....

Mundanes cry a lot! Like I can fill a bucket with the tears that come out of their eyes.

Heck! If the tears weren't salty the water problem wouldn't have been a problem anymore

I do wonder if mundanes actually have a tap or something in their eyes which they turn on due to which water escapes their eyes

It literally is impossible for someone to cry so much and yet Nora's mother is still drowning in water after creating the puddle for straight 6 hours now

The bus weirdo left about 5 hours ago and is yet to return and the digging ceremony is about to be finished

The only thing that is irritating me is the deep sorrow permanently etched on the faces of the mundane grievers

Alright.. Nora died, she is dead now, she is not coming back.. now shoo and go back to your lives instead of wasting your time

Now that I think about it.. I realise that maybe the bus weirdo realised that she was wasting her time and probably left due to that

Smart girl

The question is that....do I tell Livia about her?

Nah.. Liv is too busy.. I'll just bother her.. like always

Maybe I was wrong about thinking that she could see me

There is no way...

I must be going crazy or something

I look back at Nora's Mom who is still crying

Oh for heaven's sake woman..

WILL YOU GET OVER IT?!

Can't she leave the graveyard and go back so I can work already?

I can't understand why do people care so much about others even when they know that they can die at any moment..

And yet they love them.. they love them and blame the fate, destiny and every other crap when they see their loved ones dead

If they get so hurt then just don't love at all... As simple and easy as that

But nooo.... where will the heartbroken stories will come from then.. right?

Before I can critique the mundanes anymore I see the woman placing a kiss on the grave, getting up and wiping her eyes before stalking past me and leaving the graveyard

Her husband goes after her with his son in his arms.. Then some people who were lurking around also start leaving

Finally!

I sit on the ground and look up at the sky to see bright twinkling stars and realise how late it truly is

I groan.. Livia is surely going to kill me.. if only that mundane hadn't grieved for this long

I stand up and walk up to the grave as the last of the people visiting this place leaves before taking out the things required out of my satchel

I look at the grave and a ghost of smile flickers on my face as I read the quote said by... Nicole?

Huh.... Her name is Nicole not Nora

Pity.. Nora was a pretty fine name for her

Eh.. Never mind.. lets get back to work

I take out my Athamé and place it on the grave and begin to make the star

The star has 5 small triangles which stands for 5 things:

Life

Love

Happiness

Sorrow

Death

Things which every mundane experiences in his or her life

Red light erupts as soon as the tangents meet nearly blinding me in the process

I lean back and look up to see the glow spreading in the sky

It amazes me when I see the dark night and the twinkling stars mixing with a blood red glow... it has a kind of horrific beauty

Then suddenly a creak shatters the silence of the night making me look back sharply and seeing..

Nothing

Must be a black cat or squirrel or something

Convinced by my assumption I grab the packet filled with white dust as I wait for the the blood red glow to get brighter

A amused smile flickers on my face as I remember the beliefs the white powder had created

I really don't know how but some soul got convinced that the white powder I currently have right now is pixie dust or something and that became its choice to remember during the rebirth

That guy (Jamie Matthew or something) got pretty famous for creating a fictional world for others

Like seriously?!

Fairy dust? How did he even came up with that thing?

Well.. the so called magical thing that I am carrying right now is...

Wait for it... (Dumroll please)

Its...... Sodium Bicarbonate

A white powdered fire extinguisher

Pretty magical.. right?

It is amazing what people now days are willing to believe

I look at the now brightly glowing light before taking a deep breath and chanting the powerful latin words I have been repeating for ages

Before the energy from the words can get powerful enough to ignite a flame on the star that I have created I quickly throw the dust on it which leads to presence of carbon dioxide

Since the energy could not convert into a flame it presents itself in a dazzling white light which forces me to shut my eyes

Then all of a sudden I hear a noise

A mundane noise

I quickly turn and see a girl, her multicoloured eyes and soft brown hair visible due to the bright light

I suck in a surprised breath as I realise that she is the bus weirdo and she is staring at me.. right at me

Before I can think it through four words leave my mouth and her surprised gaze locked on me answers my question and her nod only confirms it

Before I can interrogate her anymore her gaze turns to something behind me and I turn to see the girl looking at the soul, shock gleaming in her eyes

A stunned feeling enters my chest as I realise that she can see me, she can see the soul and she is not dead...

'What the hell is going to happen?'
