Journey
In a certain road, a caravan was slowly advancing forward. There are several carriages in the caravan that was accompanied by guards. At the center of the caravan was a white carriage with gold designs. One single look and everyone will know that someone with high status was inside of it.
"Hey who do you think is inside that carriage" a man said pointing at the white carriage.
"I don't know but I think it must be someone important. Look around you, they hired so many people just to escort them to the capital. I say there will definitely danger in escorting someone like that" a man answered. He then ask the young man in front of him who was wearing a pair of white clothes, "Oi young man do you think a beautiful young lady is inside the carriage?"
The man in white is Ye Yun, it has been three days when he left the Crystal Water City. Now he has a total of 33,000 soul points after exchanging the items he get in the space ring of the three. After that he decided to travel towards the capital by foot. Although he can fly, he wanted to travel slow while enjoying his time. But who would have thought that this caravan who was about to pass by him while walking would invite him to join them. He then decided to accept the invitation and now here he is, riding in a wild horse.
The man behind him is one of the members of the hired mercenary group. With this large number of people, he knew that they will invite danger along the journey. If they were to be spotted by some bandits, although they have many people, those bandits will still try and attack them. They will surely take the risk to take down this fat ship.
"Beautiful or not, I don't care" Ye Yun replied passively. If dangers come, he will welcome them with open arms. Danger means many soul points to harvest, and if he thought that he has enough soul points, he will use it to buy a soul in the system. The reason why he didn't ask for the price of the soul was because even if he did, he will only get very little information about each souls. So he just decided to save his soul points until he reach the amount where he thought should be enough.
"Haiss, look at you I don't really know why they invited you here" the man replied.
A couple of hours in their journey and the sky is already getting dark.
"Listen everyone, it is already dark and it will be dangerous to travel at night. So we will be setting up our camp in here. This is a good place as there are trees that could hide us and there is a nearby river" the leader of the caravan in front shouted loudly. He pointed at the forest in the side of the road and you can hear the flow of water.
"Each group send someone to scout our surrounding are. Make sure to report immediately if you found something" the leader said.
The people in the caravan then started to make their own tent. Some went to the forest to get some fire woods, and some to release some stress.
Looking around him, Ye Yun realize that everyone was doing something while he was just there standing like a bystander. The white carriage also stops and started to make their camp a little far away from the main camp. He thought that they must want some privacy and space for them.
As he was basically a loner in this group, Ye Yun decided to enter the forest. He wanted to hunt some beast for food and to gain even a little soul points. Even now, the system still doesn't give him mission so he will have to depend on the other two to gain some points.

In a certain part of the forest...
"They make their camp up ahead beside the river. They hired a mercenary group to escort them towards the capital. Although their numbers are a little higher, they all have low and weak cultivation. Do we act now, or wait for them in an ambush?" a man wearing a crimson robe said. His voice is cold and dense smell of blood surrounds him.
"Send number Five and Six, and kill some of their people. If they have a large number, we just need to kill them little by little" the man who seems to be the leader said with a hoarse voice. His eyes was blood colored and his body radiated a dense aura of death.
"He he he, I believe Five and Six will enjoy their time in this mission" after that the man blend in the shadows and disappear completely.
The leader was left alone as he stare at the moon and said, "Do you really think that your daughter can return safely in the capital. I will show you that no one escapes from the Blood Hall"
"This will be a long night"

While walking in the forest, Ye Yun saw a small silhouette hiding behind a tree. Feeling strange about the creature, he walks toward its location. When the small creature saw that Ye Yun was walking towards it, it immediately squeal and run away. Ye Yun realize that the small creature was a small fox. The fur on its body was pure white like the morning cloud and there is a small emerald gem on its forehead.
But unfortunately for the small fox, Ye Yun was much faster. He disappeared in his location and appeared in front of the fox. Ye Yun the quickly catch the fox and look at it closely.
"You look like a snow fox, but snow fox only live in the northern part of the continent where it is cold. But you are different than the snow fox, I've never heard of a fox species that has a gem embedded on their forehead" Ye Yun patted the small head of the fox and felt its fur so soft and smooth. The fox on his hands as if feeling his hands, slowly rub its head against his chest.
"Okay I will take you, but you must listen to me" the small fox in his hands then bite his finger. A small wound appeared in his index finger that instantly close. Ye Yun was surprise from what just happened. He knew himself how tough his body was, and an attack from golden core formation expert wouldn't be able to wound him easily. But this little fox just casually bite him and wound him. How can he be not surprised.
Ding... Contract established
Ding... Host contracted the 'Celestial Evergreen Fox' as his spirit beast.

Ye Yun was surprised by the continuous ringing inside his mind. 'A hidden mission? I receive 20,000 soul points from a hidden mission? Didn't know that there is hidden mission in the system. And a Celestial Evergreen Fox? I never heard of such a spirit beast before' Ye Yun was feeling extremely happy right now. He just receive an additional 20,000 soul points just by completing a hidden mission.
"System how did I suddenly contracted this as a spirit beast? Is it because of the bite that this happened?" Ye Yun asked the system.
Ding... Host is correct it is because of the bite that it became your spirit beast.
Ye Yun then look at the little white fox in his hands who was looking up to him with its bright eyes, "From now on you will follow me. As my spirit beast I will naturally take care of you. But that is in exchange that you will listen to me"
As if understanding what he just said, the little fox move its head in an up and down motion.
"Good, good" Ye Yun then continues his walk in the forest while the fox was resting on his shoulders. But suddenly, he felt two auras moving towards the location where they set up a camp. Judging from the dense killing intent in the aura, it definitely was not someone from the caravan as no one has this kind of aura in the group. The only conclusion is that, this two came here and their intentions were definitely not good.
A cold glint appear in his eyes and he follow the two people behind. The fox on his shoulder raise its head and look at him curiously.
