Hua Family

While Ye Yun was being accompanied by the young lady around the capital. He suddenly felt a familiar aura coming from one of the city gates. He glanced at the young lady beside him who was happily talking and said, "Ok, this should be enough, you can go home now. I have something to do for now"

The young lady was surprised at first, but an understanding smile appeared in her face. When she saw the small pouch he was handing to her, she knew that her job ends here. She take the small pouch he was giving to her and said, "Young master thank you for everything today. My name is Jia Li, if young master has any place in the capital that you wanted to see. I can accompany you"

Ye Yun slightly nodded his head and started to walk away. Jia Li who was left standing there hold the small pouch tightly and decided to go back to her grandparents.

Ye Yun was walking towards the city gate right now. When he arrived, he saw a large group of people standing around the city gates. They are surrounding a white carriage with gold designs allover it. Ye Yun knew that the carriage belongs to the caravan where he was previously part of.

Using his spiritual senses, the familiar aura that he felt must have come from the old man. Right now that old man's body is full of injuries. He was even missing an arm as he was being supported by the people around him. The young lady who was a part of carriage was crying as she hugged a man who looks like her father.

Right now, one of the Great Families in the capital was almost in chaos. The Great Elder of their family was gravely injured after returning back. Many of the family members of the Hua family was surprised when they saw the Great Elder gravely injured that he was even missing an arm. They all thought that the Great Elder was in his place cultivating in silent. Inside a room, the patriarch of the Hua family slammed his palm in the table in front of him. The innocent table was reduced to dust. The patriarch of the family then shouted in anger, "Those bastards from the Blood Hall! They even dare to lay ambush against my family!"

The elders of the family who was in the room all gulped their saliva and shivered in fear. The patriarch right now was really angry, not because the Great Elder was injured. But because his only daughter almost loses her life in the ambushed set up by the Blood Hall.

We must definitely teach them a lesson" one of the elders in the room said. He a fat man with bead like eyes and has a thick lips. The other elders in the room nodded in agreement as they also felt that they must strike back against those people from the Blood Hall.

"We will definitely strike back against them!" the patriarch then move his eyes around the elders in the room and said, "But what matters the most for me is, how they managed to get news about the expedition of the Great Elder and my daughter. From what I know, only us here knew about it, so how come the Blood Hall also knew about it"

Hearing the cold words of the patriarch, the elders in the room felt the temperature plummeted down. They all feel their back filled with cold sweat that bring shivers to their spines. The fatty elder who just spoke felt like he was chocking. His fat face was covered in sweat as his large chest moved up and down.

"R...right! How did they manage to know about it, we must investigate this" the fat elder said while feeling extremely nervous, "P...patriarch let me handle the investigation. I promise you that I will catch whoever responsible for this"

The patriarch and the other elders in the room stare at the fat elder like he was an idiot. They all thought, 'There is no need for investigation, just the way you act right now is enough. You are obviously involve in this'

The patriarch revealed a cold smile and said to the fat elder, "Okay, I will let you take care of the investigation about this. You must present me the 'culprit' of this so that I can punish 'him' severely"

"Y...yes patriarch" the fat elder release a long sigh before trying to calm himself. 'I must think of a way to escape this sh!t. I need to at least present someone in the patriarch, but who should I present?' The fat elder glanced around his fellow elders trying to choose who should he 'accuse' as the suspect for this.

When the elders in the room saw how the fat elder was sizing them up. They all knew what he was thinking already. Their eyes show disdain on them as they agreed in their mind that they must take care of this traitor in their family.

Inside a room in the Hua family mansion, Great Elder Hua was lying on a bed with his whole body covered in injuries. His left arm was cut off when fighting against the 'First Brother' of the Blood Hall in an ambush. Great Elder Hua didn't expect that the First Brother of the Blood Hall was that strong. Almost all the members of their caravan was killed in that ambush.

His fight against the First Brother lasted several hours until both of them was severely injured. They both knew that if they continue to fight, they will only both die in the end. So, both of them retreated while both being severely injured.

The place where they fight is surrounded by corpses from both sides. The thick stench of blood spread through the surroundings that can make anyone puke. Just remembering what happened makes Great Elder Hua grit his teeth in frustration.
