The whole soul of the sect master was directly extracted by the human path. After knowing the information where the Flaming Lotus Flower is located, the Human path instantly moves towards the inner place of the Burning Hall.

Elder Lin and the other three behind her all watch with a horrified expression as the body of the sect master slumped into the ground not moving an inch. They all knew that the moment the soul of the sect master was taken from his body, his only outcome will be dead.

"Now what should I do to you" Elder Lin and the cultivators from the Jade Flower Sect felt a cold chill crawl in their spines. The one who spoke was the same man who jumps in between them earlier that exerted a very strong repulsive force from his body. Looking at the man who was staring at them with those weird eyes, they feel even more terrified.

"Elder Lin what should we do" Elder Lin look at the three of them who was looking at her not knowing what to do. The three were clearly scared just by looking at their appearance. In the past, the four sisters can and will act arrogantly and proud wherever they went because they knew, they had the power to back it up. Also as a disciple of one of the major sects in the empire, they were usually on the winning side even against the other major sects.

But now, six people suddenly appeared and they easily and effortlessly destroy their pride. Even the Elder with them might lose her life in this place. One of them already died, and now the three knew to themselves that they would be the next.

Knowing their situation is really grim, Elder Lin took out four jade amulets in her space ring. "Aaaaaaahhhhh!" a shrill cry from above sounded, then one of the three women who came with Elder Lin was directly pulled towards the hand of the Deva path. The women have a pale white face and her expression was covered in fear. She was just celebrating in her heart because they manage to escape thanks to the escape talisman that Elder Lin gave them. But she never expected that her celebrations come shortly as she just suddenly felt an extremely powerful force pulling her down.

Elder Lin and the other two can only watch in pity as the woman fall in the hands of the man.

The news of what happened into the Burning Hall spread in the area and even reaches the capital even before Ye Yun arrive there. Right now in the imperial palace in the capital of the Azure Dragon Empire. The emperor was holding a meeting with the heads of the three great families, and the representative of each great sects.

"Your majesty, from the reports that our people gained. The reason that the Burning Hall was destroyed is because the sect master didn't give them the Flaming Lotus Flower. He was the person send by the sect master of the Burning Palace. The anger in his voice about what happened in the Burning Hall was clearly shown as he was almost shouting while reporting this.

Up in the throne, a man was sitting there releasing a majestic aura around. It was clear that he was no ordinary person as everyone inside the room were very respectful towards him. He is the emperor of the Azure Dragon Empire, Long Liu.

Emperor Long Liu glanced towards a beautiful woman who was wearing green robes with flowery engravings in it. "Grand Elder Meng, where is Elder Lin and the remaining two who went with her in the Burning Hall?" the voice of the emperor contains a commanding tone as he stared at the grand elder of the Jade Flower Sect.

Grand Elder Meng of the Jade Flower Sect slightly smiled when she heard the emperor. She look at the emperor with her beautiful eyes and said, "Your majesty, Elder Lin and the two were recuperating in our sect. Especially the two who came with Elder Lin, they seems to have received some psychological trauma about what happened in the Burning Hall"

The emperor continues to stare at Grand Elder Meng and said, "When their conditions become stabilize, I want you to take them here. I have something to ask them"

"Yes your majesty" Grand Elder Meng said as she cupped her fists to the emperor.

"We will continue to discuss about what happened in the Burning Hall when the people from the Jade Flower Sect arrived here. For now we will discuss something different" Emperor glance at the elder sent by the burning palace.

"I called all of you here to discuss something. It is related to the strong and strange aura that suddenly appeared a few day ago. Do you have any thoughts on what might be the cause of the sudden appearance of this strange aura" the emperor said as his eyes glanced at the people in the room.

"Your majesty, I have some thought of what it might be" the one who spoke was a middle-aged man wearing a full military armor. A strong and fearsome aura was surrounding his whole body as he spoke. He was the patriarch of one of the three great families in the empire, Bai Jie.

The emperor nodded his head and Bai Jie continues, "Your majesty, I think the sudden appearance of that strange aura is because a treasure appeared around the area when it happened. I don't know if some of you know this, but I've read a book that describes that in the past a battle between immortals happen around the area where the aura came from. It is said that after two months of continuous fighting without a winner. The two immortals who were already gravely injured and tired, decided to bury their legacy in the area where they fight. They hope that one day, when their treasure appeared in the land, those who take them must fight to completely finish the fight between the two immortals"

When Bai Jie said that a treasure might have appeared, almost everyone's eyes brighten, even the emperor listen with interest. One must know that the Azure Dragon Empire was the weakest empire in the whole Soaring Cloud Continent. But although they are the weakest empire, the other two empire couldn't just easily attack and invade them.
