2 Soul

Rex looks around his surroundings, he was in the same hallway as before, only a couple meters away from the Boss Territory. He looks at his hands which seemed to be slightly transparent. His body walks out toward the Boss Territory and turns around looking back at the disconnected Rex.

"Sorry about that buddy, I needed a new body to go up the dungeon, feel free to take mine. I won't be needing it." Rex's body begins laughing as he turns back around and runs toward the Boss Area.

"Hey! Get back here!"

Rex attempted to run after him, but it was no use, he could not feel his legs. In fact, he had no legs, he was simply floating as though he was a ghost. Rex panics, but recollects himself within seconds. He exhales despite not having any organs.

I need to think about my situation.

I have been turned into a ghost, so this must be some type of magic.

Is it undead magic or some unknown recently discovered magic?

Hmmm... Whatever could this be?

Rex floats around for a few minutes, thinking about what he has become, what he will do, and why this happened. During these few minutes, Rex has become more of a blue hue and grew back his legs. Now he is no longer floating but walking around, but he was still lost in his thought. So lost that he had not even noticed he was walking. Or the fact that his surrounding area became tinted with blue.

"By how badly that guy was injured, I'm guessing he needed a younger and a less injured body to go back up the dungeon. I'm pretty sure he has all of my stuff too. Wait. ALL of my stuff," Rex looked up and down his body and realized that he was naked. He did not have his sack filled with potions, gold, and other essentials. Neither did he have his sword or Dungeon ID. "Shit. What if that guy does something weird with my body. I need to get my body back!"

As Rex was walking around in circles coming to his temporarily found goal he bumps into something, or rather someone.

*OOF*

The person he bumps into falls to the ground hard.

"Are you okay, I didn't notice you there," Rex asks holding out his hand to pick up the person.

However the person quickly gets up as though he had not fallen at all.

The person is a lot smaller than Rex's six foot lean figure. He looks like a child, Rex thinks to himself, he has got to be at least eight years younger than me.

"AHHHHHH!"

Rex is startled by the child's sudden outburst. "What's wrong did you hurt yourself from falling," Rex says taking a step back.

"I'm not hurt by the fall, souls can't be hurt from such accidents. BUT! My eyes may be hurt from looking at a NUDE man!"

Rex quickly covers his privates, "I kind of don't have clothes can you lend me some!"

"Did you die naked or something? Just open your inventory and grab the clothes you wore when you were alive. Wait... Do you even know how to do that?"

Rex shakes his head.

The child sighs, "Imagine you are opening an invisible bag, but focus all of your soul, on moving your muscles to opening that bag."

Rex follows the child's instructions, closing his eyes, and eventually feels a zipper. He unzips the zipper and feels a sudden rush of heat, he opens his eyes. Laid before him was an unzipped section of space, "Good," the child says, "Now think about what you want and reach in there."

I want my clothes, was the thought that vibrated throughout all of Rex's mind, he reached into the space and felt cloth. He smiled and grabbed it, forcibly pulling it out the space. The unzipped space, zipped itself up and dissappeared. Rex quickly examined his clothes, everything was there from his underwear to his outerwear to even his footwear. However he did not have any of his armor or other exterior accessories.

He quickly dressed himself, as he does the child sat on the rubble humming to himself, while waiting for Rex to get dressed.

Once Rex is finished he turns to the child, this child seems to know a lot more than I do about what is going on, he thinks. I need to ask him questions, get as much info then evaluate what my next move should be.

"Hey, kid."

"Hmmm"

"Why is it suddenly all blue around here?"

"Oh, you are in the Soul World. You can only get here if you either die or come here through special means."

"I don't remember myself dying, someone took my body. Do you know anyone who can do that?"

"Hmmm, I do not know any who can take over a body and take out the soul. It may be soul magic."

I never heard of that magic before, what kind of magic forces someone's soul out of their body, Rex thought.

"Is there anyway for me to get my body back?"

The child nods. "It is very diffucult though, you would have to destroy the soul within your body to claim it back, or learn Soul Magic and forcibly take it out."

Rex sighs, learning Soul Magic will be out of the question, I cannot use magic. "How do I...destory a soul."

The child hops off of the rubble and picks up a small pebble. He steps back from Rex and throws the pebble at Rex, which goes right through his stomach. Rex, who is turned to the child, asks, "Why did you just throw that?"

The child shushes him, "Anything from outside of the Soul World cannot harm a soul. No physical attack or magic, except for Soul Magic of course. However once you are a soul in the Soul World, all physical attacks or magic spells transform into an energy made by your soul. So if I apply a bit of that energy to another pebble."

The child reaches down and picks up another pebble, he throws it up in the air and catches it. He then surrounds it with a blue-ish aura. "This is Soul Mana." The child throws it at Rex, in which it pierces through him leaving a hole in his stomach.

Rex screams in pain for a second until the wound began to heal itself almost instantaneously. "I see," Rex says, "I need to use Soul Mana to destroy that guy's soul and take back my body."

Rex is amazed at what he had just learned, the problem is that he cannot use magic or manipulate his mana so how will he be able to use Soul Mana.

"I have a question, kid."

"What is it mister?"

"How come through our whole conversation, you have been smiling."

A silence drops between them.

"Well mister it is simple..." the child's smile grows even larger, "I am helping someone."
