1 Prologue - The Anomaly

Sitting on a chair, a teenager stared at the screen in front of him with his eyes that were seemingly bland and dead. No emotion swirled in it, as he continuously clicked his mouse nonstop in search of another thing to read. After a while, he still found nothing, so he couldn't help but sigh and raise ran through his hair with his fingers.

How did his life come to this? Where exactly did it go all wrong?

Looking down at his body, he reached down to grab his belly which started to slowly fatten up. He didn't move around for months, maybe even a year now.

"Can you tell me where I went wrong, ******?" The teen asked with a bitter smile on his face. He was an emotional guy. At the very least, he was in the inside. Sadly, someone like him would never survive in an area where practically everyone was ruthless. Especially in America. When being oppressed for who you are, even when you force yourself to change, it would only be a temporary solution. You may have friends, you may even have a girlfriend, but in an area like where he lives, it would only last for so long before you break up with her, and find out how all of your friends were secretly talking crap about you. Right after you find out, they'll simply cut you out of their lives. Leaving you with emptiness as the realization that people who you once considered friends, betrayed you.

"Can the world be so cruel? If there truly is such thing as Gods, why wouldn't they make me heartless just like the rest of these people?" The teen whispered as he looked up at the ceiling of his room. Seeing as he still wouldn't get an answer, he finally looked down to go through posts and stories on his iphone, as there was simply no updates coming out in this novel site he was reading.

'Thank you to my new baby! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't know what I would do!' A picture of a blonde haired girl with jade eyes captioned with her hugging a new random guy. Even though this girl was his ex, he wasn't even angry anymore. What's the point of being angry? It wouldn't do anything, it wouldn't solve anything. The world he lives in was ultimately boring. One not worth mentioning. Yet, looking at this, he finally felt as if he forgot something. One that was once apart of him.

'Do you feel as if your life was boring?' A voice in his head suddenly asked. It sounded old and kind of familiar to him. Yet, the teen wasn't even phased. He practically lost all of his emotions. Surprise, fear, anger, happiness, joy, anxiety, everything. It was all gone, it was reduced into nothingness.

"..."

'Are you going to answer my question, boy? Do you feel as if your life was boring?' The voice repeated again, seemingly agitated.

"Yes. Not only is it boring, but it's also a cruel world. Those who are innocent will turn to dust while those who are heartless are the ultimate winners." The man finally answered. He looked through his phone to play some music, and when he finally found something he would like to listen to, he began to play it. His black headphones were loud as it blasted music, but it was still not enough for him to ignore the voice in his head.

'But that's the ultimate truth of the universe, is it not? Even if someone like that were to enter into existence and become the so-called "Winner" you speak of, it would only be temporary. Let's put you as an example. Your dream is very similar to a certain red-haired boy who was saved from a fire. Your dream was to help everyone, yet the results were nothing. While you did help them in their minor inconveniences in life and may have even helped them pass through this hurdle called 'School', they expressed nothing to you. What you did was not even worthy of being called a "Hero" You can fight however you want, you can help however you want, but the end result will always be the same. No matter how many times you use your fist to help someone, even if it's in a fight, it would still result to nothing. Unless you want to count in the fact you were expelled just because of a simple matter such as bullying, then be my guest. You're still at the short-end of the stick.' The voice replied back harshly. Yet it didn't deter the man who was listening to music at all.

"Did I ask for anything from them?" He asked the voice in his head as he stared boringly at his phone.

'...'

"Seeing as your silent, then I'll answer for you. No, I never asked for anything. All I did was do something that was nothing but my own selfish wish. True as it may, while my small actions only saved a few and helped another person in his path, was it truly wrong? Sure, they may be insignificant in life, but what's truly a definition of a Hero? No one will know, as everyone has there own definition as to what a Hero is. I may not be a "Hero" in everyone's book, but is it wrong to strive for the "Hero" I believe in?" He questioned, as the scene around him slowly changed, as it warped into a wasteland filled with thousands of weapons.

"Do I truly have the right to complain when I myself caused it even while knowing what would happen?" A thousand blades hummed throughout the area as if it was mourning for a person. All of a sudden, the man stood up, as the music within his headphones changed.

(AN//: Last Stardust- Aimer. If you have the time, play this.)

When he raised his head to look at the sky, a majestic white dragon with blue eyes descended down into this wasteland.

"I took full responsibility for my actions. Even if I lost everything, I still gained everything I desired." A small genuine came across his lips as he said that. The world suddenly vibrated with intensity, as a hill was created on this wasteland. Standing on top of a hill, was one sword that shined brilliantly. It called out to him, just as he called out to the sword of Victory.

As he walked slowly onto the hill, each step created a blue smoke, that lighted up the wasteland. Grasses started growing, life was slowly created. Each sword, spear, bow, and axe found it's "Peace".

As he got closer and closer, the White Dragon released a roar, as if its prestige was being challenged.

'Insolence! You still have this kind of mindset after everything that's happened?! You still dare to strive for what you believe in as a "Hero"?! Do you know how many starving people are out there in your world, do you know how useless it is to try and become one?! It's the same everywhere, a dog eats dog world! While in the eyes of your world, this idea was gone. It's still there to this very day, except it's ruled by power, influence, fame, and money!' The Dragon roared as it stared at him with intense ferocity. The dimensions around seemingly shrank before him, and the weapons in this world quivered before it's might.

"Yet, you seemed to not understand what I was previously saying. I admit I am fortunate to have what I have. I'm luckier compared to those out there, no matter how cruel it sounds. I wanted to be a Hero, yes. But who in the world can truly accomplish being one other than those who created world peace by themselves temporarily? I just want to strive to become one. While I won't be able to save everyone, can't I just save the few who are close? Can't I just slay what I perceive as evil? Everyone has there own principles, and I have mine. Even if the world perceives me as a Villian, in the end, I perceive myself as..." He closed his eyes as he reached his hand onto the handle of the Sword of Victory. The world once again changed, as it began snowing. Yet it still didn't affect the life in this world. The snow slowly landed on the ground, not even affecting the grass, water, or even the weapons in this world. It was as if it was meant to be a part of it.

"A Hero!" Opening his eyes, the man finally showed his ambition, his ideals! He raised the sword that was stabbed into the ground causing it to shine brightly across the vast world! The sword Excalibur was finally held by another mortals hands!

"Interesting, very interesting indeed!" The Dragon finally spoke without the use of telepathy. It seems to finally give up on the act, and accepted who he was.

"Very well, I will entrust you my spirit, as well as "his" spirit! Listen very well, your will, your ideals, you will strive for them in the world you once believed was fiction! I'll gift you powerful words once you reach a certain level, but only when you reach it! Listen very well, mortal known as- no, now known as Ling Tian! My name is Albion! I am the White Dragon Spirit that resides in you! The other one is your Tool Spirit, the spirit that holds the concepts of your reality! Walk to the path of godhood, or find another path that hasn't been crossed by anyone! It's your own choice!" The Dragon known as Albion lets out a laugh that shook the land as he stared at the man now identified as Ling Tian who suddenly dropped to the ground completely unconscious.

The changes in the Continent of Douluo will finally begin to occur as an Anomaly arrives!
