7 CHAPTER-5: Against Teacher Wu

          That night, Wulin practiced his spear technique, using a spear he borrowed from Zhou Shi, who was curious about Tang Wulin's sudden interest in spears.

        He practiced Thousand Accusing Fingers, which creates Thousand spear consciousness for both mental and physical attack, and the Indefinite Storm, which creates a halo that could dissolve or seal any and all things, Mass and energy alike. This increased his profiency, but he knew this level was nowhere close to his father, who was able to completely seal the Abyssal Sage King with only just a split soul.

    After practice, Tang Wulin fell asleep outside, by the bench he sat down for rest.

     Dawn came, and the first ray of sunshine hit Tang Wulin's eyes, waking him up. Much to Tang Wulin's surprise, there was a blanket over him. Seeing this, a small smile grew on his face, knowing who it could have been,

'Gu Yue'

      He didn't practice purple demonic eyes this time, since he already had spirit domain spiritual power, although he sealed it with Old Tang's help. He went inside to get ready to go to class.

"Boss, your hair is black again?", a voice came from behind, which turned out to be Xie Xie, the brunette with the light shadow dragon daggers.

"Yeah, it is. I am suppressing my bloodline since the blue hair is too eye catching ", Tang Wulin replied.

"Wulin, I am taking Xiaoyan to get her spirit ring the weekend, wanna come? We could have three more, other than the four of us", Gu Yue  asked as she got into their dorm room, with Xu Xiaoyan following close by.

"I won't be able to, I am planning on trying out the ascension platform anyway.  But I could help you fill the vacancies ", Tang Wulin agreed.

"Huh, I wanna try it out too, boss ", Xie Xie blurted out. Others also looked like they wanna accompany him. Tang Wulin shook his said, "no, I have to go alone. I need to familiarize myself with my current strength".

       The rest nodded in understanding. Wulin then tells Gu Yue to invite Yuanen, by making a deal with her, while he could ask Yue Zenghyu. As for the next two, Wulin said he needs to make a call to an old friend.

       With that, the group of four proceeded to class.

       When they arrived, the whole class, at first ignored him, since he didn't attend class for three days. Wulin proceeded to his seat without even glancing at the class, as if the whole class didn't matter to him. Gu Yue accompanied him from the side. Wulin's attitude and the his presence caused everyone in class to involuntarily tense up.

"It just me, or did boss change somehow?", Xie Xie whispered to Xu Xiaoyan.

"Yeah....", she nodded, " it's sort of like sister Gu Yue, as if the nothing affects him. But he's not as cold as her".

      As the class settled in, Shen Yi and Wu Zhangkong walked in. Shen Yi announced that the students will be facing any of the two teachers in a team matches and asked Tang Wulin to make everyone assemble on the field.

       Tang Wulin got up from his seat and turned to everyone, " Alright class, everyone proceed to the field in an orderly fashion ".

      The class got up but no one paid any heed to Tang Wulin's words and proceeded to walk out as they pleased. Tang Wulin expected this, since this was exactly like in previous life, but this time something was different. He couldn't ignore it.

"Did I stutter?", Tang Wulin spoke coldly as he glanced at the entire class.

     Those cold words and the pressure he radiated involuntarily, caused a chill run down the spine of the whole class. Even the two teachers were startled.

     Tang Wulin was the leader of two great organizations, including the Shrek, a God who lead humanity in his previous life. How could he let it slide when he was given such disrespect? Even if he weren't a God, his dragon's pride wouldn't allow him. After all, Tang Wulin is the Golden Dragon King!

     The whole class quickly formed a single line and moved out. Although everyone believed Tang Wulin wasn't that strong, they still couldn't shake of the feeling they just experienced. It was feeling of being suppressed by a king!

    At the field, Tang Wulin, Gu Yue, Wu Siduo and Luo Guoxing chose Wu Zhangkong as opponent, since they were familiar with him. Tang Wulin asked if he could use a spear, surprising everyone. Shen Yi was about to refuse, but Wu Zhangkong agreed, since he also wanted to see how good Tang Wulin was with a spear.

"So, let's have Tang Wulin tank the attacks, while Wu Siduo sneak attacks. I will be the main controller while Gu Yue supports with long range artillery. Let's keep it simple ", Luo Guixing took the lead without giving a chance for Tang Wulin to speak. Gu Yue was about to protest but,

"That's not gonna work ", Tang Wulin spoke up, causing everyone to look at him. "Your plan would fall apart when we face him. It's better if you just keep supporting Wu Siduo alone, and don't interfere with what I do. We never fought together before so it's better if we don't get in each other's way ".

"Are you saying you could take him on without Luo Guixing controlling him ", Wu Siduo asked, her gaze still cold at Tang Wulin. "I can make openings for you two to take advantage of. As for support, I got the best support I could ask for", Tang Wulin said confidently as he glanced at Gu Yue. He was right. He was right, among his four man team, Gu Yue knew him the best and so their team work would be much better than all four of them combined.

      Gu Yue smiled slightly and nodded. "Are you that confident in taking on a spirit Sage ?", Luo Guixing raised an eyebrow, to which Tang Wulin nodded without looking at him, much to his displeasure.

     With that, the four of then went up to the arena. Wulin walked up in the middle, while Gu Yue and Luo Guixing flanked the sides. Wu Siduo was right behind Tang Wulin.

   When Shen Yi announced the match to start, Tang Wulin quickly used Ghost Shadow Perplexing steps, a Tang Sect technique to zoom in on Wu Zhangkong immediately. He used it, since his usual speed in his current age was too slow for him!

    Wu Zhangkong was a bit startled by Tang Wulin's sudden charge, but quickly used his Sky Frost sword to defend again Tang Wulin's spear attacks. He wanted to see how good Tang Wulin was with his spear, so the two ended up in a clash of sword and spear, without the use of soul power.

      Much to Wu Zhangkong's surprise, Tang Wulin was not only able to keep up with him, but also was able to make him lose his balance time after time, by constantly attacking from differ sides using the movement technique.

     "Was he always this good with Spears?", he thought. With that, Wu Zhangkong decided to take Tang Wulin seriously. His swings became more precise and strong.

      Tang Wulin activated his purple demonic eyes, and parried with Wu Zhangkong. Although he didn't needed the technique, since he already has more spiritual power than any of his classmates and teacher, he didn't wanna disclose it. And so, he used Purple Demonic eyes, regardless of how over kill it was.

     In between their clash, Tang Wulin used 'Controlling Crane, Capturing dragon' on Wu Zhangkong's feet, causing him to trip backward, just a bit. But at that instant, Wu Siduo, with Luo Guixing's teleportation, appeared in front of him, with her long nails, ready to strike. Wu Zhangkong quickly used Ghost Shadow Steps to regain his balance and retaliated using Frost slash on both Wulin and Wu Siduo.

      Wu Siduo dodged the incoming slash using hell rush, while Tang Wulin twisted his body and jumped over it easily, surprising everyone. With Gu Yue using her space element, he was teleported infront of Wu Zhangkong again in an instant, causing everyone to gasp.

'SHE COULD USE SPACE ELEMENT AS WELL?!'

"You had space element too?", Luo Guixing asked in surprise.

"If you can use it, why can't I?", Gu Yue replied indifferently.

      Tang Wulin and Wu Zhangkong ended up in another set of clash. Wu Zhangkong using his innate speed as a soul sage while Wulin using his movement technique, the two were moving at incredibly speed. Other than when Wu Siduo sneak attacked, Wu Zhangkong didn't use any of his soul skills since he wanted to see how good Tang Wulin was with his spear.

     Tang Wulin wasn't being too aggressive with his attacks. Instead, he used his longed reach to precisely target Wu Zhangkong's feet and hip, making him loose his balance, even if it's just a bit, and moving to all sides using Ghost Perplexed steps.

"I didn't know you were this good with a spear", Wu Zhangkong asked casually. He completely forgot about the other three and was full immersed in fighting with his disciple.

"I did train over the years, it's just that, I never shown you until now ", Tang Wulin replied. Well, he wasn't wrong. He did train in his previous life, and Wu Zhangkong only witnessed it now.

     Suddenly, Wu Zhangkong felt his leg was stuck. He glanced down, and saw it was dug into the ground. 'Gu Yue..', he quickly understood who was responsible. He honestly forgot it was a team battle! And Gu Yue used that moment to trap him.

     Wu zhangkong quickly used Frost mist to trap Wulin and also to defend, but to his surprise, the mist was easily dispersing. He used purple demonic eyes and saw his icy was guided away from the arena when it hit the thick wines that surrounded Tang Wulin, who released his two soul rings, and filled the field.

'That's not Blue Silver Grass!', Wu Zhangkong was shocked. The vines were much thicker and tenacious, and none of his icy attacks were able to freeze those vine.

    He wasn't the only one who was surprised. Everyone present were surprised. They clearly remembered that Tang Wulin's martial soul was Blue Silver grass.

'And did his soul skills also change?', Gu Yue asked herself. She knew that Wulin's first soul skill was bind and other was Blue Silver impaling array. It didn't have the property of elemental guiding! And she was right. His soul skill changed from Blue Silver impaling array to Blue Silver Golden array, after it evolved into Blue Silver Emperor and was infused with the Golden Dragon King blood.

"Gu Yue, Luo Guixing! Trap him now!", Tang Wulin yelled while he used Wu zhangkong's shock as an opening to bind him. With his increased mentality, he could easily control these vines as if they were a part of his body.

    Wu Zhangkong quickly snapped out of it and was about to use his soul skill to cut through the vines, but his body was frozen solid. It was spacial lock, Luo Guixing's first soul Skill!

     Although Luo Guixing was nowhere strong enough to immobilize Wu Zhangkong for long, with Gu Yue's spatial control, he was able to trap him just a bit.

    At this instant, Tang Wulin and Wu Siduo used Ghost steps and hell rush to reach Wu Zhangkong, with the spear tip in front of his throat and the sharp  nail behind his neck, leaving everyone stunned.
