4 Chapter-2: Grandmother

"Wulin!", a beautiful woman appeared near Tang Wulin, entire presence radiated life, vitality and the love of nature. She Hugged him, while crying out. Although she, Ah Yin was always able sense Wulin's presence, it doesn't make up for not being able to meet him, to help and support him during the hardships he faced.

"It's me grandma, don't cry, please don't cry ", Tang Wulin comforted Ah Yin. "How? How did you find out?", Ah Yin asked, still in tears.

"I can't explain everything, but I know about father's plan about the abbysal plane, and you giving the seed of life to me", Tang Wulin said, causing Ah Yin's eyes to widen. She wanted to ask about it but Tang Wulin interrupted

"I know you wanna know why, but now is not the time for that. For now, can you tell me much clearly about the abbysal plane. I wanna help as well", Tang Wulin said with determination evident in his eyes.

The abbysal plane, his father's master plan to prolong Douluo star's depleting life energy by devouring another plane. Although it did succeed, and people who died were brought back to life, it didn't change the fact that inorder to reach that point, many dark soul masters butchered countless innocent lives. So he wanted to find a better route.

After his discussion with Ah Yin, he told her not to transfer nature seed to him, at least not yet. He didn't want the destruction of Shrek and Tang Sect to occur as he believed if the Gold Tree was at its peak strength, it could have protected the Academy and Tang Sect. So he didn't agree on inheriting the nature child despite Ah Yin's reluctance.

"Wulin, the Gold tree is reaching it's end, it's not wise not to transfer the seed to you", Ah Yin insisted. "Grandmother, there is another option you are overlooking. Evolution", Tang Wulin explained, causing Ah Yin's eyes to widen.

"What do you mean?"

"Instead of replanting a new seed, we could just use the energy from the Abbysal Plane to evolve the Gold Tree. That way, the tree won't have to transfer its life energy to me"

"Wulin, although what you're saying is true, the purpose of the Seed of life is to gather life energy so that the Gold tree grows anew. Although the consumption of life energy is same as your method, it will be smoother than transferring the energy little by little to tree, since the seed is already gathering the energy at once", Ah Yin explained

Tang Wulin's eyes widened in realisation. So that means, if the divine tree wasn't destroyed, the seed could gather the life energy of the Abyss with Tang Wulin as the medium. But since the tree was destroyed, it required even more life energy to grow into the Eternal Sky Tree.

"By your method, are you implying the Gold tree may be destroyed?", Ah Yin raised an eyebrow. Tang Wulin was taken aback, but he knew it may affect the future too much if anyone else finds out he turned back time. "There is scheme against Shrek and Tang Sect, although I don't know who they are now, but I'm guessing it might be related to the dark soul masters. I'm sorry grandmother, but this is all I could tell you, but know your grandson wouldn't do anything to bring shame on our family. But for now, Shrek and Tang Sect needs to build up its defense", Tang Wulin said, but lamented in his heart for keeping the truth from Ah Yin.

Ah Yin smiled gently, "I know you won't and I won't ask you what happened". Tang Wulin smiled, but within his heart, all the memories he lived through were still fresh.

Surprising him, Ah Yin hugged him again. " I can tell from your face..", Ah Yin spoke, much to Tang Wulin's confusion. "..you had it rough didn't you?", those words of his eyes widen, as countless memories poured in, which honestly traumatized him. His parents going missing, Gu Yue and Na Er leaving him, Tang Sect and Shrek Academy destruction, his burden as the Sect Master and Sea God Pavillion Master, the death of his adoptive parents and later Ya Li's death, the stress due to the abyssal plane, and to top it all of, his final battle with Gu Yuena. All those memories caused his eyes to fill up:

"Yeah, it was rough, really hard. I don't know what to do, I just don't want anyone else to leave me again", Tang Wulin cried. Although he was revered as the strongest in his previous life, the stress and pain was always there, but he never showed it anyone. He experienced his loved once Going away from him way too many time, that right now all that pain poured out as tears. It didn't matter if his mental age was 23, it didn't matter if he was a God, right now, in his grandmother's arms, he was just a child.

Ah Yin rubbed his head, comforting him. although she could know what happened, she understood that Tang Wulin was shouldering way too much burden despite the smile he showed. That smile was simply an excellent mask to cover up his sorrow deep within. A mask, so well made, no one could see through. All anyone could see was determination.

But Ah Yin was able to see right through. She could tell that her grandson was forcing it. Deep within, she also felt sorrow for not being there by his side. For now, all she could do was hug him, and let him cry out all that grief.

After a brief moment within which, Tang Wulin was crying, he felt his heart lighten alot. He understood once again, the how wonderful a family is. After this, he took a step back, his face full of determination.

"So, what are you gonna do next?", Ah Yin asked. Although Tang Wulin was only 13 years old, he looked way more mature in her eyes. 'He's just like how brother Hao described Xiao San was when he was this age '.

"Leaving the Abyssal plane, I now need to convince the Tang Sect and Shrek to raise there defenses. But the problem is, I doubt they would give any ear to my words", Tang Wulin sighed at the end. Hearing this, Ah Yin chuckled.

"What is it grandma?", Tang Wulin asked in confusion.

"You are forgetting who you are, Wulin. Have you forgotten who was the founder of Tang Sect and after whose name, the sea God Pavillion was formed"

Hearing this, Tang Wulin suddenly realized, ' I'm such an idiot! How could I forget something like that. of course, it's my father who founded the Tang Sect, and ain't no way the Sea God Pavillion would disregard this identity of mine as well. But

"Are you telling me to disclose my identity?", Tang Wulin asked. Because his identity has the power to shake the whole federation to the core. It could also bring countless dangers along with it. That's the reason he didnot even tell his friends until he was strong enough.

"I know what would happen if word gets out. But having the Sect master or someone really trustworthy know about your identity would be useful ", Ah Yin said.

Tang Wulin also understood that his grandmother was right. "You are right"

"Anything else?", Ah Yin enquired.

"I wanna end the conflict between humans and soul beasts".

These words by Tang Wulin took Ah Yin aback. "You mean, the soul beast may revolt?", she asked, to which, Tang Wulin nodded with a Grim look, " they will ".

"How are you so sure ?"

"Because the spirit Pagoda has been suppressing the soul beasts way too much now, and also.....

"Silver Dragon King awakened"

This caused Ah Yin's eyes to widen. Being in the divine realm, she also knows about the Silver Dragon King who escaped into a space and never been seen again. Dragon that had the dragon God's power to control the elements, the ruler of all soul beast. If the Silver Dragon King is back, then surely the soul beasts would retaliate.

"Grandma, how should I resolve this conflict?", Tang Wulin asked helplessly.

"In order to stop it, you must first understand what the soul beasts really want. For that, I suggest you meet Er Ming and Da Ming", Ah Yin advised. Although she herself was a soul beast, even she couldn't grasp the situation properly. For that, it would be best to meet someone who interacts with soul beasts the most.

Tang Wulin nodded. "Grandma, do you know where the Pavillion master is, at the moment?", he asked.

Ah Yin closed her eyes, as if thinking something. Later she opened them and spoke, " Yun Ming seem to be by the Gold tree at the moment. it seems his wife is also accompanying him. I could take you to him right now ".
