12 An Old Friend

         A monitor was recording was displaying Tang Wulin's movements in the Spirit ascension platform. Leng Yaozhu wanted to see how good Tang Wulin was as she knew he was her disciple's little crush. So she investigated him and found out that Shrek placed great importance on him.

     But she just witnessed left her utterly speechless. Tang Wulin just took down a duskgold dreadclaw bear single handedly, in one strike. He also tanked its attack so casually. And that precise control over those strange vines was able to render the bear completely immobile.

'This kid just one shotted a the ten thousand year old duskgold dreadclaw bear!', was what she thought. It was possible for a three ring soul elder, but to do it in one strike was unheard of. After all, it was called the Earth renderer for a reason.

      Tang Wulin, didn't stop there. He easily trecked into the forest, defeating every soul beast coming his way. Even if his soul power and strength was low, his battle instincts were extremely sharp. So it wasn't too hard for him.

"I got a fair idea of my current strength. And my control over blue silver emperor is also smooth. But the lack of speed is annoying ", Tang Wulin evaluated.

"That's because you are too used to your speed in your prime state. So it will be hard to get used to ", Jin said. He seemed to like observing the doulou continent now that he is finally gotten rid of his madness. He was really fascinated by the modern age developments.

The Sea God Trident acknowledging you, your knowledge of me and the abyssal plane, and also your pride. The pride of a God was evident in front of me, no matter how you hid it ", Tang San, or old Tang, said with a smile.

"I'm sorry father. I wanted to tell you, but I didn't know if it may change the timeline too much ", Tang Wulin said, bowing down, within his mental sea.

"I understand why. Don't bow. And I am proud, that you were able to achieve such a feat. Even though I am no stranger to rebirth, turning back time is something even I can't do", Tang San said. This was the first time, Tang Wulin called his spirit imprint, Father, which brought extreme joy for Tang San. After all, even as a split soul, it did hurt him when his son didn't address him as such.

"You are as sharp as ever, Asura God", Jin's begrudging voice came again. "And brat, don't think too much, it won't matter whether or not you tell him, after all, he's not here. Also, mystery of time element is something you can never fully grasp. Even the slightest ripple can cause a great tidal wave in the flow of time. So a change is inevitable ".

     Wulin nodded and walked on. He couldn't help but be amazed at his father's deduction.

She wanted to seek revenge on you humans but in the previous life, ironically she fell for your son. Even in their final clash, she was willing to die by his hand, as she couldn't bring herself to kill him. She tricked him into stabbing her through the heart. In the end your son was willing to die with her, but ended up turning back time. It was a truly fascinating memory ", Jin described the memories he saw about his previous life.

     Tang San was shocked. He stared at Tang Wulin, who's image was projected within the mental sea. "Father, I was unfilial, but I couldn't bring myself to let her go and I don't regret it", Tang Wulin bowed

"I am proud of you, my son. The unwillingness of letting go someone you truly love is what makes a man", Tang San said. "Your grandfather fought against the entire martial soul hole for her mother. And Yuhao, even if I like bullying him, he is someone I am proud to call my son-in-law. He never hesitated to go against me to be against me for your sister, despite being a human. So don't think I am mad. But remember this. This is your second chance, and you may not get another. So this life, do not let her go. As for the matter with the spirit beast, I will come back as fast as I can".

         Tang Wulin nodded seriously and determined.

      He moved on, as he swung and hopped over the branches like a monkey. 'This brings back memories ', he thought, as he remembered himself going through this route, with Gu Yue on his back, in his previous life.

"ROAR!!"

     A deafening roar was heard, as a gaint head emerged from the woods and stared at Tang Wulin. The soul beast was over thirty metre tall, with giant claws and teeth. It glared at Tang Wulin as it roared again. It was the Tyrant dragon! Knowing as the king of all earth dragons.

     Tang Wulin smiled, as he himself let out a dragon cry. Hearing this, the giant dragon's eyes widened. It stumbled back and kneeled down infront of Tang Wulin like a puppy.

"So you finally knows its place", Jin spoke with disdain. The Tyrant dragon possessed the golden dragon king bloodline. So, its behavior earlier at Tang Wulin, infuriated the previous Golden Dragon King.

     Tang Wulin walked up and patted the dragon's head. 'We meet again, old friend ', he sent a mental message into the Tyrant dragon. Tyrant dragon was his spirit soul, which later became his sommon, in his previous life. Although it didn't quite get what Tang Wulin meant, the Tyrant dragon was joyful to be called a friend by its king. It raised its head and started licking Tang Wulin.

     Then, it suddenly stood up, and roared at the sky. Tang Wulin could feel all the soul beast in the area fled away by the roar.

     But suddenly, the space warped and a slender figure appeared.It's a slender beast. It looks very strange. It's full of spikes. It's about four meters long. Its hind legs are on the ground. Its spikes are all presented as black. But its eyes are strangely silver. The skin under the black spikes is also silver.

'I don't remember this on before? ', Tang Wulin thought.

"That's a thorn dragon. It has spatial attributes. Although it's more intimate with 'her', it doesn't mean it will treat you differently ", Jin informed.

ROAR!!

     The Tyrant dragon roared again. The other dragon, shivered and dissappeared. It reappeared again, and dropped something in from of the Tyrant dragon. The Tyrant dragon, picked it up and dropped it in front of Tang Wulin like a puppy.

"It's a leg soul bone, seemed to belong to a lightning leopard ", old Tang said. Hearing this, Tang Wulin was startled. Getting a soul bone was extremely rare, and the Tyrant dragon just casually gave it to him. It was not like this in his previous life. His eyes widened.

     The Tyrant dragon looked worried, seeing Tang Wulin's reaction. It didn't understand Tang Wulin's reaction. It glared at the thorn dragon and roared again. The thorn dragon shivered in fear and teleported away again.

      Leng Yaozhu was speechless at the sight. She was first worried when she saw the sudden appearance of the Tyrant dragon, away from the border. It was a great problem. The Tyrant dragon was known to be aggressive. It killed a title doulou who tried to assimilate it as his soul beast. She was worried that Tang Wulin would also suffer similar fate, but what she saw was shocking.

      The Tyrant dragon, known as the king of earth dragons, was acting like a puppy when Tang Wulin petted it. It even gave a soul bone to him. It was simply unheard of.

"Ma'am, all the lightning leopards are being hunted at an alarming rate!"

        Leng Yaozhu's was alarmed when she heard this. She quickly turned to another Monitor and saw the thorn dragon was hunting them like crazy.

"This is not how it went last time. And I don't remember seeing a thorn dragon as well", Tang spoke internally while petting the Tyrant dragon.

"Didn't I tell you, the element of time is the most mysterious of them all. If you can grasp even a portion of it, you can become a threat to anyone. You already know it right, how strong time element is. After all, your spear technique and your domain deals with time ", Jin replied.

      Suddenly, the thorn dragon appeared beside Tang Wulin. It kneeled down and dropped a purple object on the ground, and this object left Tang Wulin dumbstruck.

"Another soul bone?! Did Tyrant dragon send it out to hunt for it?!", Tang Wulin blurted out in shock. He looked at the dragons in front of him, who were intently staring at him, as if telling him to Integrate with those soul bones.
