84 Suspense

"Slave? No, I and my tribe are warriors who are directly under the orders of the Soul King. And your head and the heads of all your fellow aliens will allow my tribe to rise to become one of the strongest tribes in the universe," said Odysseus, as he opened his mouth for the first time in this universe, his eyes showing enormous determination.

"Anyway, this has nothing to do with a dead man," continued Odysseus as he tightened his grip on the Zaran high guard with more force.

"No, don't!" the latter shouted hurriedly, but unfortunately his wish would never be granted.

*pschit*

His head had exploded into thousands of pieces, while his brain fluid had even spilled over the mouth of Ulysses, scaring several thousand zarans present in the vicinity but most of them were just extremely enraged and they rushed towards Ulysses.

This confidence came from the twenty or so Zaran experts of rank (A-) and above who had just arrived on the battlefield.

"That's all I expected, it's really tiring to chase you when you run away." said Ulysses softly as a yellow glow shone in his brown eyes.

The next moment, 3 giant rocks materialized in the sky, then like asteroids, they rushed towards the enemy soldiers.

*boom*x3

The attack destroyed more than 70% of the enemy soldiers, and wounded more than 25% of them, the remaining 5% were either lucky or were experts of rank (C-) or higher.

Seeing the notifications of the experiments scroll by in his field of vision, Ulysses gave a very natural smile, which appeared to the survivors as that of a demon who had just finished his bloody masterpiece.

Unfortunately, they could not contemplate it any longer, for several bears in the vicinity gathered, and summoned spears of earth that rushed towards them, sweeping away a good part of the survivors of the previous attack.

This was followed by a rain of bullets and massive attacks from the sky by humans and ships. And finally, countless skeletons, former human slaves and soldiers rushed in and surrounded the few survivors, finishing them off completely, before rushing to another area of the battlefield.

This scene between Ulysses and the high ranking Zaran had in fact been repeated several times on the battlefield, which stretched over several dozen kilometers.

Whether it was Arthur, Edward, Victoria, Charles, Frederic, Piro or even Antonin and Eva, each of them had dramatically suppressed the morale of the Zaran army which had soared.

Arthur was simply riding Fulgur surrounded by a hundred lightning birds as he held the head of a high ranking Zaran while watching the Zarans in front of him.

Victoria stood next to Ulysses exhibiting a black aura no less than Ulysses'.

Charles and Frederick had simply pushed their way through the ranks of the zarans and were reaping their heads like reapers.

Piro on the other hand had simply annihilated all his enemies in one raw energy attack using the flames which were devastatingly powerful with his newfound skill.

Somehow, floating in the air and naturally surrounded by flame elements, he gave off an extremely intimidating presence.

While Antonin, in another area, had discreetly assassinated a high ranking officer before disappearing before the stunned eyes of some nearby Zaran soldiers.

From time to time, heads of Zarans fell to the ground very suddenly, including those of several ranks (C+) and above!

Thus, in this area, not only was morale low with the uninterrupted deaths of high-level Zaran soldiers, but their hand-to-hand performance was further diminished as they could not focus 100% on their combat since they still had to focus on their surroundings because of Antonin.

Edward and Eva found themselves surprisingly in the same battle zone, and with the help of a few generals and a hundred soldiers, they surprisingly managed to suppress several thousand Zarans including 20 ranks (C-), 15 ranks (C), 8 ranks (C+) and 3 ranks (B-)!

In some remote areas, generals and even some ordinary soldiers had done similar things by taking over several human squads belonging to Klavis with their own skills and skeletons.

And all this could be achieved because they all had the same conviction in one man!

They had the firm belief that even if the world fell apart, this man could still carry it for them!

At that moment, this man with black hair and ordinary face stood in the way of Bjig, Karlos, Orlac and 12 other Zaran experts of rank (A-) and above with a single rusty sword.

"Introduce yourself human!" ordered Bjig in an authoritative, though less imposing tone than Iram's.

They had been forced to stop momentarily out of caution in front of this man. Indeed, at that moment, this man gave off a frightening black aura!

But there was also something else very disturbing about William, his pupils had become completely white.

This striking contrast made him different from anyone Bjig, Karlos, Orlac and the other experts had ever known.

And, not understanding this phenomenon, it intimidated them slightly, because the unknown is and always will be extremely frightening.

Moreover, at that time William had a very peculiar temperament.

This was caused by his new skill [Awakening Humanity], although it added absolutely no combat power, just the visual aspect of it was useful.

"What a vulgar way to address a person for the first time," William replied with a slight smile.

"But either way, you can call me William, nice to meet you Zaran experts!" he continued, but his smile under that appearance, it made him look like a demon lord, slightly intimidating the Zaran experts.

After a small moment of silence, William thought for a moment and then said:

"You can also call me Soul King."

"Soul King?" asked Bjig instinctively.

"That's right." replied William still smiling as if he were talking with new friends.

"HAHAHA, what a joke! A rank (C-) dares to name himself by such a title, it's really not knowing the height of the sky and the width of the earth!" laughed Bjig as he finally detected William's rank despite the intense pressure he was giving off.

The laughter of the various Zaran experts also rang out in response.

No kidding, they had just participated in a battle that included 4 (S) ranks as well as 400 (A-) ranks and above and they had made it out alive despite the fact that in this battle 3 (S) ranks were seriously wounded, and yet they still managed to reap outstanding merits!

They were among the elite of the Zarans!

And now they were being bullied by a single human of rank (C-), what a joke that was!

Yet, seeing the pressure this human was giving off and the weirdness they were showing, they themselves knew that this human was already a huge threat, and if they didn't kill him now it would undoubtedly become a disaster for their race.

"Karlos, Orlac, take 4 men each and go finish off Oliver so that Teloria is still in one piece tomorrow morning. On my side I will take care of this rascal with the remaining 4 men" ordered Bjig.

In reply Karlos and Orlac simply nodded and went in the direction of the bald grandfather with the red beard.

In fact, Karlos and Orlac did not have to obey Bjig according to their nobility ranks, however Bjig was a bit stronger than both of them, and considering the situation, it would not be good to show their displeasure towards Bjig.

Indeed, whether it was Bjig, Karlos or Orlac they all had two black horns growing on their foreheads. In the Zaran civilization, the nobility was divided into 4 ranks, from the lowest to the highest: yellow, red, black and purple.

The other 12 elite experts were also nobles with two black horns, but the depth of color was much lower than the first 3. Indeed, there was still a hierarchy in each color, and it was divided according to the depth of the horn color.

When Karlos and Orlac had only gone a few dozen meters and had barely passed William, they heard:

"Did I allow you to leave?"

Karlos, Orlac and the rest of the experts turned around in surprise.

"Young man, I don't know if you are brave or just an idiot, but the power of numbers is not something you can underestimate," said Bjig, and surprisingly his tone did not seem to consider William as a mere rank (C-), but rather as his equal.

Indeed, Bjig did not discriminate on the basis of race, for him any brave person deserved respect, and it was for this very reason that he had joined the Zaran army originally.

"Karlos, Orlac ignore him and go kill the old man. I might even be able to hold back an (S-) rank for a few seconds, let alone a (C-) rank." continued Bjig.

Karlos and Orlac nodded in Bjig's direction, then turned to continue on their way, however a rain of attacks came down on them at exactly the same time.

*boom* x9882

Except for Karlos and Orlac, the 8 experts accompanying them were slightly injured by these attacks that came seemingly from nowhere.

Looking ahead, they saw countless skeletons bursting with a dark aura in front of them.

Various weapons were held in their hands, such as swords, shields, spears, etc.

However, among them there were 5 that stood out:

A skeleton wielding only a sword, but there was something in his temperament that differentiated him from all the others.

Another one was more than 2.5 meters tall but had no weapon.

The third held two swords in his skeletal hands, which was quite rare because using two swords at the same time does not necessarily make one person more powerful than another holding only one.

Moreover, the handling of two swords was much more difficult than any other weapon, and finally there was relatively little technique about it. So, although cool, swordsmen wielding two swords simultaneously were extremely rare.

Another one was holding a stick in his hand, while calmly positioning himself in the air, although he looked totally ordinary, all the experts present at the scene could detect something strange about him.

Finally the last one, more than 3 meters high, he was carrying an axe in his left hand and a halberd in his right hand, and strangely, it gave a strange feeling to the Zaran experts, as if they had seen him somewhere before. Moreover, he also had 2 black horns on his forehead.

At first, it was "the Master Swordsman who had dominated the world 50,000 years before", but now William had more information about it:

"Ivy, an elusive swordsman, no one knew where he came from but somehow he had landed on Teloria 50,000 years before. With the support of his rank (A-) and a formidable sword technique, he had caused the death of countless Zaran experts, nearly toppling control on the planet. Unfortunately, a Zaran lord of rank (S-) intervened, and killed Ivy, finally ending his dominance."

The second was the skeleton martial arts master who had played easily with the supreme generals in the hellish challenge: "Terry, the former master of a first-rate cult. His reputation was widespread throughout the galaxy and each of his punches could destroy a planet. His current power and skills are only a fraction of what he possessed before."

The third was Travis, whom William had met on the third floor of Hell: "Born on a random planet as a commoner, Travis had quickly made a name for himself as the ultimate genius of humanity. His talent with the sword was very rare, even in the universe. Unfortunately, he had been ambushed by a dozen (A) and a hundred (B) ranks on a battlefield when humanity was experiencing a meteoric rise in the universe under the influence of Kent Zerafie. According to the records, Travis was an extremely powerful Divine Warrior, capable of killing an (A)-ranked person one-on-one. But he had always hidden his strength, and in the ambush that caused his death, he had taken several (A) ranks and a dozen (B) ranks with his own strength to his grave. This monstrous strength was almost comparable to Kent at the same rank, which was one of the reasons for his untimely death. No one wanted to see a second Kent in the midst of humanity."

The fourth was the famous Kent: "Once the emperor of the human race in ancient times, Kent Zerafie had fought in the four corners of the universe and through fire and blood, he had managed to secure a position for the human race at the center of the universe. Because of his extraordinary strength, Kent was also in the top 3 of the greatest powers in the universe, and largely because of him, the human race had been propelled to the 9th position in the top 10 strongest species in the universe. (Only the Soul King can read this information.)"

And finally the 5th was Joker Myriam. "A general in the Zaran army, countless experts had high hopes for him. Everyone thought that once he reached the rank (A-), the destruction of humanity will accelerate further, unfortunately for them he met the Soul King before reaching his peak.

At that moment, Bjig, Karlos and Orlac and 12 other experts had an extremely dark expression. They all recognized the identity of the 5th skeleton, because they had all met him at least once before.

Moreover, it also meant that if only one of them died, then the young man in front of them would be able to somehow control their body and soul.

It wasn't just that. Nearly 10,000 warriors of rank (C-) or higher and with absolutely no fear of death were in front of them.

At least fifteen of them also had an aura not far from the first five.

They were the skeleton leaders of various camps that William had met on the third floor of Hell. All of them were geniuses of humanity with a potential not inferior to that of Travis and Kent, but all of them had perished before reaching their peak: assassination, ambush, illness, sacrifice for humanity, or even suicide.

While Iram was still blocked by Klavis, the experts of rank (A-) and above were totally blocked by William, and the remaining zarans were mostly pushed back under the leadership of the top generals, but the energy above Oliver was still growing, and had already reached the energy needed to kill any ordinary rank (B-) for two miles.

Will Klavis be able to hold Iram back long enough? Has William really evolved enough that he would be able to hold off 15 Zaran superpowers? Does a protector of humanity like Oliver really intend to destroy Teloria? Are the Zaran soldiers really on the verge of extinction, or is this just a ruse by the top brass to lure the human soldiers into a certain trap?
