5 The Force

Daren was filled to the brim with joy. Seeing something game-like truly made him want to go achievement hunting like he usually did. Once Daren had enough fun with a certain game, he would just chase after every achievement possible.

Game achievements gave Daren a sense of short-term accomplishment that he would find nowhere else except for when he successfully assassinated an emperor or president.

Games were his way of filling up the time when there were no active missions related to his grand scheme. Daren would sometimes even call upon the members of his organization to play with him as they were just as bored as he was.

The nostalgic memories did not hinder him long as he eagerly pulled up the description to the new ability.

Ability 6 - Worlds Greatest Map

This passive ability uses the memories of the user to be melded together to create a map that cannot be beaten. The map will also provide hidden features of an area on the map as long as the user personally travels through it.

"Hahaha. Celina, what the hell is this broken thing," asked Daren as he was laughing crazily in his head.

"As I said, I am NOT going to answer your questions about the system. It's too boring for me to do that. Plus, the descriptions are good enough anyway. That's why I said I wasn't going to give you a tutorial. Also, do NOT ask me about the game features."

Celina sounded angry and Daren was about to apologize to his new friend until she sent him another GIF.

This time, the GIF was of a blonde-haired anime girl. The girl was flipping her hair to the side while pouting.

'Heh. It looks like my friend a tsundere! I feel worried about my future!' Daren thought. He really should not have done that.

"I heard that." Ping! It was an angry face emoji this time.

Daren had totally forgotten Celina could read his mind. He truly f*cked up this time.

"Hey. My bad Celina but that was totally not my fault. My thoughts are uncontrollable. You were the one who sent that GIF in the first place."

Daren waited for a bit but Celina did not reply. She was going to give him the silent treatment. Daren accepted his punishment with reluctance because he could now feel that the unknown force had stopped spreading around his body.

The cool sensation was completed and Daren could feel a new type of energy entering his chest. The new energy was not like the cool feeling from before but rather a more warm and wild feel was being radiated.

Daren went into the knowledge that he had just absorbed from the tiger to find the explanation for this phenomenon. Daren first tried activating x1000 thinking but his head started to ache as soon he did that.

"Ahhhh. That hurt like hell. The system's warnings were not false. The usage of this skill makes me feel like it stabbed through my soul like it was a giant needle."

He then tried to control the multiplier.

He tested all sorts of multipliers from x700 to x2. The higher the pain, the higher the speed. The lower the speed, the lower the pain. Daren found that the best speed to pain ratio was x50 Thinking. The speed was nothing to scoff at and the pain was manageable.

Daren activated x50 Thinking and went through all of the tiger's memories and knowledge. This process only took about 30 seconds. With the regular strength of his soul and mind, Daren would need 25 minutes to complete this process.

You wonder why Daren didn't take that long to read Alex's memories and knowledge. Well in actuality, Daren was just looking for specific data from Alex's soul so he didn't have to sift through all of it. If he did look through all of it, it would have taken hours without the help of the system's abilities.

This was due to the tiger being only 2 months old. Compared to a 17-year old's knowledge, the beast lagged miles behind.

"Just as I predicted." Daren guessed what the wild energy was.

This was the feeling of his body absorbing what the people of this continent called 'force'.

More specifically, it was a special variant for beasts called beast force. Humans used something called elemental force but that was not exclusive to them. Any race could use elemental force as long they had a talent in a certain element.

Daren learned that beats could absorb beast force all the time. It just naturally flowed into them. This was unlike humans who had to concentrate immensely just to be able to cultivate anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours and to then not be able to do much but rest after that for a whole day.

"According to the Soul Talent Assimilation ability, I should now have the force talent of that beast. Doesn't that mean I am a human that can continuously get stronger for 24 hours? According to what I know so far, I am the only human that can do this from the start."

'Hahahaha. In my last life, I had to resort to tricks, schemes, and knowledge to get most of my plans to work. Rarely could I use my own strength as it was not enough? This time, I can actually take things into my own hands. This will be quite fun.'
