10 Innate Truths and Ryoku's Promise

In the bustling meister/weapon class, the air was filled with anticipation as students mingled, seeking potential soul bonds. The teacher, a forgettable figure in the background, observed from the front of the room. But the students' attention, including Endo and Ryoku, was drawn to the enigmatic presence of Frankenstein, lurking in the shadows of the corner.

Endo and Ryoku exchanged a nod, silently encouraging each other as they ventured to find their partners. Ryoku's energetic Spirit led him to engage in lively conversations, hoping to forge a soul resonance. However, as he interacted with different individuals, he found it increasingly difficult to establish a stable connection. Their wavelengths clashed, and the bond remained elusive.

Endo, on the other hand, moved with serene grace, effortlessly connecting with various students. His calming presence soothes their souls' turbulence, allowing for seamless resonances. Each encounter further solidified his conviction; he could see another layer of his abilities unfolding.

With a hint of madness glimmering in his eyes, Frankenstein watched Endo closely. As he approached, a dark glint passed through his gaze, his voice carrying an edge of fascination. "Endo, your soul possesses an amazing ability to adapt and harmonize with others effortlessly. It is a gift unlike any I've witnessed before."

Endo met Frankenstein's intense gaze, his expression calm and unwavering. "I appreciate your observation, Frankenstein-senpai. However, I believe it is merely a product of my nature rather than something extraordinary."

Frankenstein's grin widened, the madness dancing at the corners of his lips. "Oh, but you underestimate the power of your own soul, Endo. It has the uncanny ability to bridge the gap between individuals, harmonizing their wavelengths without effort. It is a rare and formidable gift."

"How about you come with me to my lab, and I will make sure to unlock all the mysteries that lay dormant in your body."

Endo's face remain unchanged though he was definitely off-put by the invitation.

Frankenstein stood from his chair and showed his towering 6ft'6 stature to my measly 4ft'8.

Putting a hand on my shoulder, he continued, "Endo, you should trust in your seniors. I will unlock your potential." A devilish smile flashes across his face as his eyes are unseen through the glimmer in his glasses.

Despite Frankenstein's invitation to his lab for further experiments, Endo politely declined, his calm demeanor unwavering. "Thank you for the offer, Frankenstein-senpai. However, I prefer to focus on honing my skills in the field rather than delving into the intricacies of my abilities. But I appreciate your interest."

Frankenstein's eyes sparkled with a mix of intrigue and disappointment. "Very well, Endo. The offer remains open should you ever change your mind. Your potential is something I cannot ignore." Then he simply left the room without saying another word to anyone.

With that, Endo and Ryoku continued their exploration of the meister/weapon class, sharing their experiences and discoveries with each other.

Akane and Clay were already partners, so the boys watched the class partner exercises for a while.

Ryoku, while still seeking a suitable partner, observed Endo with a mixture of awe and envy. "Your ability to connect with others so effortlessly is truly amazing, Endo."

Endo nodded, his calm smile conveying a sense of gratitude. "Thank you, Ryoku. But remember, true resonance goes beyond compatibility. It requires trust, understanding, and shared passion. So keep searching, and you will find the partner who complements you perfectly."

As the day drew to a close, the two boys left the class, their steps filled with determination and purpose. Today's revelations had deepened their understanding of their abilities, yet their journey was far from over.

As they walked through the halls of the DWMA, their footsteps echoed, a constant reminder of their chosen path. Finally, Spirit met them at the entrance, a proud smile on his face. "How was your first day, boys?"

Endo's eyes gleamed with a newfound determination. "It was enlightening. I discovered more about my abilities and witnessed the potential within myself and others."

Spirit nodded, his voice filled with pride. "That's excellent, Endo. Remember, take in everything you have learned. How about you, Ryoku?"

Ryoku, his excitement still palpable, chimed in. "Yeah! Today was amazing, even though I haven't found my partner yet. But I'll keep searching, just like Endo said."

Spirit placed a hand on Ryoku's shoulder, his voice gentle yet firm. "Ryoku, you have a lot of compassion. The right partner will come when the time is right. Trust in yourself."

"Yes!" Ryoku responded by doing a proper salute. Earned a giggle from Spirit and a small smile from Endo.

Back at home, Maka, Black Star, and Marianne welcomed them with open arms. They listened intently as Endo and Ryoku recounted their experiences, sharing their excitement and discoveries. Then, as boisterous as ever, Black Star exclaimed, "A star shines no matter where it is; this is nothing new! So pass the mashed potatoes, Maka!"

Annoyed, Maka passed Black Star the mashed potatoes, looked at Endo, and nodded. Her eyes filled with admiration. "Endo, you can create a soul resonance with anyone? Sounds like you can have a lot of weapon friends!" she giggled.

When dinner was over, and the boys settled into their bunk beds, Ryoku said, " Endo, I've been thinking...You are exceptional. A real genius, not like me. So keep walking the path where it leads you, and don't look back."

Endo didn't say anything, but his face was troubled.

Ryoku continued, "I may be behind you now, but I won't be forever. After that, you won't have to look back because I will walk beside you! Believe it!"
