1 Chapter 1

Yui's P.O.V

I woke up to the sun shining on my face, I looked at the time, 6:30. "I guess I should get up," I told myself. I got out of bed and did my morning routine. Afterward, it's about 7: 20 so I head off to school. I don't eat breakfast with the other girls usually. I just pick up a snack on our way there. While I was at the market place I saw a familiar face. It was Clay, he's in my class. Well, we're both weapons so it would make sense we would know each other. I turned around and walked the other so I wouldn't bump into them.

There basically junior agents, it makes me feel unworthy to be near them. But luck wasn't on my side when I felt something tap my shoulder. I turned around to see Clay. "Oh, hi," I said. "Hey, you're the weapon without a meister, right?" Clay asked. I became gloomy. "Is that what I'm known for at school?" I asked. "No no, I was just asking," Clay asked in a panic.

Then a guy with black hair came up and hit him on the head. "Sorry for my ignorant weapon," He said. "It's ok, that was bound to catch up to me one day," I said. "We want to ask you some questions," said the boy with black hair. "Oh, sure," I said. "Have you seen any weird lately?" Clay asked. "Besides human's turning into weapons, no," I answered. "But then again, I don't pay that much attention when I'm walking around," I added.

"Ok, thanks anyway," Clay said. "And you should consider looking at your surroundings, it's not that safe, especially with what's going on now," Clay added. "What's going on?" I asked. "We can't say," said the guy next to clay. "Oh, it's ok, I'll keep an eye out for the weird thing you guys are looking for," I said. "Thanks, see you in class," Clay said waving as he walks away.

I sighed. I have to find a partner, they won't let me become a death weapon if I don't if I'm on my own. I walked to school. Everyone seems to be taken thought. I walked to my locker and opened it, I pulled out some notebooks and pencils. I closed my locker and was about to walk to my class then I bumped into someone. "Oh sorry," I said. I looked up to see a guy with dark brown bowl-cut hair and red eyes. "It's fine, be careful next time," he said, walking away. I watched as he walked further and further away.

I've never seen him around before. The bell rang. Crap, I'm going to be late. I ran to my classroom. I opened the door to my class for weapons. "Miss Ishihara, you are late," said the teacher. "Sorry, I lost track of time," I said. "Since this is your first time, I will let you off with a warning," said the teacher. "Ok, thank you, sir," I said walking to my seat. On my way, I saw Clay looking at me. I tried my hardest not to smile.

As the class went on I kept zoning in and out. The guy I ran into earlier, if he's really was new then is he a weapon or a meister. When the class ended I walked out and went to the courtyard. The next class is for meister's so I have a free period. I usually use that time to practice using my weapon in human form.

I transformed my ponytail into a ball and chain. I twirled it around above my head. Then I tossed it. I can stretch to about 100 meters. I pulled it back and caught it with my hand.

I throw it again but this time it swung around a tree and while the ball landed on the ground making a dent in the ground. I transformed the ball and chain back to a ponytail. They transformed my fist into the ball. It was kinda heavy so I had a hard time punching with it.

I switched it in between my left and right hand. I felt like someone was watching me, so I looked around and saw no one. I went back to punching with my ball hand. But from the corner of my eye, I saw someone looking at me from one of the classes. I didn't want them to know I was looking so I didn't look over.

I was so distracted with those two things I didn't notice someone walking up behind me. "Um, excuse me?" someone tapped my shoulder. I got scared and swung my and hand the ball on it. Luckily for the girl, she ducked before it hit her. "Oh, sorry, I was distracted with my training," I said. "it's ok, I should have made myself known," the girl said. "I'm Tsugumi Harudori, and you must be Ishihara," The girl said. "Actually it's Yui, my first name is Yui," I said. "That's pretty," Tsugumi said.

"Thanks, so did you need something?" I asked. "Oh, yes, I was wondering if you would tell me how you were able to activate your weapon and with different parts of your body," Tsugumi said. "Well it's pretty easy, since I still don't have a partner I have to leat how to fend for myself, just picture your weapon in your head, then you have to think about how you want to use it," I explained. "Like if I want to get someone who's way over there," I said pointing to a tree.

"Think of my weapon then," My ponytail turned into a ball and chain, I grabbed it and threw it at the tree creating a hole in it. "Wow," Tsugumi exclaimed.

"Yep, now you try," I said as my ponytail transformed back.

Tsugumi took a deep breath and out. Her leg transformed into what looks like the synth but it had no sharp blade. Then she fell down. "Oh, ok, that was good," I said. "At least you got the weapon part right," I said helping her up. "How can you control it so well?" Tsugumi said. "Honestly, I've been practicing since I found out I was a weapon, I was transferred here a couple of days after I found out I was a weapon," I chuckled.

"And you don't miss your family?" Tsugumi asked. "Every day, but I know that what I'm doing is going to help the world, including my family," I explained. "And if I'm lucky I'll see them when I visit," I added. Tsugumi looked up at me with all. "You have a good view of things," Tsugumi said wiping her tears. "Well, thanks for the advice, I'll practice that," Tsugumi said.

"Good, if you need any more help just tell me," I said. Tsugumi nodded and walked away waving. I was about to go back to training but the bell rang. Have I been talking to her that long? I guess I should go to lunch, the next class is where I have to practice with a partner. I walked to the cafeteria and got my lunch, and sit at an empty table. I don't really sit by anyone in particular. I was eating my lunch when someone walked up to me. "Can I sit here?" he asked.

I looked up to see the guy I bumped into earlier. "Um, sure," I said. He sat in front of me and started eating. We sat in silence the whole time, I looked up at him from time to time but he was focusing on food. I felt awkward. When lunch was over I quickly made my way to my class, but I was stopped by Sid.

"Death wants to have a word with you," He said. I nodded. I followed Sid to Death's chamber. I will admit I was nervous, what if I get kicked out. As we got closer, I saw three people there. They turned around we got closer. "Hey Yui," Maka waved. "Hey Maka, do you know what, " I asked. ThenDeath popped out of the ground.

I was about to scream but I held it in. "Yui Ishihara, the weapon how couldn't find herself a meister," The cloth said. I crouched down in a corner with a gloomy aura around me. "Wasn't that a little harsh sir?" Maka asked. "Was it? Whups my bad," The Death said. "If I may ask, why did you call for me?" I asked.

"I have been monitoring your progress as a weapon, and I thought it was about time you transfer to the EAT class and start going on missions," Death said. I looked at him in shock. "B-but I thought I couldn't go on missions until I found a meister," I said. "That's why this gentleman is here," Death said as a big hand gestured towards the boy I forgot was here. "Please introduce yourself," Death said.

"My name is Katashi Takahashi, I am a meister," he said. "I'm Yui Ishihara, as you heard," I said. There was an awkward silence. "So, you're my meister?" I asked. "Seems like it," Takeo said. "Have you ever wielded a weapon before?" I asked. "No," he answered briefly. There was a long silence.

"Well, run along you two, you get the rest of the day off so use it wisely goodbye," Death said pushing us out.
