1 Who Am I?

"Sorry Ma'am. We can not accept you to our university."

Christi had her hopes high for this University, but it looked like she failed again.

Polietly saying Goodbye, Christi left and found herself returning to home.

She was about to cross the road when a car suddenly screeched in front of her. Managing in time, Christi didn't get in an accident.

"Can't you watch where you're going?" Christi was feeling furious. How could the day be so bad? First the university and now this!

Afterwards, a tall man came out of the car and said

"Sorry Miss. But my Boss says it was you who first went in our way."

Christi got angry immediately and went to the car window where the 'boss' was sitting.

"What the heck man? You can't just say that to a person who nearly could have died!"

The window slowly slid down and a very cold faced man could be seen.

He turned to Christi and calmly, but with strong meaning asked.

"And who do you think you are?"

Christi stammered for a moment. She had no job, couldn't study and had no parents. So she calmly replied back, but without thinking.

"I am Christi."

The man laughed and took his sunglasses off.

"I never asked for your name! I asked for your level in the community."

Christi starred at the man in disgust, who was he and why was he being so 'highly levelled'?

"Well sir, if you are in a high level, I obviously don't care, but I think you owe me an apology."

The man smiled , a threatening smile and said:

"Then you must work for me 24/7 non stop."

"Are you crazy? No way ! You can't just make people your slaves for them to earn what is rightfully theirs!"

The man smirked and said something that sounded like 'Too bad' and drove away.

Christi gave out a sigh and went back home.

The next day, a mail was sent to her saying:

Dear Miss Christi Campbell,

Congratulations!

You have earned a job here at Evans, please contact the number below to accept.

*** **** 091

Kind Regards

William Evans

Christi couldn't remeber applying for a job, but on the other hand, she knew at least had a job.

Christi called the number below and asked them,

"Sorry, but what exactly is my job there?"

"Well, you're about to find out!"

The next day she arrived at Evans company by bus to meet the boss and hear the directions.

When the boss came in she gasped. It was the same man as last night!

Christi stood up quickly and pointed at the man.

"Why... it's you! I didn't book for this, you did it, right? You haven't even said sorry!"

"My driver did."

Christi was opening and closing her mouth like a goldfish.

"Please sit down, and do stop acting like an idiot."

Christi calmly sat down and this man started talking.

"I am William Evans, and I own this company for entertainment in social media ."

"You mean actors and singers and stuff like that."

He nodded.

"Yes, correct."

"And I guess you'll use me as some kind of manager or assistant."

He shook his head.

"No."

Christi was very confused.

"Then what?"

"Miss Campbell, have you ever noticed your face, the body and the way you talk?"

Christi slightly blushed.

"No?"

He gave a mysterious smile.

"You have the power to flatter people by your face, body and voice. I'm pretty sure you will be a fantastic singer."

Christi gasped.

'Me? What?'

"But... don't I have to audition?"

"Miss Campbell, you have been trying to apply a bachelor course on music university. I am sure you'll easily pass an audition. Why are you so worried about it?"

He gave a slight smile when he said this, and went into a frown.

Spluttering, Christi answered.

"Sorry, I... I have failed too many people... so I try my very best not to make miatakes... but people just... think I won't achieve."

Trey frowned for a while.

"So what I am saying is, I'll probably be not good at things. But..."

"But...?"

Christi's face lightened up.

"But I'll try my best sir."

He then whispered.

"That's a good girl, but from now on, call me William."

Shivers went down Christi's spine, she tried to relax so she grabbed for her bag.

"Anything the matter?"

Christi looked as if she would explode and quickly swallowed a pill.

"Sorry.. it's my anxiety pills..."

William nodded calmly but with thinking.

"Anythimg else to say?"

"When will the audition be?"

"Today."

"What? You don't mean I will audition right now!"

"Oh yes. You will. Please state your name, age and region."

"Christi Campbell, 26, London, England."

"Good. Now please state why you want to be a musician."

"I'vr always loved music since I was young, the beat. tempo and pitch was like an imaginary world to me. After the car... I mean huge accident, I couldn't speak for a few weeks, but I gained my knowledge back by music. My favourite singers are Sia and Anne-Marie. They helped me improve my health, and after a few weeks, I could speak again."

"Not my kind of taste of lecture, but very touching Miss Campbell."

Christi smiled sweetly and said Thank you.

After a whole lot of singing, Christi got a job in Evans and was about to get famous.

She shook hands with William and was about to leave when...
