10 What is this?

"Mother, when did me and Hee Joo have this type of marriage?" Yoo Jin asked.

"Ahh, Yoo Jin. You and our daughter had this marriage since you guys were kids. Your parents and us made this together," as auntie Kim answers his question.

On the other hand, Hee Joo stood there not knowing what to say. She just wants to reverse back time and wish she hadn't come to this world. "Hee Joo don't just stand there. Come over here," as her dad calls out to her.

Hee Joo walks over and greets Yoo Jin's parents. 'This must be crazy. I can't marry this guy. I would rather die,' as she thought while looking at Yoo Jin. "Look at these two kids, always like this." Yoo Jin's mother laughs.

"I object to this marriage," as Jung-Hwa called out. Everyone stares at him as he stands up. "Jung-Hwa sits down right now," as his mom commands him. Jung-hwa didn't and turned around to face Yoo Jin's parents. "I'm sorry Uncle Yoo and Aunt Yoo. I can't let my sister marry someone who can't even protect her life." Both sides of the parents are confused, "My son is a general and there are so many soldiers. How can my son not be able to protect Hee Joo?" as uncle Yoo responds.

"Uncle Yoo, you must have not known. Just a few weeks ago, my sister was still laying in the hospital bed. It was because of your son, that my sister got hurt." Both sides of the parents were shocked and aunt Kim quickly stood up. "How come you didn't tell us?" as she exclaimed. Jung-Hwa turns around, "mother I didn't want you guys to be worried."

"How could you not tell us when something big happened like this?!!" as she yells. Yoo Jin got up and faced them. "Sorry uncle Kim and aunt Kim, it's my fault that I didn't take good care and protect Hee Joo," he bows to them deeply. She looked at him angrily and gave him a stare.

Aunt Yoo walks up to aunt Kim and tries to comfort her. "Jang-Mi, I'm very sorry that my son has caused your daughter to get hurt. I'll make sure to discipline him. Try not to get mad and ruin the mood." Aunt Kim looks at her, "how could I calm down and not be mad. It's your son who causes my daughter to get hurt. " The father stood up and took out a whip from the shelf. "Kneel down," as he yells at Yoo Jin.

Hee Joo hearts jumps and nervously looks at Yoo Jin as he kneels down.

"husband , what are you doing?" as aunt Yoo asked. "I'm teaching him a lesson. How could he have let someone in when there's so many soldiers and people. Unfortunately, he isn't doing his job correctly." Uncle Yoo looks at Yoo Jin with cold eyes.

Yoo Jin didn't say anything and kneels in front of his father. He raises the whip and it hits Yoo Jin right at the back. That sound was hard, loud, and harsh. Hee Joo watches as her goosebumps come up and hands sweating. This isn't what she wanted to see, but she doesn't know how to stop it.

He hits Yoo Jin two more times and Hee Joo could see blood coming out and leaking through his shirt already. As he raised his whip and was about to hit it down, Hee Joo ran up and came in front of Yoo Jin.

"PLEASE STOP!" as Hee Joo's eyes are close with arms wide open protecting him.

Hee Joo's mouth is dry, but she manages to open her mouth to speak. "Uncle Yoo, Yoo Jin is wrong but it's not all his fault. I did get hurt, but I'm all fine right now. Can you stop hitting him?" as Hee Joo said with a worry face.

"Even though you are fine right now, then what about the future? I don't want him to be a man with no responsibility when it comes to his own woman and the people that he's gonna protect. This is not what I want him to be," as Uncle Yoo says looking at Hee Joo.

Hee Joo puts her arm down and looks at Yoo Jin, "Uncle, Yoo Jin is a responsible man. Even though he could be a bit or even very annoying sometimes, he is still a very good general. He doesn't take any sides and is a very straight and nice man." Uncle Yoo puts down the whip and looks at Yoo Jin. "About the marriage between me and him, can we not talk about that right now?" as Hee Joo saids. "I'm still not ready yet and I still want to stay by my parents sides for a while first." Uncle Yoo looks at his wife and they seem to find an agreement. "Okay, we'll move it for the side right now if your parents are fine with it too." Hee Joo looks at them and they both give her a smile.

After both sides of the parents left, Hee Joo went upstairs to Yoo Jin's room. Son-ho has told Hee Joo to go check on Yoo Jin's wounds. She takes a deep breath and knocks on the door.

"Come in."

Hee Joo turned on the door knobs and saw Yoo Jin sitting on his chair, and writing some things down. He looks up and looks back down. "Why are you here?" Hee Joo walks in holding the first aid box. "I came to see your wounds." She puts the box down on the wounds and looks at Yoo Jin. Yoo Jin puts down the book and starts unbuttoning his shirt. "What are you doing?" as Hee Joo looks away. "How am I supposed to show you my wounds if I don't unbutton my wounds."

'Oh right,' Hee Joo slowly turns around and walks over to him. The wounds are deep and red. The blood is still there and seeing it makes her heart hurt. "Does it hurt?" as Hee Joo asks? Yoo Jin laughs. "I've gone through more than this. If I can't handle these kinds of pain then how could I lead the whole army." Hee Joo takes out the medicine, "it might hurt a bit. So if it does, tell me." She slightly dabs the medicine into his wound and Yoo Jin didn't make any sounds. 'How could he handle this,' as Hee Joo wonders.

"Why did you help me back there?" as Yoo Jin asks.

Hee Joo stops dabbing and thinks for a second. "I don't know. I just don't want you to die yet. I still haven't made you eat all your disliked food yet." Yoo Jin smirks and suddenly grabs Hee Joo's hands, and pulls her to his lap.

"What are you doing?"
