54 Boredom

Days passed by and nothing remarkable happened. Everyone just went on with their lives normally.

The Barrons' seemed to be as peaceful as always, only, if you would disregard the sudden increase of guards.

The mother and father pair decided to toughen up the security around the mansion especially just for their precious daughter.

Meanwhile, the daughter, the reason for all those changes, almost died from boredom.

Sorcha has recovered completely without any complications. Right now, she's stuck inside the mansion with nothing to do, especially when it is already her school's vacation.

Everything she does was being monitored. Everytime she goes out of the mansion, she would be accompanied by a complete entourage of bodyguards. The experience made her a bit uncomfortable. So, instead of going out, she tried inviting her friends in their house. Unfortunately for her, each of their families already have plans for this vacation.

It's not that she's complaining about the arrangements her parents made though. It's just that, every time she's outside, everyone would look at her as if she's a rare kind of species that has become almost extinct! So, she can only grumble internally and keep all her grievances inside.

Fortunately, her father finally decided that she's ready once again for training. When Anthony Barrons told her about this, she almost kneeled down before him for saving her from boredom. Of course, that's an exaggeration for that is out of her character... *Coughs*

On the other hand, her father almost jumped from fright when he saw his daughter's reaction about it...

So, now that Sorcha is back in shape, she especially asked her father to add training in using guns.

She haven't forgotten about how those guns threatened her life so much. And how she's too green to use them. She even hesitated to use them while in danger. She doesn't want to hurt innocent people by trying her luck in using it, and she has become a bit repulsive about killing people in this world. She realized that living in a very peaceful environment affected her personality so much.

In using guns, aside from knowing that she needs to point it into a target before pulling the trigger, she doesn't have anymore knowledge about it. What more, knowing that little piece of general information doesn't necessarily mean that you can use a gun already. It's not that easy.

Anthony thought about her request for a while before eventually agreeing.

So he planned to bring her into the army barracks, intending for professional trainers to teach her.

When Aria Barrons' found out about it, she immediately scolded her husband for taking away her time with her daughter. The result was him having to sleep on the couch... But since Anthony already promised his daughter, he couldn't do anything about it anymore.

While Sorcha was sleeping soundly on her bed dreaming about her training, her father can only lie on the couch obediently...
