84 Peace never lasts

While no on disturbed the peace they had for more than five years, the hollowness in Speranza's heart never filled up. While she smiled the backlight in her eyes shined without any joy. Soon near dusk, the caravan reached the little meadows where Speranza and her group had been living.

The group went to meet the caravan before they entered the meadows. At the edge of the protective barrier.

An older man who rode on an ox cart gestured to the rest to stop while younger men walked forward to greet them.
