4 Buster

It was pretty normal for a Saturday afternoon. That was, until Eggman's robot almost attacked a random ice cream stand. Sonic sped forward and saved the customer. He hopped up and turned to Penny and the others. "Dr. Eggman's evil fireman robot is running loose!" Sonic announced.

"How did you know that super evil robot is mine?" Eggman said.

Sonic swooped down and pulled another punch on the robot before turning to the scientist. "I don't know, experience?" He asked.

Sonic dodged the robot's fire and pushed Penny out of the way before the robot could hit her.

"You ok?" Sonic asked.

"I'm fine! Thanks." Penny smiled. Sonic winked at the human girl before dashing off to destroy the robot.

"Looks like you're fired, pal!" Knuckles laughed, holding a wooden log. "Get it?!"

Penny smiled at Knuckles, chuckling as the fire burnt down his stick. "Ugh..." He groaned.

"Shouldn't firemen put out fires?" Amy questioned.

"Amy's right." Penny said, walking up to stand next to the pink hedgehog. The two smirked then high fived each other.

"Hello, that's the irony!" Eggman growled. "It's the evil opposite of a fireman."

Sonic turned and glared at the scientist. "I assume..." Eggman gulped before returning to his comic.

"Sonic," Sticks called to the hedgehog. "Dr. Eggman's fire robot is putting a baby walrus into the burning house!"

Sonic sped forwards and grabbed the baby before anything happened to it. He landed swiftly on the ground and handed the little troublemaker to its mother, who caressed it tenderly.

"SONIC!" Tails cried. "Evil anti-fire robot is putting a little kitten in a tree!"

"GO, EVIL FIRE BOT!" Eggman cheered. He heard grunting and turned to see Amy, Sticks, Knuckles, Tails, and Penny glaring at him.

"Ok, I admit it, it's my evil robot, so what if I do!" Eggman said, defending himself. "Why stop it? You're good at that!"

Eggman's robot continued to fire at the villagers. Having enough, it turned to Penny, and readied its fire weapon. The girl stood there, frozen in terror, unable to move a single muscle.

"Penny!" Sticks and Tails cried.

Sonic growled. "This has gone on long enough," he said. He zoomed over, pushed Penny away, and tied one of its wires around the bot, causing the robot to explode on the inside.

Eggman began to stutter. "I...uh... left the oven on." He ran off.

Sonic turned to me. Penny was shaking, still a little shocked. "You ok?" Sonic asked, putting a hand on her shoulder. Penny nodded, smiling up at Sonic.

"Thanks."

To lighten up the mood, the blue hedgehog smirked at the human girl and pointed to the robot.

"Hu. Looks like that robot is fired!"

The girls, Tails, and Penny laughed out loud.

"Hey!" Knuckles said. "No one laughed when I said it."

A meow was heard, as they could tell the poor little kitty was still stuck in the tree.

"Sticks, could you get that kitten out of the tree?" Sonic asked.

"Sure thing, Sonic." The badger smiled as she walked up to the tree trunk and instead of climbing it to rescue the kitty, she started... no... shaking it!

"Uh... Sticks..." Sonic and Penny hurried over, but Sticks continued shaking the tree.

"Sticks!" Sonic exclaimed again.

"STICKS!" Penny yelled.

The frightened kitten finally fell into Penny's arms, and it smiled at her, and Penny hugged it tightly, petting its smooth fur. Sonic glared at the female badger.

Sticks looked at them curiously. "What?"

At Amy's shack after the battle, Penny, Sonic, and friends were talking about Sticks and how she treated animals.

"Sticks, we want to talk about how you treat animals." Sonic said, frowning at the girl.

"It's not a good idea to shake kittens out of trees." Penny said.

"Penny's right." Amy said in agreement.

"I know the law of the jungle!" Sticks proclaimed. "Trees are no kitten zones!"

"That's a real law?" Knuckles asked in confusion, scratching his chin. Tails sighed in annoyance.

"You should get a pet!" Amy smiled. "It will help you to learn to love animals!" She turned to me and Sonic. "Don't you think so, Sonic and Penny?"

"I agree with Amy." Penny grinned.

"Yes. Absolutely." Sonic smiled.

"Then you can take Sticks pet shopping right now!"

"Nope. Absolutely not." Sonic said.

Eventually, Penny managed to get Sonic to agree to come with her and Sticks to the pet store. Sticks looked annoyed, and she said, "I hate cute, fuzzy, and adorable!" She said. She turned to squirrels. "See? Too cute!" She turned to a little bunny. "Too fuzzy!" She finally turned to monkeys. "Too.. Adorable!"

Sonic, Sticks, and Penny left the shop. "Well, that went well." Sonic smirked at Penny, crossing his arms.

"Well, what did you expect was gonna happen?" Penny asked teasingly.

Something rattled in the nearest trashcan, and Sticks looked inside it. Sticks dug through it and grabbed a little robot dog, covered in... green slime?

"Its'...." she began. "Its'...."

"Disgusting?" Sonic asked. Penny chuckled.

"The least objectionable option!" Sticks smiled lovingly at the robot dog. "Awww. Who's a little cluster wuster?" She asked. The robotic dog barked in response.

"I'm gonna call him Buster!" She smiled.

Sonic stared at her. "Buster... the Cluster?" He asked. Buster spat green slime on Sonic's face.

Sticks hugged the dog to her face, and Buster whined happily.

"Ok, I did not see that coming." Penny said, putting an hand on her shoulder and pointing to the dog.

At Stick's shack, Sticks watched lovingly as Buster walked around, leaving small trails of green slime everywhere.

"Sticks, when I said, 'get a pet,' I didn't think you'd come back with something so...." Amy cringed in disgust.

"Wonderful?" Sticks asked, smiling at her friends. Buster gnawed at the bone Sticks gave him, and he tossed it to the ground, spilling more green slime.

"Yucky." Knuckles grunted in disgust.

"I honestly agree with you, Knuckles." Penny said, grimacing at the green slime everywhere.

"Sticks," Sonic began, "Are you sure you want to keep this... cluster?"

"Ahem." Sticks frowned at Sonic. "It's BUSTER." She said. She picked Buster up. "Finally, I have an adorable little pet that doesn't disgust me!" Buster whimpered a little, then barfed up green slime on Tails.

"Eww. Buster got slime on my fur!" Tails complained, glaring at Sticks and the dog.

"That just means he loves you." Sticks smiled, giving the dog a slurpy kiss, and ended up getting her mouth covered in green slime.

Penny snarled in disgust.

Things got worse. Amy and Penny got themselves ice cream, and Buster ate theirs, and got green slime on the cones.

Both girls groaned in annoyance.

Buster hopped in Sticks's arms, and Sticks smiled, petting him.

Later, when Sonic and Penny were on a run together, Buster got in the way and made Penny trip. Sonic slipped on the green slime, and groaned in pain.

"You ok?" Penny asked him, turning into a sitting position.

"Ugh...." Sonic groaned. Buster licked Sonic's face, leaving green slime on him.

Knuckles was exercising with his weights when Buster got in the way, slurping green slime on the echidna's face. Knuckles grunted in disgust as he tried to lift weights.

Tails seemed to have a problem with Buster, too. Tails grunted in annoyance as Buster ate a ball and spat more slime.

Later, Penny and the others were all sitting at Meh Burger, looking like they weren't hungry. Why? Because Sticks's annoying Cluster was getting in the way of EVERYTHING.

"Who's a hungry little cluster?" Sticks asked lovingly at Buster, who grunted out more slime.

"Would Buster want a French fry?" Tails asked sarcastically. "Because I don't want them. Why? BECAUSE THEY GOT SLIME ALL OVER THEM!!

"Ah, no no na!" Sticks smiled. "We only eat organic garbage now, don't we, Buster?" Sticks smiled.

Suddenly, someone ran out of the nearest warehouse, yelling: "HELP! Someone is robbing the Danger-Co Deadly Equipment Warehouse!" He paused, saying, "Seriously. HELP!" He cried, running away.

An explosion came from the warehouse, and coming out of it, were Eggman's robots wearing terribly-but-good drawing masks of Sonic and Tails. "Cybernetic tentacles: Check. Deadly Nano bots: Check! Evil spare parts: Check!" The square-like robot wearing the Tails mask said. He turned to the bee bots, who were carrying the objects in a net, and smiled. "These people have everything!"

Sonic sped forward, and stopped in shock to see Orbot wearing a Sonic mask, and Cubot wearing a Tails mask.

"It's Sonic!" Orbot said in a panic. "Let's grab the boxes and go!"

"Tank-bots!" Cubot ordered. "You take care of them!"

Sonic swatted them away and noticed the bees flying towards Penny. He ran over and stood in front of the human girl, protecting her from any lasers as she covered my head.

"We've got to get them back!" Sonic told his teammates, as he kicked a robot before it reached Penny. "Someone stop them!"

"I got 'em!" Knuckles said, running over to the bees. Amy and Tails soon joined them.

"Quick, Sticks!" Sonic called, "Run around back and head them off!"

"I don't want to put Buster in danger!" Sticks cried, hugging the cluster dog protectively.

"Let's just walk home." Sticks placed a leash on the dog, and began to walk home.

Sonic left me for a split second, and began to follow Orbot and Cubot. Very curious about the fight, Buster ran over, caused Sonic to trip and get slime all over him.

At Tails's home this time, Penny, Sonic, and the others sat around a couch together and glared at Buster.

"We have to talk." Amy said.

"Oh, no." Sticks held Buster close.

"I'm afraid so, Sticks." Sonic frowned.

"I bought him a Cluster sock for a one week anniversary!" Sticks held a sock and presented it to the dog.

"NO!" Amy frowned. "Buster's getting in the way with everything!"

"He ruined our chance to stop those robots!" Knuckles said.

"He got SLIME all over my equipment!" Tails complained.

"First you say you want me to have a pet, then you say you don't want me to have a pet!" Sticks said angrily, holding Buster close to her. I know what's going on here, unless it's GOVERNMENT MIND CONTROLLING EXPERIMENT!" She screamed.

"That's... one theory. The other is that we just want you to discipline him... wuah!" Amy screamed as Buster tossed slime on her.

"FORGET IT!" She screamed angrily. "Either Buster goes, or WE DO!"

"Well, if Buster goes, I GO!" Sticks said. She picked up Buster and caressed him again. "AND I'M. NOT. GOING!"

"Hu, I guess that means we go. C'mon, Penny, guys," Sonic took Penny's hand and they all headed out the shack.

"Wait. This is my house." Tails said in realization.

Suddenly, Eggman popped in the front door. "Hello!" He smiled. "I was just stopping by with a present for your little Buster."

Everyone's mouths dropped open and eyes popped in realization. Sonic glared at Eggman and once again stood in front of Penny protectively.

"A present? For Buster?" Sticks asked excitedly.

"Since little Buster here was created in my lab, I still feel like a father to him!"

"Wait. You created Buster?" Sonic asked, not sure he was hearing this correctly.

"That explains the green slime!" Penny said in disgust.

"I did. Now, I want to give him this little present!" Eggman opened the box and placed it on the table. In the box was a peculiar robotic-like bone.

"Wait a minute. Are you sure this little cluster isn't just another evil robot built to destroy..." Sonic began, but stopped mid sentence when Buster hopped out of Stick's arms and grabbed the bone, and started chewing it in its jaws.

"No, it's not another evil robot." Eggman smirked. "It's an evil SLIME bot. It's a totally different thing. A slime bot is a robot covered in disgusting goo!"

Soon, Buster ate the bone, and he started to transform. His eyes turned red and tentacles started forming out of his body.

"Oh boy..." Sonic muttered, now standing in front of me. My eyes widened in shock and terror.

Sticks just stared at Buster in shock.

Sonic protected Penny from an upcoming arm by dodging it and pushing the girl out of the way. "I that the tentacle arm thingy you stole from the warehouse?" Sonic asked fiercely.

"Oh, please. I used that tentacle as a back scratcher. When it was done scratching, I used it to build him."

Sonic dodged the arms that moved toward him. "Ok, guys, I think I'm gonna need a little help with the cluster..."

"NO! Don't make me hurt my beloved Buster!" Sticks cried.

"I never liked him much." Knuckles said as he ran towards Buster. He grunted as he did a powerful punch on the ground, and Buster glared at him. "Nice Buster...." Knuckles said nervously. "I meant, I never got to know." He yelped as Buster wrapped one of his arms around Knuckles.

"Alright, Buster, the hammer is coming down!" Amy smirked as she ran over, but got herself wrapped up in one of the arms as well.

Then, he grabbed Penny and Tails.

Sonic growled. He had enough of this! He darted around Buster, hopped on a table, making it fly through the air and break through one of the arms... but it grew back!

"SONIC, WATCH OUT!" Penny called from the robot's arm. Penny watched as Sonic tried to dodge the arms, and got trapped himself.

"Good boy, Cluster-bot!" Eggman smiled. "Now, GET HER!" He pointed at Sticks.

"STICKS!" Sonic yelled, struggling. "Buster won't attack you!"

"Awww." Sticks cooed. "That's sweet."

"No, Sonic means if there's any way to stop him, now's the time! And you're the only one who can reach him!" Penny translated what Sonic said to the girl. Penny grunted in pain as the arm wrapped around the girl tighter.

"Buster!" Sticks scolded the dog. "Don't do this! You're good inside! Remember all the times we had?"

Buster thought of them, but shook his head.

"Yeah, I don't remember any of that, either." Sticks said.

"And now, my cluster friend, FINISH THEM!" Eggman smirked.

Buster turned to Penny, and the human girl struggled harder. The robotic dog was about to eat Penny alive, when...

"BUSTER! NO!"

Buster stopped, and turned to Sticks. Penny breathed a sigh of relief, her heart pounding.

"NO EAT FRIENDS! BAD CLUSTER! BAD!" Sticks yelled.

"What? NO! GOOD CLUSTER! EAT FRIENDS!" Eggman tried.

"Buster, sit!"

"NO, STAND! BE EVIL!"

Sticks glared at Buster, and Buster soon got the point, and dropped Sticks's friends to the ground. Sonic hurried over to the human girl. "Are you ok?" He asked.

"I'm fine." Penny said, wiping off the slime.

Buster's eyes turned back to its normal green.

"NO!" Eggman cried.

"Buster?" Sticks asked. "Take out the trash!"

Eggman screamed as Buster grabbed him by the leg with one of his tentacles. "I'm NEVER MAKING ONE OF THESE AGAIN!" He screamed as he flew off.

Once Eggman was gone, Sticks smiled at Buster. "Now, hand the bone back...."

Buster spat out the bone, and he returned to normal. Sticks smiled lovingly at Buster, and petted him gently. "Good Cluster!" She smiled.

Buster spat green slime in response, causing Penny and the others to laugh.

Sticks smiled warmly at her friends.

Soon, though, Sticks had to say good bye to Buster. Poor Sticks was heartbroken. "Buster, turns out you were an evil robot." She said, caressing him. "I guess... this is goodbye." She gave him a little bag on a stick, and set him off. "Have fun out there in the big world." Sticks said sadly.

"Hey, guys, I found this giant octopus! Can I keep it?" Tails asked.

"He looks cool, Tails!" Penny smiled, walking over.

"I know, right, Penny?"

To Penny's shock, the octopus snatched the fox and put him in its mouth.

"I changed my mind. PENNY! HELP!" He cried.

Penny chuckled in amusement.
