Act 3-3 Chemical Plant

Knuckles punches a Badnik maker, destroying it in pieces allowing several small animals to escape. While Sonic was fighting Robotnik, he took it upon himself to rescue every creature in the plant. It was the best way he had to save his land. While he tearing off thr metal carcasses around some birds, he hears a loud bang and looks up to see Sonic and Robotnik fighting.

Knuckles: "Oh no!"

Sonic was pushed by an explosion towards the Death Egg Robot. Robotnik had launched a rocket at him. Sonic dodged it, but the explosion wave caught him. He hit the Death Egg's metal chest, being then punched back. Sonic got up with some difficulty and tried to run at him again, homing his dash against the glass head. Still no effect. Robotnik tried to catch him, but this time Sonic, expected it, dodging the strike. If he couldn't damage the robot, how was he going to win this? He then remembered. He wasn't there to fight Robotnik, he was there to save Tails.

He stomped to the ground and ran circles across the capsule Tails was stuck in. Robotnik tried to follow him, but his Death Egg wasn't that fast, it was too big to follow Sonic accuratelly. He only had one option, fire and punch everywhere Sonic ran, and try to stop him from running away.

Explosions, wreckage, shockwaves erupted everywhere the Death Egg hit. Sonic ran across flying steel beams, slid on rails, avoiding it all, until landing on top of Tails' capsule. The Death Egg hit it with a downwards punch. The windows on the side broke from the impact, and Tails was freed from the Emerald's control. Sonic homed towards it, grabbing Tails. He ran with him on his arms, before stopping underneath some fallen steel beams out of Robotnik's sight.

Robotnik: "Where did that pest go?"

Sonic, while worried for his friend, asked him:

Sonic: "You okay, buddy?", Two yellow birds landed besides Tails. Sonic looked at them. "You too helped Tails survive that, didn't you? Thanks, guys. Now get out of here. It's too dangerous."

The two birds, who had absorbed part of the Chaos energy, keeping it from overwhelming Tails, flew away. Robotnik gritted his teeth. He had been fooled by Sonic, but he wasn't going to let him get away with it. He searched around the plant, until grabbing one of the steel beams above Sonic. He found him.

Robotnik: "So that's what you were after? Your little useless friend."

Sonic: "Not only that. Look around you Eggman. You were so into your obsession of killing me, you didn't even notice what you were doing. Your plant is detroyed. You lose, Eggman."

Robotnik: "I'm the one who decides that!!", Robotnik shot out his hand, catching Sonic.

The barely conscious Tails shouted.

Tails: "No! Sonic!", He held out his hand, and noticed the shine from his fur leaving. All the Chaos Emerald power was changing users, and it was all heading for Sonic.

Robotnik tried to crush Sonic in between the Death Egg's hands. Sonic squirmed, almost out of hair.

Robotnik: "You're not imortal, you blue critter. I will crush between my hands, and after that I will do the same to your friends. I will crush the fox under my heel, I will incinerate the ant eater, and I will bring the cop down from his plane."

Sonic was filled in blue sparkling electricity, but it was slowly changing colour. His fur was becoming golden.

Sonic: "I will protect my friends, even if that means sacrificing myself. I won't let you harm anyone else!", Sonic blew himself away from the Death Egg's grasp.

He began floating midair, all of his hairs pointing up and changing fully to gold. He was angry, and he was more than ready to destroy the entire plant.

Robotnik: "So you've absorbed the Emerald's energy to yourself? You think that will stop me?", Sonic charged at the robot's shoulder, severing its arm completely. He looked back.

Sonic: "I know it will!"

Robotnik: "Oh...", Robotnik already knew what was coming for him.

Knuckles looked up from afar, seeing the Super form in awe.

Knuckles: "He really is one from the prophecy. He can save this land. I'll make sure of it.", Knuckles jumped and glided across the plant, looking at emeralds. "I need to get those to the shrine."

Tails observed Sonic as well, analysing him.

Tails: "He is super strong, super fast, super... Sonic. It's incredible. It hurt so much when the Chaos energy went through me, I can't believe he isn't being overtaken by it.", Tails spoke too soon.

The Death Egg was nearly fully destroyed. Only Robotnik's pod remained. Super Sonic looked at Robotnik with anger in his eyes. Robotnik could only scream in fear.

Robotnik: "How? HOW? You shouldn't be able to do this! How can you..."

Sonic's power went haywire. Sonic grabbed on to his own head, screaming in pain. Something was wrong. The golden aura that surrounded him, took the shape of flames, in his eyes red spirals were forming. The Emerald's were taking over him. Robotnik laughed:

Robotnik: "I knew it! You couldn't have possibly controlled all that power. Well, Sonic, have fun destroying yourself.", Robotnik hit a button inside his pod. Red lights shone across the plant, as a robotic voice spoke.

Speaker: "Self Destruction commencing in two minutes. 120, 119..."

Robotnik: "Have fun. I'll be heading ou...", Robotnik's pod tried to fly away, put something stopped it.

Super Sonic grabbed it. While Sonic still had some control over the form, he had to do what he could while he still had the time.

Sonic: "You want to get away, Eggman? Then I'll send you away myself!", Sonic began spinning horizontally while holding on to the pod.

Robotnik held on to it as much as he could, trying not to puke from the G force. Once the turning had reached a speed capable of forming tornadoes, Sonic launched Robotnik upwards and as far away from Mobius as he could.

Sonic landed, and once again grabbed his head. The spirals in his eyes were close to connecting to the center. He had to be fast. The chemical plant was already blowing up from the fight. He didn't have too much time.

He grabbed on to Tails, and began flying away, leaving the plant. He was now on Mobius destroyed land.

Tails: "What are you doing, Sonic?"

Sonic: "We...ngghh...", The pain was almost too much. He fell down nearly hitting the soil. He was now flying vey close to the ground. "We need to get out of here. I'll head for Tom and get us out of here with the Chaos' energy. Hopefully, we'll be able to leave here.", Sonic looked up, seeing Tom's airplane. "There. Chaos Cont...AAAGH!", As Sonic was about to head towards Tom, something else stopped him. A punch from Knuckles, hitting him from underground like in Sonic 3. Sonic and Tails fell back, as the golden shine in Sonic's fur left him. Knuckles had the emeralds with him, and the energy that consumed Sonic, had now reverted back to them.

Knuckles: "You're not getting out of here so quickly, Sonic. Remember what you promised me.", Sonic tried to catch his breath as he got up.

Sonic: "Are you kidding me? The whole island is blowing up! We need to get out of..."

Knuckles: "Not before we head to the shrine. If the island goes airborne, it won't be affected by the plant's explosion."

Sonic: "Knuckles! Do you really think we have the time?"

Speaker: "75, 74"

Knuckles: "If you're not willing to do it by choice. I'll make you do it by force."
