19 Chapter 18: Progress

When he opened his eyes, all he could see was the light coming from the entrance of the cave, with a big yawn he sniffed the air to make sure no one else was near them when he found that it was safe, he began to shift his body back to his human form. His bones crack and his size began to shrink as his cozy and warm fur vanished and both boys under him were awakened by the cold air of the morning. Eny sighed as he stretched and looked over at the bag on the side of the cave, with a smile he looked back at Pruno who had a very sleepy face, saying: "Good morning." As he patted the boy's head, soon his tone got a little colder as he looked over at Luke and said: "Good morning for you too." Luke just nodded a little sad, Pruno sighed as he knew it would take time for Eny to get used to him.

"I got you something." Eny placed the bag in front of both boys and they watched in awe as he inserted his whole arm inside the bag, although it looked small, it was bigger on th inside. The white leather bag was enchanted to be bigger on the inside, enchanting magic is something some can use by creating permanent or temporary magical effects in items. One of them is in his possession now! He took out the Ring of Gyges and gave it to Pruno and reluctantly gave the Leprechaun Shoes to Luke, who took it a little confused but glad he had something to put on his feet. "So shiny!" Promo exclaimed as he held the ring close to him and the little light reflected easily in the ring like it was a mirror. "It's pretty... Thank you, Eny." Giving his best smile to Eny, Pruno wore the ring proudly as Luke looked confused at the big shoes he had, Eny sighed and just told him: "Put them on."

As he wore the shoes, they shrank to fit his feet perfectly, this impressed Luke and made Pruno's eyes shine in excitement as he shouted: "Magic boots!?" Eny chuckled as he tapped the ring on his hand and explained: "The ring can turn you invisible at will. Try it." Pruno's eyes shone as he thought with all his might about turning invisible and then... He vanished. Eny watched as Pruno simply disappeared from his vision, and although he could not see him, he could hear his breathing and smell his scent, so it could only make him invisible and not hide him completely. "I can't see you!" Shouted Luke with an excited expression, Eny nodded his head and added: "It can only make you invisible, i can see still hear you and smell you, so I guess you can use it to hide from mortals snd Demigods effectively but not monsters."

Pruno appeared again and Luke looked back at the shoes, he looked back at Eny and he got what he wanted to ask and answered before he could ask: "They make you run on walls. They stick to the wall as you run up it, it isn't Winged Shoes like your father's but it's cool I guess." Eny turned his head away from Luke as he went back to look through the bag he got, he pulled a six-sided dice before looking at it, it had the words:

He knew better than to roll it because it was a powerful magic item that can change probability, a Luck Dice, it can change your luck for the entire day and it was very powerful, he doesn't want to roll it now because it can both save and screw his entire life, it was also a one-use thing because after rolling it, it would shatter and the dust left behind will be absorbed by the person that rolled it and that person would be blessed or cursed by the dice. Eny took it from the session of that shop he stole shit from, this one was one of the cursed items that could kill you, if it was an SCP it would be classified as Safe.

How? As long as you don't drop it, it won't activate.

Because after you drop it and it hits the floor, it counts as spinning the dice, however, the dice will always bounce as to not be cheated. It was written on the paper when he took it! It had specifically these words:

The next thing he took out was a necklace, to be more specific it was a military dog tag with the Omega and Alpha symbols, this was a magical item, and although it would make him hotter in the future, right now it was only a magical item. This item's name was [Alpha & Omega], it had two functions that were simple yet great.

They could make you go forward, Alpha, or go backward, Omega. In any direction! It consumed a little bit of his magic, but he can use it indefinitely and as much as he wants to. And better yet, it was target based when in combat, you determined your target, and using Alpha you would go towards the target, and when using Omega get away from the target. It can be used to dodge attacks as it uses your magic to pull/push you, I'm so you don't move but hover an inch from the ground.

Eny wore it because he was one of the physical fighters, and his magic spells are all status ailment inducers, he has one that can do damage but it is a trump card. As he took out a pocket mirror that was also magical, but it only activates when held by a female, he looked at himself in the mirror. Leather jacket, sunglasses, a military dog tag, he is going down the line of being a bad boy and he likes this style... Now he just needs a proper hairstyle. Maybe when he gets old he should get piercings, it sounds cool and he now wants some. But first...

"Pruno, get all your things, we're leaving. We are going to start your training in weapons tomorrow... Both of you." Eny grumbled the last part, Pruno who was talking to Luke smiled brightly at that and went to get the things Eny left behind when he left to go buy things, Grenade entered his shadow, and Luke came next to him and smiled at him, making Eny grunt and look away unknow to him Luke was reflecting on what Pruno just told him:

"You see, Eny doesn't trust anyone at first, you need to get his trust, and the best way to do that is to always speak and interact with him. He may show you that he doesn't like you or that he simply hates you, but I know he doesn't like to show emotions and only does that to me. When we're alone, he shows emotion like laughing, crying, he shows me his flaws and strengths, his weaknesses! It means he trusts me, so if he starts to smile at you, then you know you got his trust." And he just confirmed that there wasn't much hostility now as there was before, Eny simply averted his gaze. So he is making some progress!
