12 Chapter 11: River

It was hard for Eny to heal the broken body of the nine years old Luke Castellan, he used a lot of energy and had little energy after healing, which led him to eat the things they bought with stolen money. You see, with Mist, you can create Illusions easily! Eny taught Pruno how to control the Mist to create illusions and summon Mistforms with Mistcards, what they can summon are pretty much temporary. Pruno can summon a sword with his Mistcard, the sword itself is a basic Celestial Bronze sword that disappears after 5 minutes, it can also break which is worse than a normal Celestial Bronze sword. Pruno uses that sword for self-defense against monsters when they get too close and he can't use his abilities to snare them and make them wither.

The food Enychta was eating could be enough for Pruno and Luke, if you wonder how they were able to feed Luke, well, he woke up by the third day completely starving. He could not move his arms but it was safe enough for Eny to rest the boy's head on his lap and help him feed. The first interaction they had was not very verbal because he had no strength to speak, well, he had no strength at all! He couldn't keep his eyes open, it was hard for him to chew some food, and Eny had to feed him with Pruno's help. Eny wasn't sure how to get Ambrosia or Nectar, but he had a small feeling it could be brought on Mount Olympus and other shops, but to buy it he would need money.

And not dollars.

Drachmas.

Golden Drachmas.

He doesn't know how to get them... Maybe he can trade dollars for drachmas, he has a plan. He will try to get a Golden Drachma to summon the Grey Sisters and ask them if they accept dollar, if they don't it's a Drachma wasted, but if they do then he will ask them to take him to a place where he can trade his dollar for Drachmas that he will trade the dollars he has for golden Drachmas. Now, where would he find a Golden Drachma...? Monsters? Normally some monsters have a treasure where they keep the things they stole, but only dragons do that, he thinks... Sadly the first Dragon he even killed and eaten was a young dragon that had no cave that he could steal but he remembers the smell of a Dragon so he can track one down.

Or maybe ask his mother for her help, she has always helped him to find monsters to kill, but he was sure she did it out of boredom. Why? She never wanted him to be born, and he doubts she wants him to be alive now, but he thinks she also does that because of Chaos too. Chaos wanted him to be born while Nyx did not, so he thinks she just points him in the right direction because she thinks Chaos will be angry if she doesn't do it. So he should stop relying on her, not that he did rely much on her since he would only ask for her guidance when he is utterly and completely lost. But now, he has a plan that he can follow. He can search for Cyclops or Dragons, he is sure Dragons have but Cyclops is just a guess.

"Eny! Eny! He is waking up!" A very excited voice sounded from behind him as Eny was taking his bath, he moved his head towards Pruno as he saw Luke walking behind him, Eny could only sigh when he saw that the boy was walking even though he had no strength to. "Pruno, please help him here. We need to talk to him this time." Luke gulped as he felt Enychta's aura... Eny was very mature for his age and he had this leader aura around his body that made him a little intimidated. But he was a kid, so he thought that maybe Eny was like him too and could see monsters. When the pink-haired boy named Pruno helped him to get near the river Eny was bathing, he gulped nervously as Eny looked at him in the eye.

"Tell me your name and your parent's names." He demanded and Luke could only answer: "Luke Castellan, son of May Castellan, and Hermes." Pruno raised his hands in the air as if to commemorate, Eny just nodded and said: "As I thought." He of course knew it, but it would be suspicious if he simply said what he knew now. "Anyway." Eny looked at Pruno who raised his hand like he was in a classroom, even though Eny was sure the boy never went to school. "Yes, Pruno?" Pruno excitedly pointed at the ground and a small flower popped out from a small green glow from the earth. "My name's Pruno Begoni! I am the son of Persephone." Luke was surprised to see another Demigod, it was the first Demigod he ever met, his eyes turned to Eny who just sighed and said: "Enychta. Astéri Enychta. Son of Nyx, Primordial Goddess of the Night." Luke was surprised, he met two Demigods as himself!

Maybe they could stick together? He doesn't want to go back home for his mother... She is not a good person, she always hits him when she gets angry out of nowhere. "Get in the river, Pruno, time for your bath." Pruno smiled as he took off his clothes and placed them carefully on the rocks beside the river. The boy soon entered the river and suddenly a monster attacked Eny, Luke didn't react as it was too fast, but the monster came from underwater. It was a half-woman half-fish, a mermaid, she tried to bite Eny but Luke was surprised to see the mermaid just there... Floating in the air as it was stuck from below by a scorpion tail that came from Eny's tailbone. The tail threw the dead mermaid on the land as Eny began to clean his back from the blood. Luke thought that the monster would turn to golden dust but no, the corpse was there, and Eny ignored it.

Pruno just looked at the mermaid before getting into the water, the water behind Eny was stained with blood while the water where Pruno has had no blood on it. "Get it." Eny looked at Luke. "What?" He asked, a little taken back by this. "I said get in, you were barely conscious for a week, so it means you did not take a bath for one week. That monster came here because of your strong Demigod scent that is in your clothes, so I would rather have you naked here than being attacked by any monster." The clothes could get a demigod scent, Eny used this once to bait monsters and eat them, becoming the hunter and not the hunted. "O-okay." He was a little shy, after all, not a lot of people had seen him naked and it made him a little uncomfortable because of the marks that were left after his mother beaten him.

Eny just looked at Luke's body that had no bruise, it had minor scars here and there, but nothing big. Eny just scoffed before saying: "Embarrassed of such a small thing? Mine's bigger." Luke for some reason felt what Eny said was wrong, but when he looked at where Eny was pointing he was surprised to see a huge scar on his back. It was a slash scar... Pruno looked guilty at the scar as Eny began to clean his hair with shampoo and soap, he bought it from the gas station he flew over. He just made himself look older with Mist and bought it while Pruno and Luke were sleeping. Of course, he left Grenade behind, and talking about him, he is on the Underworld searching for any caves where Hellhounds would store their things because according to him some would keep things from the Demigods they killed or they couldn't digest.

His mission was to steal it.

And Eny? Ent's objective now is to get rid of this powerful Demigod scent on these boys and eat the mermaid do maybe he can get something from her.
