The Awakening

When I opened my bleary eyes, I saw May looking at me with anger and disgust in her eyes.
May Parker is my step mother.She married my father two years ago after my mom died by lung cancer.At first, I thought she was a great lady when my father introduced her to me so I encouraged my father to get married when he asked what I thought about it.Never would I have known that I was bringing a snake 🐍 in my own house 🏠.She would act all sweet when my father is in the house but act opposite when he's not home.As time passed, I saw my father was happy with her so I decided against saying anything to him so that he can be happy.Anyway, two days later I will be Eighteen years old and I'll talk to dad to move out of the house for college.
I walked out of the house still feeling a little sleepy headed when I noticed someone walking behind me. It was a man wearing a black long coat and a cap which covered half of his face which made me unable to find out how the man really looked like. I moved to the side to let the men pass but the man also stopped so I moved forward. I grew wary when I saw the man move behind me again at a fixed distance. So I stopped again only to see the man standing there.I don't know what came over me that I started walking towards the man. I asked "what is your problem? Why are you following me?". The man looked up and I saw his eyes which made a chill run through my spine.The man's eyes were green. They looked terrifying.The man looked young at his twenties but his voice was hoarse when he said, "finally,your eyes look green just like your mother boy".I grew confused. "Do I know you?". "Well,you should not".The man sized me up once.He then took out a old diary and shoved it in my hand.I looked down at the diary.The diary had a leather cover and looked polished.I looked up saying "what does it mean?" but the man was already gone.I was confused thinking about what happened but then decided to think about it later.
When I reached school gate I saw Drake and his gang teasing girls and having fun.I decided to walk away at a side avoiding them but my luck was bad.Drake said, "hey,greeny come here". I could feel anger rising inside me so I decided to walk away quickly but the other boys circled around me.Drake pushed me from the back so I fell over.My rage took over and I swinged my hand back to his stomach. Drake was caught off guard and took the blow. While Drake doubled over in pain I got up and smacked him again.By now the other boys woke up from daze and quickly ran over.So I had to stop and walked away quickly in the school . While walking my bleeding finger touched the book and the book started glowing. I was shocked and tried to hide the book in my bag but I felt a strong shock from the book and fell unconscious.
