21 Hanabi vs Temari

Both Hanabi and Temari went up to the battle field, coming out of their team position.

Temari was standing up in one corner. She had teal eyes and sandy blonde hair, which was gathered into four consecutive pigtails.

Her outfit consisted of single light purple-coloured, off-the-shoulders garment that extended halfway down to her thighs, with a scarlet sash tied around her waist.

On her opposite stood Hanabi. She looked like a young woman with long, black hair, that reached down to the middle of her back, with long parted bangs with a single lock of hair falling into her face.

She also had large, white eyes, having a hint of lilac in them.

"Start!"

Hanabi went in to attack first.

"Water Sling Shot!"

A medium sized ball of water was thrown over in Temari's direction.

"You think this would be enough to take me down? You're wrong!"

"Hurricane!"

A cyclone was initiated by Temari capturing the incoming water  shot. The water was completed drained in the cyclone.

"Nice try kiddo. Now it's my turn."

"Dust Wind Technique!"

She took her out her Giant Folding Fan out and used it to generate a gust of wind that layered the surrounding area in a gust of sand.

"Hanabi, careful!"

"Watch it, Hanabi!"

Hanabi furrowed her eyebrows for a moment before countering Temari's attack with her own.

"Azure Wave!"

Hanabi created a water body beneath her that collided with the incoming Dust Wind attack.

Both of the techniques collided, creating a water sand storm in the middle of the attack points.

It took a few moments for the aftermath to stop and the onlookers to clear their vision.

"Damn... you bastard..."

Everyone was shocked to see Temari coughing out a mouthful of blood, as she had one arm wrapped around her stomack and the another holding onto a kunai.

"It was you who stopped paying attention to your surroundings."

At her prior position, Hanabi was standing, her eyes were enlarged and had featureless white irides with no visible pupils, and veins that were bulging near her temples.

"That's..."

"Hey, isn't that..."

"Shit! She activated her..."

"BYAKUGAN!!!"

# At Team Yugao Dugout

Reo was shocked to notice Hanabi enabling her Byakugan.

"Yugao sensei, when did she activat her Byakugan?"

"You don't know? She had activated it last year. Seems to me that she was most likely trying to give you a surprise."

"Wow... so this is Byakugan."

"Just keep watching. You might learn a trick or two."

"Oh!"

# On the battlefield

"Gentle Fist!"

Hanabi, without holding anything back, started using her Byakugan techniques.

She focused her attacking mainly over the Temari's chakra points.

Most of the hits were deflected by Temari, but anyways, one-two landed right on the money.

The attack that Hanabi launched on Temari at the moment when their techniques collided, seemed to deal a heavy amount of damage to her chakra reservoir.

"Temari seems to be in a weak position..."

"Yeah, never expected the Sand Village Ninjas to be so weak..."

"Now that you said that, I too believe that this year's Sand Village representatives are quiet weak."

"Hanabi should come out victorious. It looks like our village has another one in the bag."

Hanabi was looking on the verge of victory according to the majority of the shinobi. So, in order to change the tides, she resorted to her final attacking technique.

"Sickle  Weasel Technique!"

Temari brought out her Giant Folding Fan, using which she manipulated gale to cause  air currents to collide to create vacuum pockets. Hanabi, unknown to the fearsome attack, got trapped in one of those vacuums.

"You really believe that this punny attack will be able to hold me down?"

"Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm!"

With the help of the Byakugan, Hanabi quickly identified the epicenter of the cyclone. Then, went ahead and attacked the point with a high speed vacuum thrust.

Seeing with their bare eyes, the on lookers were able to identify the vacuum being broken, and Hanabi successfully escaping out of the vacuum trap.

"It's time to finish it up."

"Palm Bottom!"

In moments, Hanabi closed up on Temari and dealt a thrust using the palm towards her upper body.

"Not so easy."

Temari deflected her attack using the Giant Folding Fan, but alas, her Fan was severely damaged in the process.

"Who said it was my final attack? My final attack is this..."

"Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Fist!"

Using the powers of the Byakugan, and combining it with the chakra inside her body, Hanabi released her most powerful fist attack.

This time Temari, unlike before, wasn't able to deflect the attack, and because of being very close to Hanabi, she was forced to take the attack directly.
